I remember I was walking out of some biulding (I’m not sure which) in the marvel section in ioa and spider man comes running around the corner towards a in progress meet and greet like IM HERE acting like he was late. Best acting ever
I’m going to all of the parks at universal in a few months for a senior trip for high school and I’m so excited about it!
Universal is the only theme park destination that can give Disney real competition. They're not quite there yet. They don't have the beloved classic rides that Disney does, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Space Mountain, but Universal is a rising star and they're aggressively expanding
I would have to disagree. I believe Universal are not afraid to cut the classics to try to introduce something new and exciting. Disney only added Galaxy's Edge and Avatar as a response to the popularity of Harry Potter. I see the need for Disney to keep the classics, but I am much more excited about Universal's future projects at the moment.
@@themepark101 Harry Potter is a "beloved" movie franchise (I don't care for them) but I acknowledge that a lot of people do. However, when it comes to Harry Potter based rides, they have no history yet. You don't have fond memories of riding them with your parents 40 years ago (as with Pirates) and I'd bet far more people know about the Disney Haunted Mansion than know about "Escape From Gringott's".
Disney parks are successful largely because of the emotional attachment. Velocicoaster seems like a very fun ride, but it's too new to illicit any long term wide spread loyalty yet. Having said this, I too am looking forward to Universal's expansion projects.
I personally don't care for Galaxy's Edge. Rise of the Resistance looks fun to ride. but I went there before it was opened and, MEH, to the rest of that land.
Disney is very dated now in parts
I no longer go to Disney Parks or support ABC because of their “wokeness”! Can you tell me whether Universal has gone “Woke” as well? If so I will no longer support them as well!
@@jessepitre7095 there’s a lesbian couple on the secret life of pets ride over at universal. Most companies by your definition are indeed “woke” now (including Warner bros), i don’t see it as such a big deal, however you can choose not to support universal as well if you don’t want to.

The hogwarts express facade isn't designed to look like Kings Cross it's designed to look like St pancres we're they shot the movies
I didn't really want to go to both parks. So I am trying to see which park would be best for teens 14-17? They are not that into Harry Potter (if that makes a hug difference), but maybe they'll still enjoy it? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
I would definitely choose Islands of Adventure. More thrill rides and better variety of attractions overall. Hope you have a great day.

The two parks are both quite small. If you're able to afford it, I do recommend doing the both park option ticket. You'll be able to ride all the adult rides you have interest in, and skip out the kid rides they wouldn't care about. It's $109 (without tax) for one park admission and $164 for the park to park admission.

Universal Studios Florida has just closed their main kids land, so I would definitely visit Islands of Adventure.
Honestly I like universal more than Disney but only because lines are shorter I live for Harry Potter and Jurassic park and I’m more of a daredevil

Disney and universal get far to much love, some good rides yes but the parks are just filled with shops and restaurants. Pleasure beach in Blackpool has plenty of rides with little distractions and the icon could easily give any ride in these parks a run. Personally found the hulk to be to overhyped for my liking, was just a bog standard coaster and galaxy's edge was mid at best. I did love the avatar and Harry Potter rides tho.
The saddest part of visiting the park as a normal ticket holder, the wait time for the popular rides was 50+ minutes because there were way too many express pass holders. No offense to their money but if the park wanna give benefits to them, then should arrange for extra ride cars for them. Also because of the express pass holders, our free locker for 30 min ran to 50, so we had to pay $3 for each lockers. So from 9am-7pm, we managed only 9 rides in both universal studio+island of adventure, not because we spent times in taking bathroom breaks or food ones, just because we spent time standing in lines when express pass ppl kept getting ahead 🤦
Express riders have gotten silly I don't recall there being so many just swamping the lines when I visited earlier in the year this is also the case in disney with express line riders swamped the Hollywood tower of terror and shut it down for like 20 mins 🤣

Is their a way to avoid Harry Potter island or whatever? I think it’s a waste of space. Jaws got taken down so that could go up. A CLASSIC got taken down for that junk
It’s a closed land in USF, so if you want skip Diagon Alley, you can. For Hogsmeade in IOA, you’ll have to run through with your eyes closed to get to Jurassic Park.
how many days do you need?
I would suggest at least 2 days to fully do both parks, but could be done in one day if you skip a few attractions.
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS THEME PARK IS GOOD BUT I CANNOT STAND THE SIMPSONS IF I WENT THERE I WOULD COMPLEATELY SKIP THIS AREA

Both universal and Disney seem to rely heavily on indoor “ dark rides,” which are combos of 3 d film and moving cars. Sounds dull as dry toast.

I always prefer Universal Studios over Disney. Disney wouldn't let people in during the pandemic Universal Studios didn't care, they let people in as soon as arrived.

Good Video Thanks....but I must comment: They really need to make new content. Fast n The Furious is so watered out. Jimmy Fallon? Really? Not everyone followed Harry potter and read all the books. The Mummy came out in 1999 and MIB was released in 1997, so the young generation won't even understand this. Despicable Me ok that's good for the kids. Jurassic rides ok. This park seems mostly for younger kids, so if you have kids its worth the trip not for couples or newlyweds. Point: They need to create new content and ideas.
