We forgot to mention it in the episode, but we banned Normal Pendulums and Phantasm Spiral, since we felt like they would be too good and thus against the spirit of this goofy ass challenge.
And you didn't ban Dark Magician, which has a metric shit-ton of support, mainly spells and traps, why exactly?
@@AnonEcho98 Phantasm Spiral is at full power in this challenge, Dark Magician is not. There's tons of videos on TH-cam of people playing Phantasm Spiral, there's probably not a lot of videos where people play Dark Magician without effect monsters.
@@HardlegGaming I mean, while that is true, the support that Dark Magician still has available is strong, especially when it's up against decks full of normal monsters that don't have such a wide amount of support in regards of removal, protection and recursion.
I still enjoyed the video, but....seeing one side just dominate duels by spitting out a DM that was immune to card effects, and banishing stuff every turn did sap the excitement a bit, especially with how easy it was to summon DM.
Now what's your stance on geminis? lmao. Maybe as long as they don't normal summon on the field?
@@AnonEcho98 agree. Dark Magician is good enough even without the effect monsters' support(because DM's deck already have good s/t support).. I cant think of any other normal monster deck that can do well in this challenge, except maybe frickin law of the normal turbo..

So he's not actually an Ojama, but he has a weird skin condition that makes him look like that?

Or that Lime's mother, if such a thing existed, told him he wasn't actually an Ojama. And Emperor keeps being the father who has to tell Lime that yes, he really is an Ojama.
What are these weird yellowish cards? And why are their effect so nonsensical?
I believe their effects are all the same: inflict 1000 damage to your opponent's sanity.

I like how jimbles and duel logs are represented by their waifus in hardleg's thumbnails
It's always fun when DuelLogs is doing DBCs, he's creative as heck, although his demeanor is more low key than his decks are, which is perfectly counterbalanced by Lime who is the inverse.
I think amazoness swordswoman + doubled edged sword gives you a 3500 monster with double battle damage. Thats pretty neat

another option would be controlling Number 54: Lion Heart, since it makes your opponent take your battle damage automatically, but you can also detach a material to negate battle damage to yourself... it's not as inherently good as the Swordswoman combo, but it's a good alternative, especially in an XYZ deck with lots of level 1s, like Lyrilusc

As soon as I saw Duellogs was in the challenge, I knew Law of the Normal was gonna happen. What I didn't know was it would be with Ojamas of all things.

Dark Magician is angry he has to interact with people. However it's the edgey DARKER Magician so he's happy to be breaking the rules of staying inside. These are the problems that keep me up at night

Also how in the name of the actual heart of the cards did we have a goddam mirror match of level 2 equippy-equip beatdown.
Oh and comment in the comments: I really enjoyed all the decks, regardless of how they preformed, but the level 2 beatdown deck was absolutely my favorite.

These were some lovely matches. Ojamas, dark magician, dinosaurs, and that clown. what more could one ask for from Yu-Gi-Oh? I think the 6950 clown was my favorite, second being law of the normal.

Law of the Normal is a signature card for DuelLogs he really likes it, but yes Ojama Delta Hurricane would of been allot better.

I know I'm late but I tried it out in Legacy of the Duelist, and when it works, it works, it's bricky, but when it goes off, especially with multiple equips, it's a sight to behold... I once got Swordswoman up to 6500 attack and did a direct attack.

You should try playing with monster-only decks and absolutely no Special Summoning allowed.

Does Amazoness Swordswoman work with reflecting the effect of double edged sword? Also there’s a gravekeeper that makes it’s battle damage work as effect damage.

Man this is so close to an idea I had this morning being Only Level 5 and 6 Normal monsters with less than 2000 atk because there's so many weird level 5 and 6 with attack less than most level 4s, with spell/traps obviously

I would go in with three plans: A deck Using Blue-eyes, Advanced Ritual Art and black Luster Soldier, then a straight up Phantasm Spiral deck like others have said, and finally, mystic mine.
I hope "Expand dark magic" is the next Yugi poop.

This was a great challenge TheDuelLogs and Jimbles really made this a blast with 5 cool decks 😄 A deck that would been really good (maybe too good) for this challenge is Pacifis. Normal Pendulum and Advanced Ritual Art decks would of been fun too.
Hmm tough question Joe I'm gonna go with the Dino deck cause of the sneezy boi and Frostosaurus which has some fond memories attached to it for me ☺
We banned Pacifis actually, since it was easily the best option for this challenge.

My favorite funny part of this was when Joe suggested that either of these decks actually have a consistent win condition.
