Challenge that I LOVE: Each room is a different room. You build a house with a floorplan, then for each room you spin for how you furnish it. The front door might walk into the bathroom, the living room might be stuck in a weirdly shaped bathroom. It's really fun (and bonus points for not requiring a lot of packs so everyone can try it)
4:05 I mean you could have gone with ultra-modern kitchen, using Dine Out and Spa Day (or whatever that other thing was), with potentially stacked fridges (if that's not working - small fridges still could be very cool as that extends your working space and with Dine Out stove you need that. 12:50 You should have checked all categories of the build mode and try debug at least. And spam the columns for maybe like a dancing studio.
When she’s doing the non contemporary part and says “no stairs, no foundation”..ect she sounds like that one spongebob episode when he’s making a salad with Pearl 🤣🤣
I love this! Maybe it could be fun to build a house just using CC? I don't really use CC so it could be fun to have someone showcase some creators' work!
The second kid bedroom is for the oldest child who has been forgotten. All their stuff was given to the younger siblings before they were even done with them. 🤣 💖
Oh boy, that's quite something, that double gallery room is tragic... Could you do a random number of items per room, I believe Vixella did something like that a while ago and I tried it myself, it's all fun and games until you need to fill a bathroom with 20+ items..
This was hilarious. I've already built whole houses years ago with each of the base game styles. The "basics" one is really chaotic, but "cosmolux" is good, as is "french country." Someone put some thought into these for the base game release, but after that it seems the game designers were really sporadic about labeling things.
Challenge idea: each room is inspired by a different sims 4 world BUT you cannot use any items from the corresponding pack. For example you have to create a bedroom with an Island Living vibe (Sulani), but you cannot use the IL pack. Or a kitchen inspired by San Myshuno without using the City Living pack.
Simsie : ''ooooh leaves wallpaper! when else can we use the leaves wallpaper??'' me, using the leaves wallpaper is virtually every single one of my builds : *sad*

I would love to see a house build where every room is based on another holiday. I also tried that and it was awful in the best possible way, if you know what I mean xD (A chinese New Years inspired outside simply does not look good with rooms like a christmas living room, a thanksgiving kitchen and dining room, a el día de los muertos bedroom, a easter kids room and all the other crazy rooms I didn't mention on the inside)
Oh my "Mid Century" without floors but rugs - I guess my choice would have been awful or "quite interesting" with covering that non floor with all the rugs fitting in. 🙈😂❣️ And the last one for the outdoors I would have taken that double bed on the terrace, kinda below stars as you had to use the sunbaths inside. 😅💖
Hey Kayla, I get real bad and anxiety and watching your videos chills me out so much. You always make me laugh a d I genuinely just love watching you play sims, thanks 😊
I kind of like the floorplan of the house and agree it has a lot of potential. I hope you do reno it and turn it into something more cohesive and functional. Great work :)
Speaking as someone who grew up with family in the interior design field, I think that double gallery might be a cool style to build a sort of show room in the sims. There probably isn’t the proper gameplay for that to be a functional idea, but it could look cool, and true to our world.
Next Wheel Challenge: Whole house where every build element is a different style (e.g., all comfort items are boho, all plumbing is ...island...). BUT maybe first research which items are simply absent and have a new wheel for each to remove each "used" style and the "not applicable" styles first , LOL. I learned a lot in this vid, thanks!
Renovation idea: I was just thinking if you swapped out some rooms and room styles, (Remake the Exterior with Patio furniture, Hallway with Double gallery, Parents Room with Suburban Contemporary) it could actually work. For added challenge you can even make it a rule to reuse everything you have from this build and just add stuff. Idk haha. Great video as always, Kayla! Greetings from the Philippines 😄
Not related to the video, but I'm having a hard time deciding what my next sims pack should be. I'm thinking parenthood or dream home decorator or laundry day. To you have any suggestions? It can be something else then the three packs I named.
I love to see a build where you spin and have to build a room with that type of furniture without having a floor plan. You keep going until you have one of every room (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, etc)
The parents bedroom unlocked this memory of a kids home decorating show I used to watch where the parents would leave for a week, and the kids would redecorate like, a room or two of their house and it was... interesting. The main one I remember is the parents bedroom got turned into this like... hamster cage aesthetic. So the floor was wood chips (or just looked like it) and the walls were painted like the kids looking in through a cage. Having a patio bedroom feels like something kids on this random mid 2000's british tv show would do.
I would have allowed myself base game items but ONLY to make the room functional if the style I ended up with didn't give me anything. So like a bed, desk, and dresser in the double gallery style room, for example. Loved this challenge though! It's a really good way to familiarise yourself with the different styles!
I loved that she created a house with several rooms, to give it more chance to look strange lol. I think my challenge houses are better that my "normal" houses idk why :'c
Finally Lilsimsie is bringing the tagging/cataloguing problems up. I've been complaining about it for years now and it's only getting worse as they add more packs.
Story idea: The parents weren't great people, one because they favoured their youngest and two because they got drunk alot. One night they had been drinking and were heavily drunk. They sold all the kids stuff and went on a crazy shopping spree. So the oldest has no room and sleeps on the couch, and the youngest had a room. The parents were in debt from their shopping and couldn't buy a bed. Edit: The other bedroom had mould and couldn't be slept in
