Reupload because in the original video I used some "royalty free" creepy music. Turns out it wasn't royalty free so I got a copyright claim. No big deal, I figured I'd use TH-cam's built in editor to remove the part with the copywritten music. That edit then broke the end of the video so it just wouldn't play the last 6 or 7 minutes. Very fun experience. My apologies for any inconvenience.

When my brother and I played this as kids, we'd jump in and out of the hole outside and crack up laughing as the guys kept going "HE'S IN THE HOLE" "HE'S OUTTA THE HOLE".
I find immense joy watching PS2 games being played.

I kind of wish that you could play as "low polly pierce brosnan" in every game.
Imagine playing Oblivion and every character model is low polly pierce brosnan, literally perfect game.
I hate that underwater mission so much, I usually just use cheats and skip it

I got second hand gamer rage from watching this section lol, actually reminds me of when i was younger and i would lose my mind at hard sections in games, like that last boss in Crysis, fuck that boss.
When I was a kid I thought I was losing my mind looking for those damn snipers every two seconds intruder spotted but valuable tool teaching you how to be properly sneaky one of the best 007 games period it's criminal this and goldeneye haven't been remastered
Shooting a guy, being spotted, and instantly grabbing the smg with 0 regard for stealth is pretty much the James bond I remember. It always starts with 2 min of stealth lol
The underwater mine level is literally where I stop my playthroughs every time when I revisit Nightfire if I'm not using an emulator with save states. Love everything else about the game EXCEPT for that part, that level can go to hell for not including normal save points
Also watching this, it's extremely funny how Q is shitting on James Bond for trashing his vehicle as he's left drowing in an Aston Martin in a fucking cave lol
to me Countdown is the worst offender, seriously I always die in this level 😫
@@ButtProsecutor Little life jack for this level, go into 1st person view with the car to go through the mine fields.
In first person, you get to see really clearly all the mines close to the front of the car, and upwards. When the head of the car goes through, the rest follows nice and easy.
"... you better keep your distance James, those mines look-"
It's not that the Japanese enemies can't say anything other than "oy", they're just really big AC/DC fans.
P.S. _Irish Man Cry_ is my favourite character action game series.
P.P.S. That Ratchet-scream at 16:10 was some gold-tier editing! Hope you'll play the R&C games at some point too, they were half my childhood!
After N64 Golden Eye, "Agent under fire" is my personal favorite Bond game. This was because the split screen pvp was so fun. The hook shot, ability to adjust speed, and all that kind of stuff was just so good.
Town with grappel, low gravity, and snipers ate up hundreds of my, my friends, and my brother's time. Good old days of couch gaming. I adore AUF.
I'm playing Agent Under Fire now. My goal is to get Platinum on all the levels to make Multiplayer so good
N64 TWINE is really good as well if you have access to an N64 (emulation is really spotty, and the controls are next to impossible to make work with a modern controller)

@@pyrolick2 Yep!! I still have it on my PS2. You have to change to control scheme to get it to play like modern games/ be able to snipe while grappled int the air ;)
Don't remember much of the story mode , just going to my friends house in the late 90s / early 2000s and all crowding around the PS2 and playing the multiplayer, on the skyrail map one of us would be at the castle with the sentinel guided rocket thing and the other would be at the hotel thing at the other side of the map trying to snipe them. Also grappling hook and oddjobs hat.
How could you play a game(that came out in 2002) in the late 90's?🤷

"Oirish Man Get's Angry At Old Video Games" is a genre I didn't know that I wanted.
The moment I saw you go up against the last sub head-to-head, I was like "NO, YOU GOTTA STAY BEHIND THE SUB AND USE GUIDED TORPEDOES!"
They really needed checkpoints in that water level, would have improved the game a whole point. And maybe some on foot sections on the island surface (But not the long, boring on foot section in the shitty gearbox port)

If you're interested the Japanese civilians are saying things like "don't kill me" and "don't hurt me". As you'd expect.
The sniper-level makes me long for a Metal Gear Solid 2-video. There's a funky PC-version of it with some cool extra modes. Would something like that be on the table anytime? :-)
This is such a nostalgia trip. Also the Harry Potter Wizards card sensor is hysterical.

I actually found the game guide for nightfire at my local 2nd hand shop and i would love to try playing through it using the guide. I loved this game as a kid and we would paly it so much. I dont think any of us could beat the campaign because of how hard it was to us back then.
That elevator sequence reminded me of the Mass Fusion mission for Fallout 4 lmao
My favorite bond games are Everything or Nothing and From Russia With Love. I'm more partial to the third person, an espically in From Russia With Love where you can play Dress Up with Sean Connery.

@@MickyDlove this game but its very stressful to say least some mission for me personaly were pain to get through like chain reaction and underwater level second mission but after that its okay
When I first played that Sniper level, it was absolutely brutal. Took me forever to complete it because it really feels like the enemies have aimbot on. Just one tiny hair outside of cover and the ENTIRE enemy regiment sees you.

Descent was playtested by one guy, who lucked his way through it without failing once. The devs said "good enough" and never touched the level again.

I do not remember having this much trouble with the submarine level. I thought the mines were on, like, patrol loops, and you can go as slow as you like so long as you avoid their paths. It's also possible young-me just memorized the right way to go through cuz I played that game a zillion times XD

Those guys tossing the C4 onto the elevator are in so much trouble. Drake might have let them get away with it had they been successful in stopping Bond. But now he got away AND Drake has to take the stairs from the 80th floor to leave the building? I suspect they'll be taking a one-way down the elevator shaft.

Man, trying to beat Phoenix Fire on 00 Agent to get the last Pistol upgrade was horrible. Never would have managed it if the game didn't let you blow out the glass windows to the control center with explosives.
I love this playthrough, it's the most frantic thing I've ever seen

Man, this game is such a throwback for me, used to play the multiplayer for hours with my cousins. Looking back the single player is really short lol, but it didn't seem like that at all when I was like 9 or whatever.

As much as Deep Descent used a cool gimmick of an underwater car, it was easily the most stressful mission of 007 Nightfire. Very unforgiving with zero checkpoints if you die.
All the pain is worth it for that silent jog at 46:52

If I remember right, that underwater level became so much easier with the mines when you put the car in first person view during that section.

So I got bored and decided to check it.
Going from Tokyo to Kochi, the biggest city in the south of Shikoku, is about 800 kilometers.
That's the same distance as driving by car from London to Galway, which is located directly West of Dublin but on the other side of the island.
Point being MI6 are dumb with distances.
For my more EU contnental readers; Paris to Bremen is about the same distance.
And in America;
New York - Cleveland, Ohio.
Kansas City - Dallas.
Sacremento - San Diego
Some examples of the same general distance that these people say are close to eachother.

It seems like the dolphin emulator does this game more justice. I never had these issues with performance there.
