I hope she ended up getting a service dog. They can sense seizures before they even start, and hopefully alert her to put the baby down in time. But I know this was several years ago. Hope they’re both doing okay! Bless that woman for being aware and taking action.
I'm autistic and I can feel that too (weird 🤔) My father and my ex-boss were having seizures sometimes and I could always predict them 10 min before it happens. I feel the flow of energy of humans, so I can tell when they're sad, happy, mad, sick even if they try to hide it. I hate that "power" so much. It's like a weird vibration that surounds people I can feel it through my skin.
Yeah, definitely the right person helping her at the right time. I'm not sure I would have caught that and I'd be too shy/respectful to even touch someone else's baby unless I actually saw them collapsing, but by then, it might already be too late.
Hi, My best friend had epilepsy, and she told me that she's not permitted to have a driver's license, at least not in the state of Florida. She never did learn drive either, just too risky. May she rest in peace. ✌️🖖 😷

Imagine you have the worst food poisoning imaginable and you're stopping yourself from throwing up, just with sheer willpower. Everyone's seizures effect them differently though, since it is a neurological disorder, but most of the time me and anyone else I've spoken to with seizures is able to feel it coming on and hold it back for as long as we can. The look in that woman's eyes is very similar to one of my friends and the way people have described how I look before I seize.

For me, it's not necessarily that it hurts, but a sense of panic and loss of control over my movements and body. Once the seizure takes over, I black out and become unconscious. But again, it depends on the person how a seizure might effect them. My dad actually starts hearing loud music in his head before it happens!

You are a hero everyone in your family should be very proud. My wife has fallen from a seizures and if that baby wasn't saved by you that baby would have been hurt by know one's fault. Just lucky it didn't happen in the car afterwords. This made me cry because that probably ment so much that you were there for that young mom. The fact that that mother held on for so long to not drop that baby is incredible. The love you have for your child will never compare. Everything else just pales in comparison
The pain in my spine after giving birth made me black out while I was changing my daughter a newborn at the time on a high-up table. My mother's driver kicked in and I was able to snap out of it and I yelled for my bf to help, before I collapsed to the ground in agony and pain. I had a herniated disc in my spine for a few months after giving birth.
@Jam There is a lot of that, especially in the rich touristy areas. Self-centeredness is a culture. But out in the nameless towns across America, you’d find people love each other and are more familiar with each other. I saw a huge act of kindness today and a lot of sweetheart, fun exchanges. I wish we didn’t have that ego culture in our music and all that, it makes me want to puke. It’s like a big five year old stomping around “Meeee, meee meee! 🎶 “

I have a friend in school who have epilepsy too and one time we was in school kitchen and making food and he got a episode and fall down.. he was so close hitting a table or something else but lucky enough that didn’t happened and he got help with his episode and got better up of the day

I’m epileptic. I can’t speak for everyone, but at the beginning of my seizures, it’s sort of like your brain is fighting itself. I can usually fight to stay semi-conscious until I know I’m okay to seize fully. Such a weird phenomenon. Not sure how long that semi-conscious phase can last though
@@emilyrenewithlove I'm epileptic as well, and my seizures have lasted up to 10 minutes if I remember correctly. That's twice as long as a doctor recommends to wait before calling Emergency Responders.
I've seen a talent show where a candidate hypnotized audience/invited celebrities.. but he failed to hypnotized the host. He said it's because the host had unconscious mindset that he is responsible for the show (and he can't be slacking off) so his brain actually fought the hypnotizing. I think it's similar here where the mom tried to stay conscious for the baby.

Recall this similar thing happening at airport on escalator, older woman no baby, passed out fell back on metal escalator..I could have caught her I saw it happening but I froze..20 years later I still feel bad about that. Not everyone would do same, can't know till your in that situation with seconds to react...

@julian mitchell im not sure weither they are seazures but ive passed out like this loads of times aswel, and the first 5 or 10 times or so it caught me of guard and I collapsed in the streets, but afterwards ive learned how to still function slightly or at least keep some concientsious while it happens, unless if its a really bad case and im already numb and blind before I feel it happening.
I have a seizures and it's true during those kinds we can't control ourselves and so many times I've had them I was crying tears and in pain and it's odd I could kinda hear people still but couldn't speak or control myself and it hurt very bad I what'd to cry for my mom. Being 27yo I've had seizures sense I was 2nd grade and the granma seizures are the worst ones causing memory loss and pain and more and the fear.

By the time I reached 5th grade everything was fine but when they performed surgery a spot formed on the brain and that one spot has led to seizure suffering from 6th class to 12th class.
People that have seizures can feel an attack coming, usually they can keep the seizure "under control" until they are in a "safe" position. I experienced this first hand with my dentist while he was cleaning a cavity in my mouth, he stopped suddenly, he got away from me and let the drill fall down, he turned around using his chair and tryed to hold himself up bracing his desk, I had to jump out of the dentist chair and grab his shoulder to help him.
You can feel it coming on sometimes you can even stop it from happening all together. Most the time you can't so it's best to get somewhere safe or in this case get her baby somewhere safe.
@Pragya_Kovers it’s sort of a fit, it often involves shaking or convulsing (in serious cases) and sometimes passing out or falling. there can also be minor ones where they don’t pass out or convulse or fall. it happens when there is uncontrolled electrical activity between brain cells. however no two seizures are alike, so my examples might not fit all of them.
I think it’s just common sense though? The worker said she had this glazed look on her face and by the way she leaned back you can obviously tell something is wrong.
@@alarin612 ohh I would have probably panicked, I don't know, I watched my daughter's friend climb a tree and his leg was impaled by a broken off branch. I had to physically lift him off the branch and made a turnicate, and put a towel and my hand in the wound. I don't know how I did all that and have no memory of it... When my daughter would get I hurt and bleed I would literally run out of the house screaming... I lose it but that one time I don't know, I guess adrenaline.

I love how quick she noticed something was wrong. I dont personally have a seizure disorder but ive been told by people that do. The main sign someone is about to have a seizure is the glazed over eyes and expression. In my friends words "Its like my consciousness leaves my body and im staring at my body from above me, with no control of my body." This woman handled this beautifully and quickly. ❤
There’s a lot of different types of epilepsy so not everyone gets glazed over eyes. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 25 because no one recognized the signs and even I never thought of it because I assumed anyone with epilepsy flops around. My seizures happened in my sleep and would only last a couple seconds when I was awake. Some people you just can’t tell, it totally depends on the type of epilepsy.

@@cryoliteUltrakill if they're the same kind I get they're not exactly dangerous, just unpleasant. It can be scary because you can't control your body. My head was in a really awkward position one time but I couldn't move it so just had to wait it out. Even if it was dangerous theres nothing anyone would be able to do. Not pleasant but it's safer considering your already lying down so you can't harm yourself by banging your head.

I once passed out in public and a woman caught me before I fell. She told me she was a mother and she reacted instantly because she saw that I was looking very pale and that I reminded her of her son. Props to women.
Well, I fainted in the middle of a group of colleagues and it was one of my male colleagues who grabbed me, not the woman... I think it really comes to how you feel yourself in a society. My colleague was the one I was specifically visiting so maybe his fatherly instincts were close by. Same goes for women who are mothers 😃also, interesting fact, if you shout for help you are less likely to be helped than if you directly say "mister/miss, please, help me!" toward someone

That may not be true. As an epileptic, apparently after going unconscious I momentarily freeze standing up with my eyes open, that's how my friends and family know I'm about to collapse and start seizing. The fact she didn't respond when the woman asked her if she was ok etc, I imagine she probably suffers with the same type of epilepsy as myself. Very glad the clerk was smart enough to take the baby off her

Most of the people with epilepsy can't drive the car. If they haven't had a seizure for a long time (in my country about 1 year) they can.
She probably doesnt drive. Its illegal to drive unless you have been seizure free for 6 months to a year depending on where you live.
She was being strong and trying to stay alert until the woman took her baby and then her body finally gave in as soon as the baby was safe.

She was unconscious before she even fell. Seizures have stages, and as soon as the clerk noticed something wromg, she was already in it.

My wife has seizures and it so scary. Thanks for be there. That could have be so much worse. You are a true hero. So many people video what's happening instead of jumping in to help. You are a hero everyone in your family should be very proud. My wife has fallen from a seizures and if that baby wasn't saved by you that baby would have been hurt by know one's fault. Just lucky it didn't happen in the car afterwords. This made me cry because that probably ment so much that you were there for that young mom. Awesome job you should get an award because there's a lot of people that wouldn't of done that nowadays. Super women. I hope you get something special in your lif you deserve it.

The pain in my spine after giving birth made me black out while I was changing my daughter a newborn at the time on a high-up table. My mother's driver kicked in and I was able to snap out of it and I yelled for my bf to help, before I collapsed to the ground in agony and pain. I had a herniated disc in my spine for a few months after giving birth.

But out in the nameless towns across America, you’d find people love each other and are more familiar with each other. I saw a huge act of kindness today and a lot of sweetheart, fun exchanges. So did I😩 it was terrible.. luckily my medication stopped my seizures after taking it for so long. I stopped taking my meds in 2014… I’d be so scared if I still had seizures and had a child, like I wouldn’t be able to cope if my child got hurt if I had a seizure

This woman held it together and didn’t judge while the young mom tried to resist the seizure knowing her small baby could get hurt. I’m epileptic. I can’t speak for everyone, but at the beginning of my seizures, it’s sort of like your brain is fighting itself. I can usually fight to stay semi-conscious until I know I’m okay to seize fully. Such a weird phenomenon. Not sure how long that semi-conscious phase can last though
@@emilyrenewithlove I'm epileptic as well, and my seizures have lasted up to 10 minutes if I remember correctly. That's twice as long as a doctor recommends to wait before calling Emergency Responders.
I've seen a talent show where a candidate hypnotized audience/invited celebrities.. but he failed to hypnotized the host.
He said it's because the host had unconscious mindset that he is responsible for the show (and he can't be slacking off) so his brain actually fought the hypnotizing.
I think it's similar here where the mom tried to stay conscious for the baby.
It wasn't a seizure, but I fought passing out till someone was holding my baby once. It was all I could do, but it was totally instinctual.

@julian mitchell im not sure weither they are seazures but ive passed out like this loads of times aswel, and the first 5 or 10 times or so it caught me of guard and I collapsed in the streets, but afterwards ive learned how to still function slightly or at least keep some concientsious while it happens, unless if its a really bad case and im already numb and blind before I feel it happening.

I have a seizures and it's true during those kinds we can't control ourselves and so many times I've had them I was crying tears and in pain and it's odd I could kinda hear people still but couldn't speak or control myself and it hurt very bad I what'd to cry for my mom. Being 27yo I've had seizures sense I was 2nd grade and the granma seizures are the worst ones causing memory loss and pain and more and the fear.

People that have seizures can feel an attack coming, usually they can keep the seizure "under control" until they are in a "safe" position. I experienced this first hand with my dentist while he was cleaning a cavity in my mouth, he stopped suddenly, he got away from me and let the drill fall down, he turned around using his chair and tryed to hold himself up bracing his desk, I had to jump out of the dentist chair and grab his shoulder to help him.
You can feel it coming on sometimes you can even stop it from happening all together. Most the time you can't so it's best to get somewhere safe or in this case get her baby somewhere safe.

I had to physically lift him off the branch and made a turnicate, and put a towel and my hand in the wound. I don't know how I did all that and have no memory of it... When my daughter would get I hurt and bleed I would literally run out of the house screaming... I lose it but that one time I don't know, I guess adrenaline.

I love how quick she noticed something was wrong. I dont personally have a seizure disorder but ive been told by people that do. The main sign someone is about to have a seizure is the glazed over eyes and expression. In my friends words "Its like my consciousness leaves my body and im staring at my body from above me, with no control of my body."

There’s a lot of different types of epilepsy so not everyone gets glazed over eyes. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 25 because no one recognized the signs and even I never thought of it because I assumed anyone with epilepsy flops around. My seizures happened in my sleep and would only last a couple seconds when I was awake. Some people you just can’t tell, it totally depends on the type of epilepsy.
@@megmc80 I'm your sleep? Im no expert on seizures but that seems very dangerous, what happens when you get those? Does your family/ significant other/ roomates save you or do you have another way?
@@cryoliteUltrakill if they're the same kind I get they're not exactly dangerous, just unpleasant. It can be scary because you can't control your body. My head was in a really awkward position one time but I couldn't move it so just had to wait it out. Even if it was dangerous theres nothing anyone would be able to do. Not pleasant but it's safer considering your already lying down so you can't harm yourself by banging your head.
@@cryoliteUltrakill it is dangerous. People with nocturnal seizures are more prone to SUDEP. Sudden unexpected death from epilepsy. It's a sad reality for us epileptics. 😔

Coming from someone who has seizures I'm proud and happy she held on long enough for her baby to be safe.
I once passed out in public and a woman caught me before I fell. She told me she was a mother and she reacted instantly because she saw that I was looking very pale and that I reminded her of her son. Props to women.
Well, I fainted in the middle of a group of colleagues and it was one of my male colleagues who grabbed me, not the woman... I think it really comes to how you feel yourself in a society. My colleague was the one I was specifically visiting so maybe his fatherly instincts were close by. Same goes for women who are mothers 😃also, interesting fact, if you shout for help you are less likely to be helped than if you directly say "mister/miss, please, help me!" toward someone

I once passed out at work and none of my coworkers attempted to help me because they said I had a smile on my face and thought I was joking around. I worked in a hospital.

That may not be true. As an epileptic, apparently after going unconscious I momentarily freeze standing up with my eyes open, that's how my friends and family know I'm about to collapse and start seizing. The fact she didn't respond when the woman asked her if she was ok etc, I imagine she probably suffers with the same type of epilepsy as myself. Very glad the clerk was smart enough to take the baby off her

not all moms are the same. some are horrible human beings who damage their children in horrific ways.
