Hi! Can I please ask you a question? I am really doubtful about something. I've been researching and have come to find out that there are some bible verses missing, and books of the Bible that may have been taken out. Of course, the Bible was written by man but I've been told that the inspiration is from God. So, why were the translators taking out books and verses out of the bible?? I'm not sure about this and am honestly starting to question my faith and beliefs. I don't want to say I don't believe in the Lord, but I'm not sure anymore. Please help me understand.And doesn't it say that we must not alter God's word??? Isn't that contradiction?? What's going on here??Im also afraid that if I ask questions like this that I'm committing blasphemy but I'm just not sure about any of this anymore....

I was one of those people who didn't cry out to God because of my sins. I knew I was/am a sinner and I needed Christ to be my savior but I came to the Lord because I fell head over heals in love with Him and wanted Him. 30+ years later, I need Him more than ever and my love and commitment to Him remains. Not every salvation story is the same.
WHERE CAN I GET THE BOOKS TO STUDY APOLOGETICS & THEOLOGY but get used books so it won't cost hundreds???? I feel stupid not knowing this. Do I have to take seminary classes??
starting out with a bang, powerful opening question, and Alisa handles it beautifully, but to emphasize how perfect her first sentence was I would refer to the admonition to work out ones own salvation with fear and trembling, but she doesn't stop there she takes it to the 'crux of the matter' i.e. what did they loose faith in ?? if that's not the real question, then they had no faith that had meaningful value, thus what did they loose. but there she is being way to gracious (not criticizing her for that just saying) she doesn't 'hear' "lost my faith in Jesus saving grace" because it is NEVER there (and if it is claimed it is a lie, or Jesus is a liar, I'll let you take your pick there, .. ). if people applied the same criticism to other historic wittings that they to biblical texts the result would be that every piece of literature ever discovered (with the possible exception of some from the last century) would be discarded. excellent work, keep the faith, and hang in there : )
Faith isn't a "feeling" it's a "commitment".
