@@gonorland you got it wrong. He's crazy good and can singlehandedly cover 3 roles perfectly in hydra. Simply he doesn't fit into the best teams because he's limited to those three roles, which are not mandatory for optimal results. He's low on raw damage, doesn't enhance other champions' damage and doesn't protect the whole team by himself.
Since Mythical champs are outrageously difficult to acquire, I think I'd limit the list to Legendaries, which would easily make room for Mithrala, Nekmo Thaar, Sulfuryion, etc.
I’d rather see a replacement list. Ie take the top 5 Damage & Supports. If you don’t have X, Y is the next best option. More helpful to most of us than staring at lists of champs we will never have! Thanks!

Saffron Man did an award show 4 years ago, and then did another one the following year, but then abandoned the idea of doing it a 3rd time, and then stopped playing raid/making content over a year ago. Now, years later, Plarium are doing an award show with Nub involved, and Saffron is mad about it. Nothing was stolen from him. He stopped doing the award show, and now he's just jealous and salty because someone else is doing it instead of him. If he feels like Raid Awards is *HIS* thing exclusively, then he should've carried on doing it each year.

I’ve also pulled 2 firrols one in a progressive chance and one on a clan boss reward ancient shard. I felt so blessed. ALSO pulled TRUNDA off a 1 ancient shard from clan boss with no boosts or anything. I’ve only been playing for 3 months
On Harima, I simply swap a defense banner for an accuracy banner for Hydra and she provokes very well when combined with the 80 additional accuracy from the Area Bonuses.
Nub-Androc is used for those hydra teams with lady mikage, androc, and Taras because its kinda like the old cadaver team-3 buff extenders-your Gharol and taras always have max buffs on allies which is insane for taras nuke and Gharols A2. His extension also adds different buffs-increase res, strengthen and cont. heal. You get a team of pretty much everyone having max buffs that never run out.
Jist getting the Archer in my team took me from 90 million on hard to 212 million. What really surprised me is her healing. She's easily doing 10 - 12 million in healing every time. The ONLY reason my run ends is getting consumed. She's amazing.
I would love to fuse Mikage. It seems Plarium doesn't feel the same way and has turned off Dalaaja for my account. I've pulled more shards for that damn epic than any other champ I have tried to get lol.
Harima even in arena build can place all the required debuffs at least on hard/brutal if you add ascension and area bonuses. In my brutal team she does like 500 mil dmg being only provoker and decrease atk champ. She pairs so well with Mikage hitting for 1mil with Mikage doing her A1. For me she is 3in1 champ making room for second ally attack champ.
I've played for 5 years and have done every event to get Trunda and no dice. She's even more difficult to get now since she's this OP and everyone wants her now. Guaranteed, Plarium adjusted her drop rate just like they did the rates for Mikages fusion. Those rares before Mikage were dime a dozen, now just stupid lego drop% levels.
Husk and Geo do hardly any damage compared to the ones he mentioned in the video. They probably do 5 or more times less damage. 350M on NM is good but no where near top tier. Husk is WAY worse than acrizia. And Acrizia has been out of the top non-trunda teams for many months if not a year or more. Varl and other scaling nukers can just do SO much more damage with even just good (and not amazing) gear. Sham and Uugo are still in great teams that can do 1 billion+ though.
7 months later I just have mikage (I use her with oboro) and varl (waiting to fully book him) I still struggle in brutal (I have to manual it) mostly because I lack in support champs for 3 hydra teams...
Nub. I know your focus was on the champs that yield the super high damage counts. I'd be interested to see a list geared toward players progressing. Maybe who do you sub in when you don't have those big guns on your roster.

@@YEBOTRickZ also remember to prioritise the skills for Gizmak( both forms) including the metamorph or he will never change and you will want him changing frequently to keep the burn up and the pain link up. Unless you want to cnstantly manual your hydra fights

The logic of Yumeko not being the problem can be used the other way around. Trunda on her own doesn't do millions of damage without the double Yumeko behind her. They should fix both.
Well yes I agree, but Trundas attack (second hit) does crit damage on top of crit damage. They fixed this on that one rare dwarf champ. If they were to fix that, one big part (most of it) of the problem would be gone
@@thomasleity437 The problem with the A2 is that if you have double yumeko you can use that skill back to back. Fix Yumeko broken reset skill and big part (most of it) will be gone. My point still stands.

If they would adapt the skill as they did with the rare dwarf, it wouldn't kill the hydra heads instantly and it would even teams out... I don't remember positively, but I think saph did a video about a month ago with just one and 2 pain keepers. Check his channels history, shouldn't be too hard to find

i set my alaz to automatically morph to his 2nd form, probably just my team though, he keeps some of my revivers alive with that heal and res/strengthen buffs
Thanks for great content… a couple of controversial comments … 1. Firrol is NOT a direct swap for Dutchess in every team. I have both and i do agree that he is good BUT! He doesn’t bring increase atk! No damage mitigation passive and of course revive AND SPEED AURA. I swapped my dutchess for him and i can go to end of turn meter with both setups but i get almost same damage and with him i have to manually alot more… my comp is rathalos, krisk, uggo, venus, michi… Rathalos will do similar damage with both because one comp brings increase atk vs non but he has that passive…. Another underrated mention for me would be Alatreon Blademaster… he keeps my brutal team alive with no revivers and only uggo healing.
Please do a guide on androc I'm having a hard time understanding how his base form passive works I though ithos would be great with him cuz the triple hit AOE but I think the tm fill is capped per skill cuz I thought it would be a 60% tm increase but it's not even close

Hi Nubs. You should have said that Hydra has become an horrible game mode with Hydra Clash. It takes sooooo long to play each key to maximize your score, it's awful. Plarium really needs to reduce the maximum number of turns. People feel really bad about Hydra Clash now and it should be the opposite since this is a cool competitive game mode that gives some nice rewards.
Interesting. You know I don’t think You have to rank Hydra champions as single actors. Instead it is more important to see which duo or trio work out best. So instead of having section in HellHades web page about Best Hydra champs, I would benefit more of which 2-3 champs work best together. That is because I have around 160 legos and all the epics and I just need to figure out which 18 champions I need for best results. Why champions are good for Hydra in some cases is not obvious, or why specific champ works best if it is in specific set and running in specific speed. Looking forward for more great hydra content! In our clan CvC and Hydra is the main focus, even if I am F2P.

i have 2 trundas and a kymar. maybe 20M on easy. only other champ i have is michinaki, whom i cant gear to the brutal or higher levels. (5 yr daily player)
The thing about saying yumeko is not the problem is people without Yumeko can use Trunda to get good Damage but not break the game. Yumokos reset is what takes this to crazy levels. If they were to nerf Trunda it would hurt players with Trunda a more accessible champion. Double yumeko is a whale thing. It won’t get nerfed . People spent a ton of money to get Yumeko
Realistically you probably could do a top 40. So many champs that got left off that are very viable. Interesting that you don’t have a AOE block buff champ in your top 20. On a side note. The Barbarian archer is a cheat code for Hydra. Her passive does so much healing for your team. It really is unfortunate their was not an easy viable way for everyone to get her. Ultimate lockdown Hydra champ.
I get why you didn't pick Duchess, but while I actually have some of the champs on your list duchess is the key to making my top team work and I would choose her over them.
Alaz is absurd! I have a team scoring 300 mln damage (duchess, angar, ratalos, nekmo, artak and uugo) then I replace Angar with Alaz and my damage increase to 650 mln, he brings by himself 260 mln. something I don't even expect to see!
duchess is completely out of all 3 teams at this point, and i dont even have firrol. if youre tanky enough theres just no point in bringing her along. its always better to bring a shamael instead unless you absolutely need a reviver. on the who just does or doesnt make it in, id say nekmo, gnut or mithrala should all go in over razzledazzle. just cause their value to the rest of the team is much greater, and they work in all kinds of teams. you can make one very specific type of team wit razzmatazz, and if its built well it can do really good numbers. but he has very little value in any other type of hydra composition. so you either build a team 100% around him, or you dont bring him at all, ever. its a personal preference thing but i always value the high utility plug and play options alot higher than the pure specialists.
Graazur "solid" damage - My Graazur hits for 240m in Nightmare and my stats are ~5k def, 200 crit damage, 230 spd. People still really haven't gotten to witness the power of Slayer. The 9 piece bonus has some kind of calculation thing happening when hitting decapped heads with hex. When it procs, I can get anywhere from 5m-20m in one hit with the enemy max hp.
the only one i find really questionable is harima. She is a great dps especially paired with mikage, but i´m not sure why she made your top 20. Cardial is somewhat borderline, but i can see why he is there. Everyone else i agree with probably. Missing not totally from the list, but should have at least been mentioned imo is mashalled.
@isma6049 I just did 1b at hard with 1 yumeko , she not only researched themselves but other champions with similar skills. I use yumeko and nia and work just fine , yumeko reste team and nia reset yumeko and fight goes on that way
My negrigante archer does more damage then my gnut. Crazy. When I pair my ninja with mikage he does over 100mill damage himself. Ninja definitely has a place in hydra even without mikage
I build a team with: Trunda, Lydia, Emic, Padric, Ma'shalled (but any good nuker is fine) and do 2.8 billions on hard. You could do good stuff with Trundra even without double yumeko...for sure double Yumeko is something absurd
Yeah it's really tough. I have been playing around with it but have only one yumeko and unfortunately I can't get the timing right because she gets devoured or takes too long to kill the heads and doesn't have her abilities back to hit the decapitated heads and weak hitting on force affinity and poison cloud etc. etc.
@@jasonsaulters6027 I use 1 yumeko with nia and emic , emic taunted prevent trundra to be devoured and yumeko reset team for the second cycle of skill, them nia reset yumeko , that way she will have her reset in 2 turns , making emic taunt perma , so everyone goes a3, a2 , a3, forever if nothing wrong happens, rest of team is mikage and Lydia for busters the dmg , arbiter can replace mikage if u don't have her yet

Just because he is strong on your weak team doesn’t mean he is stongest 20 in the game.
Plenty of champs can carry whole teams, but they're still mid tier. There are just so many champions

Sulfuryion matches my Gnut in my NM Hydra team for top dmg.
Gizmak is insanely good as well. Pain Link is super fun and Gizmak brings a lot with him.

I just got Grand Oak from saving up 20 sacreds, and doing the guarantee event. For the first time I did over 35 million. And he has no masteries yet.
I haven't booked mine yet and he's helped my brutal team immensley. 10/10 champ
I did 100m with him in team on brutal. Before that I did around 50 at max. He is insane champ.

I replaced Elva with him and went from 250 to 450m on nightmare, with some other small changes. He's a beast.

don't forget hp burn is so critical for basically negating poison cloud, enabling even more damage
This is the only part I don't understand about Hydra. Can you explain why HP burn negates it?

Poison cloud still activates but HP burn makes it not work. This is so that if hp burn comes off before the poison cloud then it will work as normal
Nub-Androc is used for those hydra teams with lady mikage, androc, and Taras because its kinda like the old cadaver team-3 buff extenders-your Gharol and taras always have max buffs on allies which is insane for taras nuke and Gharols A2. His extension also adds different buffs-increase res, strengthen and cont. heal. You get a team of pretty much everyone having max buffs that never run out.
Pretty sure before Firrol was introduced into the game people who didn't have Dutchess were using Tatura

Jist getting the Archer in my team took me from 90 million on hard to 212 million. What really surprised me is her healing. She's easily doing 10 - 12 million in healing every time. The ONLY reason my run ends is getting consumed. She's amazing.

I would love to fuse Mikage. It seems Plarium doesn't feel the same way and has turned off Dalaaja for my account. I've pulled more shards for that damn epic than any other champ I have tried to get lol.
Harima even in arena build can place all the required debuffs at least on hard/brutal if you add ascension and area bonuses. In my brutal team she does like 500 mil dmg being only provoker and decrease atk champ. She pairs so well with Mikage hitting for 1mil with Mikage doing her A1. For me she is 3in1 champ making room for second ally attack champ.
I've played for 5 years and have done every event to get Trunda and no dice. She's even more difficult to get now since she's this OP and everyone wants her now. Guaranteed, Plarium adjusted her drop rate just like they did the rates for Mikages fusion.
Those rares before Mikage were dime a dozen, now just stupid lego drop% levels.
What about these guys - Uugo, Husk, Shamael, Geomancer? These guys are in the teams which can do like 350 millions+ damage on nightmare hydra.
Uugo and Shammy yes top20 but Husk and Geo dont perform as well in lower levels of hydra
Husk and Geo do hardly any damage compared to the ones he mentioned in the video. They probably do 5 or more times less damage. 350M on NM is good but no where near top tier. Husk is WAY worse than acrizia. And Acrizia has been out of the top non-trunda teams for many months if not a year or more. Varl and other scaling nukers can just do SO much more damage with even just good (and not amazing) gear. Sham and Uugo are still in great teams that can do 1 billion+ though.
I have husk I don't think I have him built right bc I get nothing out of him

7 months later I just have mikage (I use her with oboro) and varl (waiting to fully book him) I still struggle in brutal (I have to manual it) mostly because I lack in support champs for 3 hydra teams...
Nub. I know your focus was on the champs that yield the super high damage counts. I'd be interested to see a list geared toward players progressing. Maybe who do you sub in when you don't have those big guns on your roster.

@@YEBOTRickZ you need a provoke and hex ideally archer or could do mythrala and maulie then shamail and if you can a utility champ like cardiel, lydia sunwookong (block buffs and buff removal) or nekmothaar
@@YEBOTRickZ also remember to prioritise the skills for Gizmak( both forms) including the metamorph or he will never change and you will want him changing frequently to keep the burn up and the pain link up. Unless you want to cnstantly manual your hydra fights

The logic of Yumeko not being the problem can be used the other way around.
Trunda on her own doesn't do millions of damage without the double Yumeko behind her.
They should fix both.
Well yes I agree, but Trundas attack (second hit) does crit damage on top of crit damage. They fixed this on that one rare dwarf champ. If they were to fix that, one big part (most of it) of the problem would be gone

Fix Yumeko broken reset skill and big part (most of it) will be gone.

If they would adapt the skill as they did with the rare dwarf, it wouldn't kill the hydra heads instantly and it would even teams out... Basically as nubs said: other teams use double yumeko, yet teams with her score 25times the damage.

Trunda is part of the problem, not the whole problem. I'm not saying Trunda is not broken, I'm just calling out on the bullshit people play on she being the only problem, which is a lie.

I don't remember positively, but I think saph did a video about a month ago with just one and 2 pain keepers. Check his channels history, shouldn't be too hard to find

i set my alaz to automatically morph to his 2nd form, probably just my team though, he keeps some of my revivers alive with that heal and res/strengthen buffs

1. Firrol is NOT a direct swap for Dutchess in every team. I have both and i do agree that he is good BUT! He doesn’t bring increase atk! No damage mitigation passive and of course revive AND SPEED AURA. I swapped my dutchess for him and i can go to end of turn meter with both setups but i get almost same damage and with him i have to manually alot more… my comp is rathalos, krisk, uggo, venus, michi…
Rathalos will do similar damage with both because one comp brings increase atk vs non but he has that passive….
Another underrated mention for me would be Alatreon Blademaster… he keeps my brutal team alive with no revivers and only uggo healing.

Please do a guide on androc I'm having a hard time understanding how his base form passive works I though ithos would be great with him cuz the triple hit AOE but I think the tm fill is capped per skill cuz I thought it would be a 60% tm increase but it's not even close

Hi Nubs. You should have said that Hydra has become an horrible game mode with Hydra Clash. It takes sooooo long to play each key to maximize your score, it's awful. Plarium really needs to reduce the maximum number of turns. People feel really bad about Hydra Clash now and it should be the opposite since this is a cool competitive game mode that gives some nice rewards.

You know I don’t think You have to rank Hydra champions as single actors. Instead it is more important to see which duo or trio work out best. So instead of having section in HellHades web page about Best Hydra champs, I would benefit more of which 2-3 champs work best together. That is because I have around 160 legos and all the epics and I just need to figure out which 18 champions I need for best results. Why champions are good for Hydra in some cases is not obvious, or why specific champ works best if it is in specific set and running in specific speed.
Looking forward for more great hydra content! In our clan CvC and Hydra is the main focus, even if I am F2P.

i have 2 trundas and a kymar. maybe 20M on easy. only other champ i have is michinaki, whom i cant gear to the brutal or higher levels. (5 yr daily player)

The thing about saying yumeko is not the problem is people without Yumeko can use Trunda to get good Damage but not break the game. Yumokos reset is what takes this to crazy levels. If they were to nerf Trunda it would hurt players with Trunda a more accessible champion. Double yumeko is a whale thing. It won’t get nerfed . People spent a ton of money to get Yumeko
Realistically you probably could do a top 40. So many champs that got left off that are very viable. Interesting that you don’t have a AOE block buff champ in your top 20. On a side note. The Barbarian archer is a cheat code for Hydra. Her passive does so much healing for your team. It really is unfortunate their was not an easy viable way for everyone to get her. Ultimate lockdown Hydra champ.
Tuhanarak with block buffs and the debuff spread as a proxy. As she is void this works probably as good as aoe block buffs from e.g. Uugo or Pinthroy.

I get why you didn't pick Duchess, but while I actually have some of the champs on your list duchess is the key to making my top team work and I would choose her over them.
Alaz is absurd! I have a team scoring 300 mln damage (duchess, angar, ratalos, nekmo, artak and uugo) then I replace Angar with Alaz and my damage increase to 650 mln, he brings by himself 260 mln. something I don't even expect to see!

duchess is completely out of all 3 teams at this point, and i dont even have firrol. if youre tanky enough theres just no point in bringing her along. its always better to bring a shamael instead unless you absolutely need a reviver.
on the who just does or doesnt make it in, id say nekmo, gnut or mithrala should all go in over razzledazzle. just cause their value to the rest of the team is much greater, and they work in all kinds of teams. you can make one very specific type of team wit razzmatazz, and if its built well it can do really good numbers. but he has very little value in any other type of hydra composition. so you either build a team 100% around him, or you dont bring him at all, ever. its a personal preference thing but i always value the high utility plug and play options alot higher than the pure specialists.

Graazur "solid" damage - My Graazur hits for 240m in Nightmare and my stats are ~5k def, 200 crit damage, 230 spd. People still really haven't gotten to witness the power of Slayer. The 9 piece bonus has some kind of calculation thing happening when hitting decapped heads with hex. When it procs, I can get anywhere from 5m-20m in one hit with the enemy max hp.
I suppose you forgot Gizmak, the ogre champ mythical. He is better than atleast half of your list in hydra.
the only one i find really questionable is harima. She is a great dps especially paired with mikage, but i´m not sure why she made your top 20. Cardial is somewhat borderline, but i can see why he is there. Everyone else i agree with probably. Missing not totally from the list, but should have at least been mentioned imo is mashalled.
Michi is probably in a lot of teams because of lady mikage, he is a shadowkin with a strong A1 😆
Weak hits are the death of Sicia. 4 turn burn with no extra turn is rough.

@isma6049 I just did 1b at hard with 1 yumeko , she not only researched themselves but other champions with similar skills. I use yumeko and nia and work just fine , yumeko reste team and nia reset yumeko and fight goes on that way
My negrigante archer does more damage then my gnut. Crazy. When I pair my ninja with mikage he does over 100mill damage himself. Ninja definitely has a place in hydra even without mikage

You need a tree and that tree is called emic
I build a team with: Trunda, Lydia, Emic, Padric, Ma'shalled (but any good nuker is fine) and do 2.8 billions on hard. You could do good stuff with Trundra even without double yumeko...for sure double Yumeko is something absurd
Yeah it's really tough. I have been playing around with it but have only one yumeko and unfortunately I can't get the timing right because she gets devoured or takes too long to kill the heads and doesn't have her abilities back to hit the decapitated heads and weak hitting on force affinity and poison cloud etc. etc.
@@jasonsaulters6027 I use 1 yumeko with nia and emic , emic taunted prevent trundra to be devoured and yumeko reset team for the second cycle of skill, them nia reset yumeko , that way she will have her reset in 2 turns , making emic taunt perma , so everyone goes a3, a2 , a3, forever if nothing wrong happens, rest of team is mikage and Lydia for busters the dmg , arbiter can replace mikage if u don't have her yet
