used to be a fan of ego, but in recent years have started having probs. soft start failures, switch failures. would think twice before biuying them again. Batt prices are horrific and the BMS is unserviceable as completely resin potted
Will see how it goes, two year warranty for commercial use is better than most others offer. Unfortunately all battery prices are horrific, I have three 5ah batteries now and two were completely free. I think you have to chase the specials and give aways when buying these as there are huge savings, this usually costs $650, I paid less than $200 brand new, that’s cheaper than a home brand from Bunnings with no commercial warranty.
@@MikesManCave I bought mine when on sale, so all up with brush cutter, trimmer, 2 batts, at the time it was $1200 and I saved $400 on the then retail. faults were caught under warranty and happened within 3 months of purchase on a 2 year warranty window, they get a flogging, but the soft start on the brush cutter is still flakey
@@gfenwick1 Great to see they fixed your issues, will see how this goes, it gets a LOT of use, I have fully retired my petrol trimmer now and only keeping it as a back up.
Excellent, can you do a video on how to reload the trimmer wire.
I can do, it's pretty simple though, just push it through and wind it up. But I might do a quick video on it anyway.
I have the 21" mower and the STX4500. Have NO complaints about either so far. Extra batteries are very pricey though.
Batteries are always expensive. Buy when they have the free battery deal on, I have gotten two 5ah batteries for free so far.
if you dont use the gurard, how much line gets let out when using it?
As much as you put out, the guard just trims it to length, I have no idea why you would not be using it though.
I feel really silly but it’s just not working for me! I hope you do make a video on it
@@Clos634 🤔what’s not working for you?
