Hey neighbor, well almost… you live in west Tennessee, in Jackson. I’m out in Chattanooga area fairly often though. I just picked up an 84 928S that I am slowly going through getting back to dusky driver status.
I'd be adding some Techron to the fuel tank to help clean out those injectors, along with a few more gallons of good gas to dilute the old stuff that's been sitting for far too long.
I just bought a 1985 928 Aston Silver metallic for 2000. 56,000 miles on it and it also needs a key. You’ve got the 16 valve one. A little less maintenance on your part. Yours is a little cleaner than mine.
Magnificent car we are all very jealous 😅 Be respectful of that beautiful car its a work of art And after its running smooth Stat away from any lakes .... water is very risky for 928s 😅😅😅
The autos are actually more rare in the early cars.....more 5 speeds were used in the early cars.....the 5 speed didn't become rare until about 86..... Never less, this will be a good project. Just because this car was free, it won't be cheap. I'll guarantee, you will easily have 15-20K in this!..... I'm going through this right now on my 78.
Do ya need a 87 euro model? Black and black leather. I parked it 15 years ago in garage and not been moved since. I just not got money to get on road. I may just part it out on eBay for income.
It's me again was just going to give you the obligatory sub for helping out sleeper dude but actually like your content
Thanks! I'm going to have some more stuff like this coming soon!
I always keep a fire extinguisher close by when messing with old cars.
So awesome you got it running!
Dude for real you need more subs because this is good content

I'm getting a 928 my father inlaw sold it to me can't wait to fix it up
Replace ball joints as quickly as possible with steel ones
Vacuum valve in the fuel distributor probably stuck
Does the rarity of manual transmission cause problem finding the spare parts to repair it?

Good luck! I own 3! It’s a disease. You’re $10k in parts away from a great driver
