I enjoy seeing the deck played while you learn it. More informative than just seeing it played well from the start, since if you knew what you were doing you wouldn't be tempted by the wrong lines that I'm tempted by.
While standard isn't as much my jam, I just wanted to shout out my appreciation for you trying to change things up during this lull between decent sets! With Duskmourne back on Arena for the moment, I'd love to see a vid or two of that - I know Quick Draft isn't the same, but still might make for a bit of fun to revisit that set for a spot!
Hey Paul, answering your question about what kinds of content we'd like to see- I think the games are more interesting to watch in draft because of the higher variance and cool brews and outplays. But I love seeing a high skill player like you walking us through deck tech and then also learning the deck and making mistakes while playing. Great vid
I've only started playing magic in the last 2 months, this channel is definitely a daily watch. You have so much knowledge and If you start covering standard too it's like the best, draft is definitely a lot of fun, but standard is more approachable in mtg arena due to resources to spend to draft. Love your personality and way of speaking as well!
Thank you for great limited content. I do prefer limited over constructed and play mainly on MtGA. I have greatly enjoyed your pioneer draft videos. I found you, because of Marshall's plugin on pro tour coverage. So a shout out to him. If I'd be able, I'd join your Patreon. Thank you Mr. Cheon.
Well done. It was nice to see a standard video by you. I’d be curious to see you display the other top two or three decks in the meta as deck lists, just to hear your commentary. My two cents
I'm not sure I'm the correct person to do a deep metagame dive as I don't play standard often enough. I just know what the "good" decks are and I also wanted to showcase the newer decks from SCG Con last weekend.
This deck should be right up your alley Paul, having a ton of what people thought was “draft chaff” lol. Also obligatory comment on how much I like these Bo3 standard videos.
I’ve been running this deck too. It’s almost like no one knows how to play against it because it’s not esper bounce and it’s not the usual dimir midrange deck. I love it.
Would love to see you play the Selesnya Token deck (that I know as Selesnya Cage) you mentioned as well! It's the only one in the current meta I'm missing the wild cards for on arena 😅 As a random thought/suggestion, something I feel is missing on YT is some kind of review/guide of pro-level play. There's some videos of this kind, but they feel mostly like for beginners, and apart from that it feels like you just have to watch people play and learn that way. But even players at your level will often admit that there's people way better than them, like how Jim Davis always brings up Reid Duke and you maybe LSV. As a commentator and former pro, maybe you'd be able to say more about that than "better decision-making" or something relatively abstract. Watching you do commentary on pro events in that style - which feels a bit different than you actually casting - would be rather special from what I see on YT and if you're thinking about new content. If it brings in enough views is another thing of course, but you'd certainly have mine.
Will the standard content continue throughout the year or is it just filler before the new set? I think a sprinkle of standard content could be very spicy =D
I'm just mixing things up as we have a bit of a lull this month. My content will likely be primarily focused on limited but I might dabble in constructed particularly after major tournaments.
30:18 Paul says he should have killed the Enduring Curiosity during the upkeep. I don't see what the difference is, am I missing something? Its not like the card becomes an enchantment at the end step or anything. Anyway, this deck looks sweet. I think I will build it.
This is a very strange dimir list. There’s no mastermind, no coubterspells main deck. It keeps the strongest play patterns of a standard dimir mid range shell while also getting the powerful disruptive and aggressive elements of the esper enchantments. It’s a pretty unique list overall.
@@franciscoalonso108 I dont know why you are acting like a 7 yo edge lord but it is the absolutely classic dimir creature focus that I phase on the latter every day except tsa.
@@ethangilworth7891 they replaced tsa and the fairy by a little bit more value. Apart from that it is the usual dimir I fight every day with my sultai list.
Hopeless Nightmare, Stormcatchers Talent, Fear of isolation and This Town Ain't Big Enough are not common cards in a Dimir deck, so your comment is simply not true. Besides that, the passive aggressive phrasing you used was unnecessary

Appreciate that!
I love standard atm and love seeing you explore it! Midrange decks and aggro combo decks with lots of variety!
Glad you enjoy it!
You've been killing it, Paul! Really stoked to see you playing standard and will be trying all the decks that you play 👍🏽
Thanks! It's been a ton of fun!

+1
Enjoying the heck out of these videos!

Loving the standard content. Keep it up, Paul.
Thanks, will do!
Seeing a great player work out a new deck makes me feel a lot better about my brewing punts.

Glad you’ve been enjoying the content regardless of format!
I love your standard decks.
TY!

Whoa, makes me want to play this one. Very neat.
Dimir, oh yes!!!!!!!! Love the content, thank you.
My pleasure!

I like seeing bo3. Most magic creators I follow somehow end up in Bo1, and I can't just keep finding new ones.

deck felt great!

Tokens might be next up ;)
I'm loving these bo3 standard! It's a great way to understand better the meta
It's been a ton of fun!
Big fan of the new standard content, especially the BO3.
Graham was right about Dig Through Time.
Nice paul!
Thanks!
Very interesting! Surprised by the mana base!
I just copy pasted!
@ makes sense! Seems like it could use some tweaks imo. Great video!
Loving the standard videos. May I humbly request: let's see some rabbits!
Rabbits is a deck?!?
I would love to see Explorer
Niceee thanks 🙏🏽🙏🏽
You’re welcome 😊

@16:30 LOLLOLLOL used the map to bin the kill spell... then opponent hard casts atraxa LOLLOL
Mistakes were made
🙂
Dude in this standard this is just your everyday dimir deck. Only special thing is the lack of tsa
Your comment is wrong in every sense of the word wrong
