    Personally, I'm not surprised at all! Pure cane sugar is 95% sucrose, while honey is about 50% fructose and 30% glucose. For blood sugar levels, they should have similar effects!

      Totally agree :)

      @@shelleymoser5205 that is pure honey

      @@shelleymoser5205 Shelley, the label says it's raw, organic honey. Can honey get any purer than that? If so, give me suggestions where I can get it.

    You look like Arnold Schwarzenegger if he was at Sloan Kettering for 4 years.

      It's interesting, Domenic! Usually, people compare my looks to Dolph Lundgren and my accent to Arnold Schwarzenegger. You're the first person to say I look like Arnie. I'll have to take a closer look at myself :)

      No, you misunderstood by not googling MSK, as it is called. Basically, he said you look like Arnold if he was a cancer paitent for four years. @@PracticalHealthNow

    Would this be as effective or better than glucose for hypoglycemia?

    • @PracticalHealthNow
      @PracticalHealthNow  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's a great question, and I don't have answer to it. My guess is that it all boils down to the amount of glucose or fructose, since they are 2 (out of 3) forms of dietary monosaccharides and basically have the same speed of digestion.

    Can you eat a date or 2 and see how it spikes your blood sugar?

    35 grams of honey seems excessive, does a less amount of honey cause a lower spike ? I wonder…

    • @PracticalHealthNow
      @PracticalHealthNow  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's a good point! In the past, I tested morning tea with honey and lemon, where it was only one 21-gram tablespoon of honey. The spike was 168. Still quite high!

    If you do them together, they might cancel each other out. Worth a try.

    What about artificial sweeteners like splenda?

    • @PracticalHealthNow
      @PracticalHealthNow  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I guess Splenda doesn’t increase blood sugar, but let me add it to my to-test list ☺️
