The struggle is real for many of us without huge garages and perfect climate! Time waits for no-one. As you say it's functional. A man gotta do what a man gotta do!
Wow. That looked stressful with the wind. Well done for persevering with that annoying wind. Always seems to be the way, just when you could do with a nice still day!
The speakers are unusually slim and it is difficult to find replacements without doing some surgery to the bodywork . The easiest solution is to use the original speakers and refoam them. You can even recone them. I have refoamed the speakers in my car and they sound great.
When you go to paint, it appears car was originally mocha brown? Are you going to have all areas with factory paint changed to whatever color you choose?
Hi Jeff, yes car was originally Mocha Brown. The big colour debate will start early in the new year, but yes, will look to do a full colour change where possible
Hey Ed. The back of a 928 is steel. It’s only the bonnet, front wings and doors that are made from aluminium. That said, naked aluminium will also oxide quite quickly as well and needs priming quickly. Thanks for watching :)

Thanks for your comment Paul, #fightingNature

Thanks Graham. Yeah I see a lot of chat about finding speakers. I believe there are some out there that fit - if I find them I’ll post here
I can imagine spraying a car with rattle cans outside in winter is not the definition of fun... :-) You're certainly putting in the hard work Todd!
lol Neil, not my best moment…

Aluminum doesnt rust

Although it doesn't rust, it oxides. Aluminum needs to be coated right after it's stripped, to prevent oxidation.
it oxidises as a crusty white powder...white rust if you will 😂
As is evident along the top of my engine bay sidewall when I removed the wing. Steel meets aluminium + 45 years :)
