  • The Torah (or the Pentateuch, or the Law of Moses) is the name of the first five books of the Bible. It's the foundation of the rest of the Bible: everything else that happens in Scripture is rooted in the events and promises that we find in these books.

      @@jrnashley2009 i know this much that jesus (esa) was mentioned even more then our prophet of the time (muhammad) and there is a great emphasis on his story and things that he have done
      In the bibal it is mentioned as well ofcourse a little bit more then quran but mostly they have the same type of story with slight differences if i am not wrong

    02:50 this is very interesting and confusing to me. I'm reading the Bible daily as my New Year's resolution and as I was going through the pentateuch I did not understand why these Israelites began to split off into their own belief systems, and even when they were brought back to the truth they continue to Splinter off into this Pantheon that you talked about. I am currently in the book of 1st Kings right now and even as Solomon's descendants are ruling, they are falling into the same trap of pagan idolatry. Very fascinating. I found myself being quite judgmental towards them and thinking they were just being hard headed and rebellious.

      That's how I felt when I first started reading, but after some time, I realised that we are no different, if not worse, cause knowing all that we know, we do not obey God and keep His commandments. Over time I started to understand why they be haved the way they did, because we in this day and age also behave the same. Soon see ourself in Israel

    I am grateful for these teachings. I do not “believe” in a “male Sky God” but I can see a god of sorts as an inspired collective of true human kindness and wisdom. I converted to Judaism long ago in my early 20’s in protest of the horrifying evils that have been perpetrated against a single group of humans for centuries now. I was advised against it by the Rabbi but I chose it anyway in my naive youth. I have no idea if it was the right thing to do but it has taught me a lot about the ignorance of much of human race.
    I would love to have been able to take a screenshot of your chart on it’s own for the sake of my studies.

    The agreement between the two parties is called a covenant . This only happens when you have two parties in agreement with a blood sacrifice and a meal. Read Exodus 24 . If you want to know more truth go to Matthew Nolan Torah to the tribes on TH-cam.

    The Qur'an states that he gave the Bible to Jesus and the Psalms to David. It is not said that the Torah was given to Moses. There are religious scholars who say that it is a general book.There are those who say that the Bible, the Psalms, and the Torah are the only books.

    Israelis were not different from the others. In fact, they were the most disobedient nations. But God wanted them free because he always keeps his promise. He promised Abraham to make him a great nation. Yes he fulfilled his promises.

  • @Zzzsleepzzz
    @Zzzsleepzzz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hmm so there’s a few things that were a bit off. It’s Abraham who makes the covenant- that he and his make decedents will be circumcised and promise of the land of Canon. It is through the descendent that we see people who have turned away from G-d and made terrible choices. We learn through them what behavior is acceptable and not acceptable but it is really reinforced when Moses talks to G-d and leaves his privilege but shows proof of G-d’s existence and will to free them from Egypt. Mosses is the one to give us our 10 commandments but yes it boils down to the 2 things you mentioned: loyalty and being kind to one another. We will see again people turning away from G-d or questioning him. They are wandering in the dessert and complain that things were better as slaves in Egypt so again Moses shows them proof of G-d existence. We will find out later on the laws of how to live, how to worship, the traditions to follow, how to make atonement for sins.

      The ten commandments hang from the two commands to love and all the rest hang from the ten. So all in all it all goes back to do you love Yah and do you love your neighbor? If you aren't keeping His commands then you absolutely do not love.

    Vs. 9 clearly says the LORD confused their language. He misunderstood the Word of Truth by labeling it "the Gods" in his teaching. Vs 7 does say "us" but later equates the "us" as the Lord(singular). Clearly the word "us" refers to nature of the Lord.

    So the choice you have is to obey or if you break the Torah (like not respecting others), then you will feel the discipline of God.
    How can you ever outlaw other people that live among you?
    People should coexist with one and other.
    Be the bigger man. If you are more advanced; don’t demolish your surroundings if they are not like you.
    Everybody is one.
    Seek for peace with your neighbors.

      This ideology is further developed in later books of the Old Testament (the books known as "the Prophets" are very concerned with how the people of Israel and surrounding nations treat the disadvantaged), and early Christian writers believed that the teachings of Jesus explicitly expanded humans' responsibility to be kind, generous, and loving to one another, regardless of status and ethnicity.

    Torah is translated into English more accurately as instruction rather than law. The usage of "Law" really mostly comes from the term nomos in the LXX and henceforth the NT. This is unfortunate, but is basically a nail in the coffin for Christians...

  • @AndresFnt

    There are so many contradictions with theism and so many lies that to me it’s obviously a man-made construct. Like one person says Gods love is unconditional and yet God gives conditions when he gives laws. God is as much absent as an absent father or mother, moreso perhaps, yet believers excuse that when it’s indefensible. They say he needs or wants us to worship/praise him, but the word needs/wants implies that God has desires which means he’s not self sufficient or self satisfied. I have basically come to believe that sure we may have been created but I don't believe whatever created us has human emotions/qualities or investment in us. I believe heaven/hell are emotional/mind states and purgatory is what we live in when we are living without direction. Kids start out in garden of eden- happy and they are given laws by society/parents and break some out of curiosity. Our intuition is our ancestral or parental knowledge- inner wisdom- when we listen to our intuition we are listening to “god” and good things happen.

      @70AD-user45 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Old Covenant laws, the Torah, were laws and legalisms that were only given to a specific people (12 tribes of Israel), for a specific length of time. During the time of Christ, the Old Covenant age was nearing its end. The age of the Old Covenantal world of Torah finally came to an end in 70 AD when the temple was destroyed, and the New Covenant age or Messianic age of the Church was born. The New Covenant became more spiritual and less legalistic. In the New Covenant, we are guided by the Spirit, not by the legalisms of Torah. If the Scriptures are a "man made construct", that's because they were written by the Hebrew Israelites, the 12 tribes of Israel. It was probably the tribe of Levi, which was the tribe of priests. Yes, they were inspired by God to write this construct, but it was ultimately a man made construct originating from the ancient age of Old Covenant Israel.

      I think the one thing everybody seem to avoid is the Egytpians did not hold Hebrews in bondage for 400 years. Nowhere is that written in a civilization that wrote things down. We know all about Egyptian civilization (dynasties, deites, Pharoahs) from what was written. But, there is nothing about bondage, plagues, Passovers, or Red seas parting. When the Torah was put together where did they get this information. To say it was oral is a stretch. Even God wrote the Ten Commandments down. And where are they.
