That Sportster chop is a knockout! The forks are just right -- length, fork boots and all. I like the hi-low pipes. The drag bars with the high risers are tough. It's got kind of a NorCal chop vibe going for it -- a great road bike. Ohio grown choppers! -- W in Cleveland.
Dan, you're my favorite builder! Love the Gasbox frames, the welds have "stack of dimes" TIG beads that are out of this world! This is just a teaser, Get Mikey to film more building. We want to see how you do your builds- assembly, forks, accessories, rides, sounds. Gimme Gimme Gimme. Give Todd a break in front of the camera....
Just picked up an 01 1200 sporty and your builds (specifically no.28) are almost exactly the style I am going for. Thanks for the inspiration Dan 🤙🏼 Will be doing a build series on my channel too, I’ll be hitting you up @lowbrowcustoms 🤘🏼
Got my Gasbox full frame at the end of February. Phenomenal weld work and quality in these frames. 10/10 my only question is how hard it's going to be to have inspected and titled down here in GA. Of anyone has gone through the process, don't be shy.
Love sporty's and I've been customized them for years as bobbers, chops etc. I just hope ppl dont start thinking there worth gold now that a) Harley is no longer going to be manufacturing them and b) they've gotten so popular as a platform to build on. Oh well I guess such is life and the sporty will become next generations shovelhead haha
Unless you want to go Ironhead I would think the ideal years for 1200s would be 94 (95 for speedo) - 03 for reliability. Love to get some input though.
I have a '72 iron head and a '05 1200C they both run like a German sewing machine. The '72 is the bar hopper and the Mrs. loves crusing on the back of the custom. They are great bikes and have been a blast to build and maintain!!
100% agree, I would go 95-03 because I don't want to deal with the mechanical speedometer. Anything before 94 has too many POTENTIAL issues, not saying they're bad, just that the further along the production line you go, they better they become. The 2000 to 2003 run is objectively the best sorted out of the whole Evolution Sportster line.
Great stuff brother….By the way….Hey we’ve got another one of our own in need. Don’t know if you’re sub’d with Itchymoche n Vee….. great brother been giving us great content along time, great stories to share. Check out his latest video. His wife’s really been battling. Thanks bro.
Did you (or the bike) do the Fuel Cleveland ride this year? I think this bike passed me and I thought what a bitchin’ bike this was. It just looked SO GOOD going down the road. Nice job!
I have a 97 iron 1200 and just picked up an 87 frame, got a lot of work ahead of me, previous owner got robbed and they stripped the bike and left the frame
I have ridden rigid ironheads from Upstate NY to Seattle and back. I am no hero, but if Cannonball Baker can ride a 15 hp, 1919 Indian from Canada down to Mexico on dirt roads, who the hell am I to complain!? Sportsters "were" the true Harley Davidson.....not easy on the body, but a blast to ride! Harley now has gone the way of the 🦖 T-Rex.....new Harleys....meh!
I have a 1987 sportster I want to build a old-school chopper like in the 70s want a springer like a 16 over with a 6inch take I seen one asked the guy what the measurements were that's what he told me don't know if they are right but you get the idea my wife passed left me the bike so I don't want to mess it up want a professional to do my front end I have money put back for it but. Don't know if I have enough but should have enough to start shopping for someone to do it what is the ballpark figure on something like that I am very serious about this will bring the bike to you and pay in advance and have a couple of other bikes to ride so there will be no hurry as long as it's a reasonable amount of time hopefully 1year or less hopefully you would be interested in doing it for me I love your bikes this bike is very special to me I want it done right is why I'm asking you budget of about 10 grand for the build right now and if you do decide to do it should I have it painted before or after you work on it please consider doing it for me I've never done this before and don't want to get ripped off or worse ruin the bike
not a Swastika at all - that logo is design used by a religious sect in the 1960’s Process Church of the Final Judgment A band called Integrity uses it a lot in their imagery. Not a racist or symbol that stands for anything a german swastika represents. we wouldn't of featured it if it did.

Good job 👏 those gas box pipes and frame make that bike. Low brow customs always killing it. Only thing I don’t recommend is a sporty before 91 with the shitty 4 speed tranny that grenades and has issues with the magnets falling off inside there. 91 and up 5 speed is the way to go. He just uses the 86-90s because it’s cheap as shit and that helps his profit don’t blame him!
Really nice Sporty Chop. My only complaint is that it was not fired up so we could hear it in action.
Can we have a follow up with some rolling footage and startup?!
Someone else who see's what I see in Sportster's. 45 years of riding and there's always been at least one Sporty in the barn. I like Your builds.

Got a picture of your bike at Fuel Cleveland....love the bike....
This dudes gnarly as hell. Keep being a legend my guy!
Just got this postcard from y’all and then the video shows on my feed! Nice!!!
Pataskala ohio here, I'm in the middle of my sportster build with almost everything coming from lowbrow.
The Process points cover is badass!

Need this guy to work on my 89 evo sporty! Bikes look amazing 🤟
Just beautiful, the kind of bikes that make anyone feel like they're the coolest cat around.

Looks great I will say one of cleanest bike. The tank looks great but my lawnmower holds more gas it's a lot of stops but still looks awesome
Super clean. I love a good sporty build.
I wish I could do more than like this video. That’s the look I love.
That Shovel was unreal
Oh yeah! Just what we needed. ✌️
I live in marshaville ohio, glad to find ya,that close...
So cool project bikes!
Clean! Long live the sportster!
✊

The Samhain poster is cool too.
Back in the 1960s, I owned a dog like that. I named him "Magoo."
would love a vidoe describing how to wire aftermaket speedometer for 94-96 bikes
Love you guys! Great products!
Gas box 📦 is nice currently working on 1 looped frame. That shovel he built is my definition of a chopper. Idk Midwest had a style
Bravo. FORZA!🍻😎👍
Guarantee, he plays” let the day begin”every morning off that album😂
I also have an 87 Sporty that I have used Low Brow parts on. And an Italian flag in my music studio.
I think I’m going to have to do this to my shitbox 87 sporty.. thanks!

Looking clean and serene
I want one of those air cleaners.

Man wish I could get those pipes on my '13
Nice
I love the bike man

Yes Dan was helping with the ride
Do you build any thing that can go across country comfortably? I have a 2000 1200 sporty and want to customize it
Wondering how difficult it is to convert the MSO paperwork into a title in Tennessee. Random I know.
What kind of seats are you using?
Can you still put a skinny classic rim on the back of that frame
Hell yeah!! the italian flag 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
I have a 97 iron 1200 and just picked up an 87 frame, got a lot of work ahead of me, previous owner got robbed and they stripped the bike and left the frame
Anyone from CA build one of these with a rigid frame (not hardtailed)? Curious to hear what the DMV process was like.
🤟🏻🇮🇹a great progect !!!!
Dig that red sporty. What year would have a kick start?
led sled makes a kick start for 86-03 sportsters.
It needs the Led Sled kicker conversion
Why are mid 80s to early 90s preferred? thanks in advance.
I got a 98 sportster, how do I get that tall front end look?
either rake it or get a different frame. This bike is using a Gasbox full frame 3" up and 6 over tubes
What air cleaner is that?
Air Cleaner: Plumb Cycles
Nice looking bikes!
TITANIUM BLAC N WAIT

Sportys are chill man! Idk why they get such a bad rap! Its a fn motorcycle! 💯 idc if you ride a moped! I'll ride with ya! Hasta la muerte!

I faqkd up and sold my 1967 XLH😭 piglet
I don't understand the appeal of T bars
Love the bike, not loving the "Swastika" style iron cross on the ignition cover...
not a Swastika at all - that logo is design used by a religious sect in the 1960’s
Process Church of the Final Judgment

@@lowbrowcustoms ooh okay my bad dude, it really looked swastika like to me especially being in the style of an iron cross
20 years of what? slapping pre-manufactured parts and call the bike a custom? Doesn't work for me!!!
“Invited Assembler”
Sent you an email at death co

Nice video nice bikes but too much nazi symbolism everywhere. Cringe
Beautiful bike. However, if you are gonna put a nude on a tank she should be shaven; no pubes. Just saying.
two words: "landing strip" 😎
gays call it a "sporty"
Whats with the swastika?
