    After months of cutting, welding, grinding and drilling the 1980 Honda CB650 Bobber is ready to ride.
    Today we are faced with multiple challenges before we can even take the bike for its first test ride. It can be discouraging...feeling like everything is working against you.
    When I finally get to throw a leg over this custom machine you realize all the hard work was worth it.
    This Bobber Build Series is sponsored by Tucker.com. The one stop shop for all your bike needs.
    Also sponsored by SSGear.com.
    Thanks for hanging out.

      @@silkcustoms520 yeah 1978 cb 750 k , can get it to fire up, with choke only. Need to replace accelerator pimp. And from what I have seen might have stuck check ball below that pump.

    raise the carb needles higher or change to bigger main jet to match the air, your bike not only look good and will have better performance for even more horse power use a metal to block the front engine to prevent the filter sucking hot air

  • @greybeard5774
    @greybeard5774 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    There's no such thing like "too much air" to burn the fuel .. no need to put any extra garbage in those filters. Warm the thing up first and then test it on the road .. if it still won't respond to a throttle as fast as you might like, raise the carb needles higher.
    Otherwise nice job .. "liked" all those vids :)

  • @cunningplan96
    @cunningplan96 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Blocking the air filters is the wrong way to go. Re jetting is the only way.

    Why not just increase the pilot jets and air/fuel screws instead of blocking your air intake?

    • @MOTOPILOT6
      @MOTOPILOT6  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      POD filters are flawed by design. They do not smooth out the airflow like a stock airbox and they allow air to come from all directions (which is bad), unlike a velocity stack. The inserts I made act as a velocity stack and changes the airflow to be smoother and more direct. All the jetting in the world can't fix that problem in a filter. I changed just the main jets as a base to see how it ran with the POD mod. It ran great so no need to gamble on additional jetting or changing the needle height. Thanks for the concern. MP
