I agree with Hellfire. Frollo's such a complex character and his song is likewise complex. I would have included 'Gaston' as well. With the opening of Frozen, I'd put 'Love is an Open Door' in the bottom half as well, being as it is the only love song in the whole Disney Villain repertoire.

That entire movie is pretty dark. I kinda feel that is why it didn't do as well as some of the other Disney movies, even though it has some of the most beautiful songs. I hated that movie as a child because it scared me, and now it is one of my favorites.

And 'Hellfire', especially, gave me shivers. You don't come across lyrics with such dark and deep meaning much anymore. "It's not my fault if in God's plan he made the devil so much stronger than a man." "Let her taste the fires of hell, or else let her be mine and mine alone." Characters like Frollo give such an eerie and accurate depiction of humanity and our fatal flaws. Frollo and Hellfire are both brilliant and terrifying. I can understand why it's the #1 on almost everyone's "Top Villain Songs" lists, including mine now.

While I absolutely adore both the original and the reprise of the song, they should of picked the main song, not the reprise, even if the reprise was under totally different circumstances and a different mood. There are plenty of other contenders that could have taken one of those spots. Even though it wasn't featured in the final song, Yzma's song "Snuff Out the Light" would have been a good choice.

In relation to Hellfire, though, I think you could have made a better effect using the clip of it that shows the sudden row of robed figures on either side of Frollo, the one that starts with the line "It's not my fault". THAT part always sends shivers down my spine!

It's just so dramatic and just epic, plus, I do like horror, so that might be part of the reason why I like it so much, because it is pretty creepy, and Be Prepared is a close second.

In the Dark of the Night, sung by Rasputin from Anastasia is a fox animated musical. Does anyone think it's awful how they created a MUSICAL out of something that was really so terrible? The Romanovs were captured and imprisoned and then killed. I get that there's a fantasy about a lost princess and all but PLEASE! It's like someone making a musical about 9/11 for god's sake!

That's what the "she will burn" means though. Frollo is saying that either Esmeralda will belong to him, or she will literally burn at the stake (be killed by him).

In relation to Hellfire, though, I think you could have made a better effect using the clip of it that shows the sudden row of robed figures on either side of Frollo, the one that starts with the line "It's not my fault". THAT part always sends shivers down my spine!

Hellfire was a good number one. I LOVE Mother Gothel's songs. I think they're so good because she acts loving and affectionate when she's such an evil bitch
if you listen to it instrumentally it sounds like a good guys song and basically fake comfort with makes you want to see her as an enemy more

Ursula used to scare me as a kid xD but yeah... I agree with #1, Hellfire is my favorite Disney villain song as well. It's just so dramatic and just epic, plus, I do like horror, so that might be part of the reason why I like it so much, because it is pretty creepy, and Be Prepared is a close second.

I knew it! I knew Be Prepared was going to be #2 and Hellfire #1. it was obvious that those two were the most chilling and badass of all Disney movies, well In the Dark of the Night deserved some credit too.

In the Dark of the Night, sung by Rasputin from Anastasia is a fox animated musical. Does anyone think it's awful how they created a MUSICAL out of something that was really so terrible? The Romanovs were captured and imprisoned and then killed. I get that there's a fantasy about a lost princess and all but PLEASE! It's like someone making a musical about 9/11 for god's sake!
honestly...i think the song would have a much better meaning if they instead of ending it with "god have mercy on her..god have mercy on me..but she will be mine or she will burn" instead, in my opinion it would have been better ended with "god have mercy on her..god have mercy on me..but she will be mine or she'll be yours" like he planned on killing her if she refused..just a opinion

I think it said that she will burn instead of she'll be yours was because in that movie, all the gypsies were unholy and were going to hell? And he attempted to burn her at the stake.
That's what the "she will burn" means though. Frollo is saying that either Esmeralda will belong to him, or she will literally burn at the stake (be killed by him).
