I use to have a friend to, I slowly unfriend her because she was just using me. We both are in a kpop dance cover group, and she would always ask me to pick her up and drop her off. She always said I was her best friend. After we both left the dance group, she never talk to me no more. Even before we join a dance group, There was a movie, “Burn The Stage” I said I was going and she ask if she could go to, I pay for her tickets and pick her up and drop her off. Again, after that she never talk to me. I also went to the jingle ball 2019, and I was talking about how happy I was to see Monsta X and I was three row to the front. I was very close. She don’t even say anything, she just look mad or annoyed of me. But when she went to the BTS concert 2019 Chicago (We live in Minnesota) she would brag about it and talk about all the time. Of course I was happy for her! I am happy when my friends are happy. After I find out, I was stress and unhappy because of her. I slowly stop being her friends. I don’t block her or unfriend her. I just left it there. Until this day, I am hurt that she used me.
I've been both the "cut-ee" and the "cut-er" (both were people I would have considered to be my "best friend" at one time) and while I miss the friendships we had together, looking back I'm better off without them in my life. Don't be scared to move forward in life, somethings aren't meant to last forever.

i understood peniel well here. i literally had to cut of a friend of mine because as much as our time together was REAL fun, in the process of it, she just deteriorated my mental health. like my pov in life just became so negative and i dont want to live like that. i cared for her so much but i want to have a healthy mindset and care for me too yknow? . it was painful to cut off but we both came into terms that wed still love and support eo forever but from a distance.

I only had to cut off one person before and that is my toxic ex-best friend. Even before the whole reason why I cut her off happened I had always had some sort of weird feeling with her and she would try to leave me out of everything, even my own birthday party. One example I remember is how I was swimming with her and another friend and my other friend's younger brother wanted to play with us but my ex-best friend didn't want him to hang out with us, therefore she said to me, "Why don't you go and hang out with him? (Blank) and I will hang out together instead." After she left my other friend said she felt bad for me but my mom just kind of brushed it off her shoulder and said it was nothing. Anytime I would like a guy she would tell me she liked him as well and I wouldn't like him forever anyways and that she matched better. And yes, I won't like the same person forever, it was just a guy I had a crush on and no big deal. So that never really gave me too many red flags but it gave me yet another weird feeling. She would invite our entire friendgroup except me to parties or sometimes I couldn't make it to a party and she would send me texts and pictures trying to make me jealous, but it didn't (I don't really care for stuff like that. Have fun with your friends like I don't mind). There was also this boy that she liked and one day she was planning on going to an amusement park with him, but her mom wouldn’t let her just hang out with him alone (Totally reasonable too). She cried about it and FaceTimed me complaining about it. I told her I agreed with her mom and that her mom is just caring for her and watching her back. The guy FaceTimed her in which she told me in a rude tone, “He’s trying to FaceTime me. Bye.” She then FaceTimed me back a few minutes later in even more tears. She stated that he said it was fine and that he didn’t actually like her in that way anyways, that he liked someone else. She asked who and she said it was me. Of course my dumb self goes, “Who’s (my name)?” Because I am a certified idiot lol. She then proceeded to tell me, “You know what, it’s fine. Your just smarter than me, prettier than me, and better than me in every way possible.” And hung up. I was super confused and felt so bad. The breaking point was when we were in P.E. one morning and I had asked her a question *completely* unrelated to what she replied with. I had asked her a question on one of the things we had to do and she began to look around the room, then looked at me and shouted, "You want to have s*x!" The whole room looked at me and I had to hold back my tears for the rest of the period because I was so embarrassed.. Other people even came up to me after class asking if I really did want to have s*x. When I got to my mom’s car I immediately told her what happened to which she texted my ex best friend’s mom. Her mom didn’t even care. She only said, “That’s too bad that your daughter is going to let this ruin their friendship that they have had for seven years.” It is all of a sudden my fault?? Control your daughter first. The next day is when we cut ties. I had told her that I didn’t like the way she was acting at the moment and how the person she was becoming wasn’t the same person I used to know. I even stated that when she changed into a better person we could be friends again. This is how she responded (Note: remember how she tried to make me jealous and realize what she tells me here), “It’s my fault? You always try to make me jealous when you go on vacation with (blank). I always have your back and you never have mine. It was just a joke, learn to take one. You better not get in the way of my other friendships. You know what, there is no point in staying friends with someone like you” (This is what she somewhat said. I can’t remember her exact words but this part of what she said to me). That last sentence made me cry so hard, and that wasn’t even the last of it. She went to this one girl and that girl started to spread rumors about me. Thank God no one believed it. Ironically, even though she was the one that told me I better not mess up any of her friendships, she is the one trying to do that to me. She talks behind my back in sign language and when I saw my friend at a bookstore I tried sneaking up behind her to scare her and when (toxic best friend) saw me and immediately went to my friend and brought her to the other end of the store. She also was played by a guy recently and I had her back for it and helped her feel better, even after all she did to me. Even though I try to avoid her at all costs, I don’t want to see her hurt. No one should have to feel that pain, even your enemies or people you dislike. If there is anything I have learned, is to not just listen to gut feelings, because they can definitely can be wrong, but to also watch how they treat others around you as well as yourself. If you get that feeling keep watch of the signs. Even if they don’t treat you bad, if they treat others badly that is enough to cut them off. You and no one else deserves that. You are way better off without people like them! Edit: Also forgot to mention the day we cut ties I had an eye doctor appointment and my vision was all blurry from crying and it was also my friend’s birthday party. I said hi to her there and kept my distance, but when my friend saw what she had been texting she told me, “She has been texting everyone that you keep talking to her and are already on good ties with her again..” Yeah. Uhm no I am not but okay spread rumors I guess.
That's a lot to have to go through, on both ends. There seemed to some miscommunication and a lot of emotional bullying/ manipulation... It gets better, and especially during times like this, it helps to really put in to perspective what/ who really deserves your time/love/energy. 🤗
JaeTae Gang Yes, it has almost been a year since we cut ties and I feel SO much better! I am glad that my other friends all had my back and are still with me to this day! I also wish the best for her!
ME TOO ASHLEY!! except me and my ex-friend were only friends for a little more than a year, she kicked me out of the group chat randomly, I found out through other people in that friend group that she was trash talking me for a while because she thought I was after her boyfriend. After three years of a shaky friendly acquaintanceship (my NYC hs had like 400 kids, it's hard to avoid people) and an iffy apology (her boyfriend made her apologize to me so idk how genuine it was), I got a real genuine apology. But, now we're out of each other's lives and cleared the air it's all gucci.
I've left a lot of friends because they were fake friends(frienemies), they lied to me, and we just grew distant but they didn't bother making an effort to hang out. It hard to find good people to have fun with, especially when I'm a very simple person.
I just recalled this milktea shop that I liked near my office. They'd ask your preference if you like your tea(bag) light, moderate or hard-pressed. Peniel and BM go straight away hard-pressing the tea here! I listened to the whole podcast last night and it was so funny, I didn't get to sleep right away. 🤣.
I thought it was the full episode but yeah, i really love it hahaha. I've just listen to the podcast yesterday before I sleep and it was really funny & i kinda relate to what they are talking about. Now, i'm so excited to see the full video so i'll be able to see their facial expressions hahahaha. Since Peniel and BM most of the time have a crazy and teasing expression when Ashley saying something hahahaha. I love them so much 😭💛💛 Thank you for this podcast!!!

Edit: Also forgot to mention the day we cut ties I had an eye doctor appointment and my vision was all blurry from crying and it was also my friend’s birthday party. I said hi to her there and kept my distance, but when my friend saw what she had been texting she told me, “She has been texting everyone that you keep talking to her and are already on good ties with her again..” Yeah. Uhm no I am not but okay spread rumors I guess.
That's a lot to have to go through, on both ends. There seemed to some miscommunication and a lot of emotional bullying/ manipulation... It gets better, and especially during times like this, it helps to really put in to perspective what/ who really deserves your time/love/energy. 🤗
JaeTae Gang Yes, it has almost been a year since we cut ties and I feel SO much better! I am glad that my other friends all had my back and are still with me to this day! I also wish the best for her!
ME TOO ASHLEY!! except me and my ex-friend were only friends for a little more than a year, she kicked me out of the group chat randomly, I found out through other people in that friend group that she was trash talking me for a while because she thought I was after her boyfriend.
After three years of a shaky friendly acquaintanceship (my NYC hs had like 400 kids, it's hard to avoid people) and an iffy apology (her boyfriend made her apologize to me so idk how genuine it was), I got a real genuine apology. But, now we're out of each other's lives and cleared the air it's all gucci.
When i watched BM n peniel's reaction, i already knew where the comment section would be going HAHAHA

I've left a lot of friends because they were fake friends(frienemies), they lied to me, and we just grew distant but they didn't bother making an effort to hang out. It hard to find good people to have fun with, especially when I'm a very simple person.

I thought it was the full episode but yeah, i really love it hahaha. I've just listen to the podcast yesterday before I sleep and it was really funny & i kinda relate to what they are talking about. Now, i'm so excited to see the full video so i'll be able to see their facial expressions hahahaha.
