It lasts between 1-2 weeks depending on how much you change styles as well, Honestly, how often you retwist is up to you, just don’t put too much strain on your roots and edges by retwisting too often

Almost seven months loc'd and oil and water is ALL I've ever used. Apple cider vinegar and black soap based shampoo and rose water now. Done.
I wish I knew about oil and water when I started 😭 it gives the lightest and cleanest feeling!
