My 2007 Toyota Camry has the Brake Light and ABS icons on. The icons come on and off while driving the guages stop functioning the moment the lights come on . Is this a Speed Sensor issue or ABS Sensor issue ? No check code or engine light present to figure it out please help.
Will this cause the tachometer and speedometer to stop reading? My brothers car was close to tree that got struck by lightning. ABS control module was already replaced.
Thanks for the video. Is the VSS the same as the Transmission Speed Sensor? Did you really need to remove the air box or was that just for the video? Seems like most of the video is removing and reinstalling the air filter housing. I can see the VSS in your video right below the battery. Thanks!!
+Kevin Murray Thanks for checking us out! Yes, this will be the same thing, the VSS and transmission speed sensor. You may be able to get this swapped if you do not remove the air box, but this makes it easier to film and show everything.

Are there 2 sensors on a toyota solara. I took my car into a transmission place to check the transmission and a day and $365. dollars later they told me that they had to replace the speed sensor. About 4 days later the car is doing the same thing. I take it to my son and he tells me it has never been changed. I call them and they want me to bring it back in because they say there are 2 speed sensors and they only changed one. Are there 2 speed sensors?
Pretty sure there is 2 speed sensors, at 2:06 you can see both of them. The one he is working on and the one at the bottom of the screen. Did you get anywhere with your repairs?

You edited out the part where you removed the sensor connector and that's the part I wanted to see. Can't disconnect it.
