  • Hello and welcome to my channel. Truth be told this might be one of the less exciting videos I've posted. About six months ago a friend had an American Sycamore tree taken down and as I sorted thru the stack of pieces destined for the burn pile, I spied this cool chuck of wood. The American Sycamore is also known as the Button tree because it has these cool bumps on the trunks that look like, you guessed it, buttons. This was one of the pieces. I placed it in a box of saw dust to slowly dry for those months and then decided to make something of it. I don't know if I'd call this a bowl or not but I think it turned out pretty cool The bark looks a bit like camouflage and it has some nice dark grain near the center hole. What do you think? Would you be ok with this as a display piece or fruit bowl? Or should it be put back in the burn pile???
How do you like the video? Comments? Concerns? Suggestions?
