You have just inspired me to attack the cabinets under my island in the kitchen. I've decided to start my spring cleaning, and have finished with under my kitchen sink, and laundry room. Will be parting with books in my downstairs two book shelves(going to our local used book store where we get a credit for them) . Slowly loading up the back of my SUV with stuff going to GW. It is liberating getting things decluttered and organized. Thank you once again for the inspiration.

Hey Julie! Great job! Love your buffet! Just a suggestion-write what is in each end cabinet and tape or tack to inside the door! I love your idea about storing your fabric in the picnic basket!🙂

Hi Julie. You did such an amazing job! I've been working on cleaning, decluttering and re-organizing my kitchen for the past few months. It's been slow going because there are three other adults and two kids here (stupid pandemic!) so I have to work around everyone. I've thrown out a lot of expired food, empty boxes and bags, random twist ties and such.You're such an inspiration! It was also great to see Piper. Give her a pet for me and I can't wait until the next video!

I have been decluttering every drawer and closet as I move thru son and dnl’s house cleaning and organizing.

I keep my boxes also but I fold them down I put in a box in the garage so glad spring is here in Calif time to clean and get organized nice job 👍❤️
Julie, my grandma’s buffet which I have is exactly like the one you have carving on the doors everything it has been painted several times but I love it and I will not get rid of it.

I've got to do that with my pantry, and your video gave me inspo to work on it! Thanks! BTW, I also am a box keeper. I have an area of a closet in our spare bedroom that I dedicate to storing them. It's mostly boxes for electronics, TVs, phones, etc., and anything that I worry would break should we have to move. 🙂 Thanks, Julie!

I go around with a bag and clean out my drawers every couple of months. Usually find stuff I've been looking for. I hate finding cords and chargers that I have no idea where they go...take care.

I love the video..great job...I too, keep the original box that cell phones or chargers, etc. in...lol..I try to stay on top of decluttering, but sometimes, I get behind...ugh...but as spring is coming around, I'm a busy bee cleaning out n up, n getting everything tidied up...I wish you would do another home tour of your home..its very beautiful..I love to decorate our home for the seasons...tfs..hope you have a blessed week...

I am decluttering my house as well; oh, it feels so good to have a place for everything we need and get rid of stuff that I didn't even remember existed or we don't need. l got 2 more rooms to go, and I will be done. Btw, i do keep old cellphones as well. Don't ask me why because I don't even know lol

Oh boy can I relate! I've got ear buds, stylus pens and charge cords all over the place. As for the fabric I'm thinking about cutting those into strips to make a wreath. I've got some wreath forms just waiting for me to get it together and get started. I have a problem with my little voice saying "hmm, what if I need it some day?"lol. Oh, Julie, two of my buffet drawers are crammed full of cords of every size and shape. I wouldn't even know what to do with all of that. Good for you for tackling your buffet. I need to do mine too! 😩

I make
Cords as small as possible without damage. Put them in plastic bags and write on the bag what they are.

You & I have the same malady, just in case-itis. When I'm decluttering, I say "what if (this) happens, I might need this". Its hard to let go sometimes, but I'm doing it right now too.
I use empty toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls to put my cords in.

It may be best to put those empty tech boxes in a plastic tote if they are going to be stored in an outside storage shed. A plastic container would give better protection against moisture, bugs and rodents.

Oh yes, we have a drawer full of chargers, and a box full of cables, but I dare not get rid of them because you can bet I will need one when they're gone .

Looks great ! I see a lot and I store my fabric in fabric bins I roll it and put it standing in the bin so I can see at a glance what I have it also helps with creases and wrinkles too ! I am enjoying your channel so much ! Beautiful family!

Oh yes! I find setting timers makes it more fun and then lets you know those daunting other tasks are not so daunting after all if you can do this in an hour what else can I do in hour tomorrow! Best of luck!
Julie….Julie…Julie…. I don’t want to do this ! LOL!!!! Oh my…I am so thankful to know someone else KEEPS BOXES 🤷♀️. Why do we do that ???. LOL!!!! I have boxes that go to things I don’t have anymore ( or did….I have done some decluttering too ) So rewarding ! But I’m old and forget the NEW SPOT I put things in !
I need to do CLOSETS… my “work Skirt Suits “ …. like I’m ever going to be size 8 EVER AGAIN! Plus were am I going to wear them???? 🤦♀️ can a size 12 squeeze into an 8…NO !!! I tried the other day..don’t know if I did it as PUNISHMENT TO MYSELF ….or …. to confirm I have GAIN WEIGHT ??? But I accomplished both thoughts…😢
I’m “technically challenged” so I don’t have electronics …I have a flip phone for me…but my husband has the Apple 12 Phone for his work….he is DEEPLY CHALLENGED with that ! I am his IT Department ….ugh !!! I’m learning out is desperation ….LOL!!!

Marlene peters-help i need you!. No kidding. I am so behind i think I'm ahead. Really because of takin care of my dad for 6 years because of a heart condition and right after that i took care my mother for 15 years because of dementia. Also all my health issues plus my job. All that while divorce an taking care of two girls. Gee this sounds like a soap opera. Anyway my house looks like a rummage sale and no one came to buy anything. Ha ha! There i running my mouth again. I did love love love your decluttering. Also love every video you and your family have.
I had those same issues . I have an adult son with autism and my own health issues what I did to declutter is set aside 30 minutes to declutter one area at a time in no time it made a huge difference! God will bless you for being a caretaker for so many!

Julie some Walmart have a machine where you can place the old cell phones in and the Machine will read it the machine will tell you if it's worth money the machine will pay you for the old cell phone It'll ask you to keep it sell it or donate it to be recycled it'll also take your phone cases and chords to be recycled when you're ready see if there's one in your area
