I always lifted off the two bolts in the roof of the cab. A spreader bar helps keep the bosses in the cab from bending. Deere made a 3 point lift bracket that was like a forklift, except the tines are vertical and slipped into those slots next to the rear mounts. It could also be used with a big OTC cherry picker. We had one at the dealership, but I never used it because it was always easier to hook to the top of the cab with the overhead hoist.
On that discbine it is probably a bent turtle shell (the disc that holds the blade) I have had many that have had that problem and used to think it was the blade hitting the next shell. It's probably hitting the bar it's self. May be some other problem but I would look at that first, those turtle shells are a lot cheaper than a bar LOL (like you didn't already know that)
I'm with you on the trespassers! They buy an acre, build a house on half, build a pond on the other, then they think they own the whole county! Are the knives one side different from the other, on some there is two different knives, although they look the same, because of the spin!

That Ford tractor I bought off you started almost as easy as that mower you fired up. You are definitely a stand up trustworthy guy.

Mower is a Gravely I believe. Neighbor had one that looked a LOT like it.
That’s a Ferris zero turn. I ran one identical to that years ago for my grandpa. It was a fun mower but I still preferred his diesel grasshopper.
