I have both, and have had them since each offerings initial launch. That said, to date I have used SI almost exclusively. Having been in the software game for quite some decades, both as a consumer and as an admittedly ersatz developer, these two companies are pushing each other to the cutting edge of development utilizing bleeding edge technologies. Super kudos to them and I am excited to see that after only 12-14 months, these folks have created a top tier niche market that will change the way ATC will be delivered going forward. As an aside, the folks at SI have always cheered for BATC’s success and have said so publicly in their weekly YT updates.
Thanks for the video and love my BATC. Reading comments from a lot of flight sim content recently and when did this community become such a bunch of whining Karens? Never used to be like this…..We are in the golden age of flight sim and it will keep getting even better! ✈️
I have noticed the exact same thing. It seems they are new to this and have not been around flight simulations for very long. I find it to be a breath of fresh air at what Microsoft is doing here. It's much more than we have ever had in this genre. 2020 was one of the best sims I've ever had and eventually 2024 will be no different. I have been flight simming for decades and this is by far better than anything we have had yet. I agree that this is the golden age of flight sim.
I have both BATC and SI and have nothing bad to say about either. I really wish you would do an unbiased review of each. They both have their pros and cons and it's great that we have two different solutions to pick from depending on what your needs, budget, etc. are. Competition is always good for the consumer, and I wish each product the best of luck and success.
I have tried both BeyondATC and Say Intentions and find that I don't need all the non ATC bells and whistles that are in SI and of course no subscription required with BATC. Also I think injected traffic is a must. A ATC focused LLM will be the cherry on top. Also I heard that VFR is in Development.
I fully understand they are completely different teams, probably different work schedule even. However, I really wish they would work out bugs before adding more potential bugs to the game. Let the new content team completely iron out their new stuff and be completely bug free if you need.
You are spot on about the differences between basic and premium voices. Very little difference. I am looking forward to a response from the other party.
Are you mad? Basic German is terrible. with klunky Grammar that would never pass The Arbites Bedingun Proofung The "Working Conditions test". . Premium German is the voice of Mentor Pilot off TH-cam.. www.youtube.com/@MentourPilot
Are you implying that, or is it your personal experience that, any add-on, like an airplane specifically designed for MSFS-2024 will work in MSFS-2024? Can you please show us just one add-on that you've purchased, working in MSFS-2024. Thanks from "Mr. once bit, twice shy."
Do you mean designed for 2020 and working in 2024? There are a number of aircraft (not all of course) that were bought for 2020 and work without any form of update in 2024. The HJet, Black Square turbine Duke, the Kodiak to name but a few.
A2A, and the Bonanza Mod also work. A2A was the first, ‘high fidelity’ 3rd party payware to work without any hiccup right out of the gate. Because they have their own custom modeling system, it doesn’t care what sim it’s inside of because it works completely independently.
@LonaldBruhn IRC the A2A Comanche did need a hot fix for a couple of issues particularly the PMS GTN750's dark screen (an issue on most but not all aircraft that have that avionics system). Bonanza mod are you referring to the Black Square one?
I think SI is better than BATC because it doesn't seem scripted. And the speech recognition is also much better in SI than in BATC, so I can do without traffic injection for now, which will be coming to SI soon anyway. And I don't think the subscription is bad and it's not expensive either, but I get a lot more offers than anywhere else.
So because Microsoft/Asobo can't or aren't bothered wiyh ATC,we have to shell out extra money in order to have an efficient version of something that should already have been part of the sim..............................................
Yes it’s the name of the game. It’s always been that way since the beginning of sim. Asobo is a game developer they’re not going to go in details with ATC etc. just depend on 3rd party developers
Seriously? How do you figure built tool is ever going to be as good as a dedicated software solution. Let me put this another way, if you think that the default aircraft are ever going to be as good as payware, no doubt, you are deluded.
A small correction: PMDG DC-6 and not PDMG DC-3 😁 thanks👍 for the info as always and a very 🎄Happy Xmas🎄 to you and all the🛫 ✈MSFS 🛩🛬🚁pilot🧑✈ community all over the 🌍.
Hmmm….interesting statement about SI. Had something reveal itself to me this past week with them. Im an annual subscriber, but actually moved over to BATC after. Not sure it is related to what you vaguely referenced, but I would wager to say it is all related. Lets just say that I was disappointed with what I saw. As a business owner, and a manager of people, it important to set a good example and standards for your clients. I will leave it at that.
I have the both Beyond ATC and Say IntentionsAi. At the moment Say Intentions Ai have all these features and it supports VFR also. And their Say Intentions Ai package, you can order a pizza from the cabin crew. 😊 In my opinion Say Intentions Ai is in the lead. 😊
@@sanjivbhattacharjee9469 yes. It is still in testing. Might be released in end of December. And we don’t need to spend anything more for premium voices
I’m not one to get into the, ‘who’s ATC ai model is superior’, battle; when It’s better to ask myself which model will benefit my use case and then decide from there. So, with that in mind. I want to learn and to train myself on proper pilot communication skills alongside improving my circuit training ops and cross country flight navigation training. Traffic injection would only disrupt my focus on my training; especially if at times, it’s inconsistent (which it’s known to be) and also not necessary to have traffic injection as an added distraction. Plus, if the ai traffic is unaware of my position, that would make the entire feature extremely unusable and problematic to my training. To be clear I don’t know if BATC traffic is not capable of user situational awareness. I also would like to point out, that I have neither BATC or SI. At some point I’m certain I’ll use both depending on my scenario because BATC is a one time purchase. Right now from what I’ve seen in my experience researching both, SI is in the lead, in areas of feature rich development, consistency of updates and practical use case training - coming very close to the next best option to Pilot’s Edge. This is even with Traffic injection which is on their long term roadmap objective. Do I think the traffic injection is a huge game changer. I most certainly do. However, for my use case, it wouldn’t be helpful at all, if I first haven’t mastered the fundamentals and gotten confident in experiencing the busy cockpit environment. That’s where I see BATC being especially rewarding in my second phase of training. For me, it’s just easier to take it one step at a time and why both have a place in the market share depending on our individual needs and goals.

Ive been on Say Intentions, but the cost structure and the added development of BATC is pretty exciting.
It's crazy how from Captain's video the response time was for the LLM. Also got confirmation from a tester that it is way quicker than say intentions!
Your ever-friendly face and great channel is a constant go-to for me. Great year.
May next year be even better for you.

Great work by Beyond ATC, just hope they've done their sums and the cost of providing the increased AI functionality makes financial sense.
They’ve developed it in-house so virtually no extra external costs to them.
just picked up BATC. Long time fan of their work, excited to finally get to use it!
Thanks for all your great videos, Merry Christmas!

That’s why I prefer freighters - no waste of time interiors.

Yeah Just watched the video after. So looking forward to vfr atc
Glad to see the PMDG 747 but where are the updates promised for the 737/DC6 as well as the rest of their fleet?
Good question and are they going to be one of the seemingly few developers who are apparently going to charge for a 2024 update.
day one batc for me and i love it. cannot wait for updates
Thx merry Christmas and all the best for the new year to you guys too ! From Belgium 🇧🇪

It would be good if beyondatc could integrate the software so it can be accessed through an ingame panel rather than a separate entity.
Agreed, have you tried the Beyond ATC VR panel? Someone on here recommended it and it largely saves you having to Alt Tab all the time.
@@I_Evo Thanks..I'll give it a try.
Don’t worry, once MSFS creates a Working Title style relationship with them, it’ll all be fully integrated 😅
@@bjorn2625 Here's hoping😀
I prefer PMDG release scheduling issues, over Asobos' version of release issues
And I don't even have a PMDG aircraft
I think I may pick this up. I don’t want a subscription program.
I can recommend it. I got it because I dislike subscription model as well

You dont have to shell anything out
If asobo and ms figured this out using copilot that would have been an immediate signup for me for plus plan
See, for them this is not important. Important is that you can walk around on foot in FLIGHTsimulator. Not buying 2024 for sure.

I wish That they introduce VFR as well. like a complete package for the ATC and msf 2024 and 2020 garbage
They will. In their own video they’ve said LLMs were required before tackling VFR, as it’s a lot more free form.
