      There's billions spent on helping the homeless. They just have to follow a very few, simple rules which these bums don't want to do. Three quarters of the "homeless" need to be either in jail, in rehab, or institutionalized.

      During the great depression of the 1930's millions of people were homeless. Many DIED! Thanks to FDR we have a better survival network for
      the poor and disabled , but
      with rent prices so Very High , Medical Debts so very costly , and wages so horribly low , the reality is that the poor are people who used to be working class and middle-class who have lost everything they had prior to the 2008 recession foreclosures , or
      pandemic work losses , or Disgustingly expensive Medical Costs and High Rents.
      Yet the Rich are taking in money from Abuses of the poor, working, and middle class people . Also the Rich spend their Money Gambling on Wall Street. It's the Roaring 1920's all over again. The economy is Delusionally Booming . Warmongering is being considered a solution again as it was in the 1930's and 1940's. I have no trust of the wealthy or of media or leaders, or churches for that matter. Greed and Narcissistic fantasy is all they want to focus on. Hilarious you are JUST now seeing this. They are NOT working to solve it. That guy has been living in the downtown connector bridge for years possibly more than a decade. I see him all the time shimmy up in there. It's not going to collapse its solid concrete. The only thing I don't understand is why there are crawl spaces under the bridge. They may be using it as a way to access cables and pipes instead of putting them in the ground. May offer a source of warmth if the pipes are carrying hot water too. It's also a VERY safe and secure space. One way in and its concrete. Hard to rob him and hurt him. I always applauded him for his ingenuity.

      There is a documentary about something like this. Homeless people living in the tunnels of New York. This guy had a whole studio inside of a manhole. • @giggles7179
    @giggles7179 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +44

    This actually happened in another city just a couple of years ago. I believe in that case, was only one or two people that had actually created a surprisingly livable space within. One of the most surprising stories came out of New York City where within a decommissioned tunnel one homeless man had lived for years in a small space under a hatch in the ground. His tale was featured on a news broadcast reporting on the city's plan to remove any of the residents regardless of the absence of crime and with no plans to develop the area. In my opinion, if there's no evidence of crime, theft, health risks, or a reasonable solution to the circumstances that had him living in the quarters to begin with, I see no reason to make life even more difficult for someone less fortunate.

    • @lilmisfit

      That bridge you see in the video as well as two others have been destroyed due to fires set by the homeless. Longtime local businesses in the area are going under because people can no longer drive to them. People who live and work near those bridges or use them to commute are virtually screwed. Once or twice a day, you remove the bag and toss it in the trash dumpster (yes that is legal).

    I keep losing hope in America!
    The cost of living is driving people to serious extremes!
    Housing , Aprtmnts , insurances, etc are leaving people with dilemmas! Even turning pets into rescue facilities(Can’t afford to care for pets)! I pray for the future generation(s)! GREED is in overdrive in our nation! Also addiction isn’t helping either!
    Thank God there’s something better than what’s here on this crummy planet! John 14:1-3 Hebrews 9:27. Revelation 2:10
