I just bought this model last week, and I am ticklled pink. It was very expensive, but I have waster my money on 3 previous ones that were pretty wimpy and finiky! This one does the job, and the battery has more stamina than I do... at least for now. I have never used more than on segent out of 5! I have also used it on low speed, which seems more that fast enough tor me. Not having to bump feed it is a bonus! It also came with a full spool already loaded,,, and a extra length for when that runs out. I also bought a 5 pack of the official line from Amazon, so I expect for me that is a lifetime supply!
Great video. Bert. that is a nice looking Trimmer. but watch out that will work you. lol and the Deer in the woods are watching you and those nice looking blueberry , keep it clean for them, to slip in there and out real easy for them. lol
Got one a couple days ago , really like it so far . Only thing i wish is that it was was a little bit lighter in the head . I have shoulder problems so that would be really good for me . But i dont regret getting it at all . I already have a strap which , i will be using pretty much all the time .
I grew up on a vegetable farm and we had four rows of blueberries I think 75 feet long and we had to put up a cage with netting because the birds just attacked them., We don’t live there anymore but the bushes are still there and the people that live there have really taken care of them and they’re huge now they’re like 40 years old.
Hey Bert. I gotta say thank you for being an inspiration for me mate. I like the way you go about it, whatever it is you’re up to. Keep it up my bro 🤙🤙
Really nice camera setup for your first field run with the new ego. Thanks for this great video. Looks like a really nice upgrade to the older model. All the best from overseas
I'm thinking about buying one but I don't know whether to buy the 16th or the 15th in because I hear the 16-inch the new one I hear it's over $400 or 3:30 or over $400 which is a little expensive I think now should be around $179 but if it comes with a string and everything in the battery I'm going to check it out because we have more rain this year so we got more weeds everytime I look at these videos I get more information
I think you put the front handel on upside down. I noticed that I can't see the string to judge where it is going to cut. I just haver to sneak up on the weeds to see when they start being cut. As I said that is on low speed!
You've attached the handle backwards to the way that EGO shows it attached on the box. They have it such that it slopes toward your body and not away from it. It might be a minor thing, but it might be more comfortable.
I really haven't noticed a problem... I'm sure you can play with it flip it around and move it up-and-down till you find that perfect pivot point where puts the load on both arms...
I just want to know what that piece was left on your table and are u sending ur old one to Marty that would be a great video watching him clean up his property. I'm tired of watching him watching paint dry haha great videos Bert
The tools Bert send me are absolutely awesome and a total blessing All types of cordless gear The cordless Bosch sawzalls. Have been good for scrapping with the minivan finding larger items and making them fit in the van on the fly etc
Good looking machine. I just bought a ryobi and it has a swivel you kick with foot and it changes to an edger. Pretty cool I thought. /cheers ScrapBongo
Bert, been watching for a long time man and you have definitely influenced a lot of purchases. Pretty much changed the way I go about it all together. You should work on commission!! Lol
Well when I find a good product I definitely will show it we'll show it and this brand has been really good to me it's pretty expensive but I don't care if it's expensive as long as it works good.
I only had one problem with a leaf blower many years ago first gen I called them up and they sent me another one I haven't had any other issues with any of their equipment really I mean nothing that was their fault
Do you have to grease them? I didn't know about greasing the head or the yearly maintenace and it cost $86.99 plus shipping for a new head, on my Ryobi one, (gas powdered)
That Hanger had a slot for a nail ( kind of Handy) . Brushless right? How much power did it have when you really put it to the potatoes , did it bog down?
It felt really good it didn't bog down or anything but none of the other ones I have really bogged down that bad... Electric does have instant torque so
Does that have something like the new car smell? Take it easy during the brake in period - dont floor it right away - never hold at high RPM over 15 seconds?
i remove the guard from mine makes it a little liter and it never cuts the line which saves a inch of line every time it feeds it and i have a lot of edging to do....
I'm pretty sure most of these electric tremors you cannot take the guards off... The computer knows the logic and the board knows.. When the string gets too long the thing will just shut down.... I don't know if this new one is that way but that's how old the old ones have been
I'm about to put this model to the test. Product arrives Friday and I have a good size field of grass to get after behind my house. After I get through trimming the spots I want to get I'm going into the field to see how much longer the battery will last with the 4.0Ah battery. I could mow the field but I'm gonna string trim as much as it will let me lol
I thought you were a scrapper . This channel is like watching the home shopping network lately. I'll be back to viewing when you start scrapping again.
Later.... There are many facets to my life I am not just a scrapper It is just another way to make some scratch... This channel is a small window into my life. If you're not here for that then I'm sorry that you feel the way you feel but thank you for watching What you like to watch... This channel is probably going to evolve and change a lot over the years as I would think every man's life does. Check you on the flip side.
It looks light weight but of course everything is made of plastic these days. I made a new youtube banner on my page. I wanted your opinion. Made it myself with photoshop.
Great New Line Trimmer - works well - You are Happy and a Man needs his Toys - ha ! Cheers from us in Australia !!!!

Bert is a true clean scraper. Thanks for all your vids Bert.
Looks like a solid trimmer. Nice! Have a good weekend.

Will do
You must have won the lottery. Wow. I would be happy for you, but I'm a little jealous of all the new tools you're buying.
I won the lottery the day I quit my job and started doing whatever the h*** I wanted.

It's definitely a Cadillac not an Oldsmobile

There expensive but worth it for sure.
Wonders of nature! Thanks for the vid! 😀😁😀
I have all the ego products. Love them all
Me too... They definitely came out of the gate swinging.
Just bought one, have not put it together and tried as of yet. Ego is the way to go.
It's definitely good stuff
I think you put the front handel on upside down.
I noticed that I can't see the string to judge where it is going to cut. I just haver to sneak up on the weeds to see when they start being cut. As I said that is on low speed!

We're getting ready to go buy the newest edition.
It's pretty good
Hey Bert probably not until they go out on clearance at the end of the season but in Florida it never really goes out
Good looking machine. I just bought a ryobi and it has a swivel you kick with foot and it changes to an edger. Pretty cool I thought. /cheers ScrapBongo
Hey Bert, Are you recording this in a different work shed, one with a dress code?
You should do a long term review. I'm skeptical on the auto feed and auto bump will hold up in the long run
Yeah, i got an old school Tanaka "Brain" auto feed head. Works off engine rpms, spacers and balls.
Thanks bert for the review that is going to be my next purchase i just bought the 18' inch chainsaw and the 10' inch pole saw this week awesome tools
Sweet

Scrap Farm It’s important to have good tools when you have a lot of work like that to do. My dad always said buy the best when it comes to tools.
Left my guard off. Still adjusts string to correct length
I have previous model, power load, and i was wondering if this was the case with new one. Thanks!
I use the old model 8 hours a day 5 days a week and I'm comfortable with the button on the side
Yeah it's not that big of a deal but it does wear into my thumb eventually.... But Hey maybe you have bigger hands.
@@ScrapFarm yeah I'm almost 6' I just bought the newest version for my wife I think the smaller option will be more effective for her
@@lightallseasonlawncareexte98 Either way they're great tools
Nice video! How's it been holding up for you? Looking to buy the ST1620T.

I'm not sure there is any greasing on these
Good video.
Thanks

It felt really good it didn't bog down or anything but none of the other ones I have really bogged down that bad... Electric does have instant torque so
It's pretty much everything is brushless now
Won’t be too long before the grass & weeds are
Needing Constant maintenance
My Black and Decker has ratcheting auto feed. Does the 16” refer to the cutting diameter?
Yes 16 in swath
Does that have something like the new car smell? Take it easy during the brake in period - dont floor it right away - never hold at high RPM over 15 seconds?
I run my equipment like a brand new rebuilt too stroke dirt bike.... Balls to the wall from the beginning.
@@ScrapFarm run it like you stole it is my motto
Did you see the Ezgo or whatever it's called Zero turn mower? I wonder if it's any good LOL
There really good if ya got 6 10ah batterys...
Well whatever turns your crank but I'll stick with my gas operated .👍👍🙂🇨🇦
Damn, you must love those trips to the petrol station & not to mention those prices 😆🇦🇺 (upside down flag)

Does the string release head still function without the trimmer guard?
Not sure usually these things don't like to run without a guard
I was wondering does it get clogged like the other ego power loading ones and is it possible to fix? I'm interested in getting one
I haven't had any problems with it yet
Probably only have about 2 hours on it so far
@@ScrapFarm cool. Thanks
whatcha doing with all them clothes on we in flipflops and shorts here in J-VILLE
Small peice came off hitting the guard blade . Lol
Ryobi ought to give up and sponsor you already!
lite weight is a big plus
Any idea on what the run time is on a full charge ?
Not yet but I would probably guess a lot longer than I wanna be out there lol...
