    It was a nicely done video. But, when it’s time to teach your children how to properly use a level, be sure to tell them a horizontal surface is “level.” A vertical surface is “plumb.” 👍🏼🤔

    Speaking as a Career Navy Sailor. If the flag below the American Flag is a service flag such as Navy, Marine Corp, etc. then it does not have to "fly" 6" below the American Flag.

    going to concert the PVC in the ground today, I made a rebar frame to hold the PVC, kinda over do it but its fun

    the pvc is in the concert, the flag pole in inside the pvc , does the flag pole rotate in the PVC pipe in the wind with the flag, or do you drill and place a bolt through the pvc pipe then first section in the of flag pole to keep it from moving in the wind

    I would use removeable thread locker on the nuts as there will be a fair amount of vibration

    Really appreciate your video. I just purchased the Old Glory 25 ft Sectional. Very informative on how to do stuff. Does the pole rotate in the wind? Would putting something like a fence post or PVC inside the sections make it stronger in a windy area?

      We don’t notice much movement with our pole. We haven’t added any additional parts for strength purposes since install however there are definitely several creative ways to strengthen pole for weather, we just haven’t tried anything.

    I went deeper (about 22-24”) cuz of clay soil, then the gravel, etc. I have 7” of pvc above the concrete showing. My only concern is the first pole seems very loose in the pvc. Will this tighten over time? Should I attach a flexco to the seam?

      I’m wondering why they only supply an 18 inch sleeve for a 25 foot pole. It would be nice to be able to have a 24 or 28 inch sleeve for high wind areas

    Totally confused is why you dumped 6 in of dry mortar cement in the hole before you actually mixed concrete with water and then poured it in. I've never seen this done ever when mixing concrete are pouring a fence post or anything else why did you dump in dry mortar mix?. I'm just curious

    They must be cutting some corners. I ordered the same pole at 30' and it did not come with the Chicago screws to attach the sections together with. A little disappointed in that.

      @@DIYwithMichaelBorders no just watching what you were doing and I thought tape would be better then you can take it off and no concert would get in between the two section. I did buy the flag set as you were showing yesterday. its nice when you can see it put together then in photos on the web site, plus it gives me ideas of wht to do when I get the flag pole . what was the bolt size and length you used for the PVC pipe bottom

      We appreciate the reply. It’s a great product. We drilled a 1/4” hole through the bottom pole housing & then took it to our local ACE hardware to pick out the right length bolt. 2” if we remember correctly...🤔...

    Dont people realize that there's not supposed to be a second no less than 1ft from the bottom of the Amercan flag? If you're gonna fly Old Glory...do it properly out of respect for the flag please. Thank you.
