2x4s or even 2x6s work really well for slats in that steel instead of using a $100 sheet of plywood lol… just an idea for ya if ya want, I have cutdown pallets as they come in so I didn’t have to actually buy any lumber
Out of all the fork lifts I've driven, those little Toyotas are honestly the smoothest to ride and operate. And we abused the crap out of them at my job and they just kept going 😅

Toyota is the best forklifts. Working in a whse for 20+ years we have had several brands come through and I still have my Toyota running. Been 8 years now i think and about 13K hours.

That Toyota forklift is awesome. I used one at my last job off and on for over 4 years. I will say the only thing I didn't like about it, is that when you are turning really tight, the engine shuts off. So you can't make a real tight turn. Other than it's a great forklift.
