Spot on that like. Wouldn't mind abit of competition on the rivers. My last bash at a wild brownie tomorrow morning. Heading to our most easterly beat on the river Irthing at Brampton angling association. Very similar river to tees
I have never fished competitively, we have fly fishers mostly from BC who do. I was going to go years back but I got waylaid by other business. I have nothing against competition, I think anytime you can fish with or around others, there is a chance to learn something and to make new friends. There is a Youth Tournament group in British Columbia run by Todd Oishi I think and if I ever get there at the right time I want to volunteer.. Here there is no private water here so you prepare to fish around others from time to time. Great video Lindsay!!
Nice video. Man id love an instructional video/series on wet fly fishing and cover all the different presentations. Its dang near impossible to find a learning source about it on the net. 👍🏻
Beautiful river Lindsay I haven't fished it for 20 plus years but very reminiscent of certain parts of the upper Clyde. What make and model was your rod, reel and line? The action looked good.
Well done Lindsay on your second place. Looks a magic river but could do without the wind. Your modesty paid off! Thanks from down-under in NZ.
Thanks John, it is a very stunning location.
Nice that Lindsay. One of my favourite rivers, great training ground to learn how to wade.
Thanks Terry, carefully is what I would advise....lol.
The Tees tests the best of them! I should know I've fished to for 50 years
You are a lucky man sir!

Great video Lindsay!!
Competition drives the sport forward, no doubt about it and if it encourages kids into fly fishing all the better.

I don't have the rivers to do something like that but next time I am up North I I will give it a go buddy.

Which angler pal, I was not fishing in this video.
The very first angler opening the video , sorry I thought it was you? Big Davie
@@davidfraser4083 No pal that was Del Spry, I think he was using a Greys 9' Streamflex for #3.
Hahaha I had to check twice there as I thought it was you too, you got ready on camera then switched to Del fishing... sneaky!! :)
To say the Tees is tough to wade is an understatement ;)
To be fair there are not many rivers I have come across that are worse, certain parts of the Spey maybe.
Thanks Lindsay, you have a doppleganger. ? Sorry for the confusion but thanks for the advice
Kindest regards, big Davie.
No bother Davie
