- You don't get many opportunities to see what lie beneath the waters surface, and that's exactly what we do in this video. Join me at the fantastic Lindholme lakes complex where they are undertaking the winter works on the famous Bonsai lake. Half of the Lake is allready de watered so you can see what you were fishing on and around. While half still needs the fish removing, will we get any suprises along the way .......
hope you enjoy the video, something slightly different to normal but hopefully interesting
thanks
Kayleigh
nice to see something different Kayleigh. makes you realise how much work the fisheries do to keep it good for us. well done all.
Yeah lots of hard work has gone into it 👌
Lovely video thanks for showing the lake, fish, helpers all involved nice too see the retuned safely.
Yeah it was good to be part of, all the fish are fine and were moved safely 👌
A great video Kayleigh 👍 it was nice to see a few decent eels in there, and it's amazing how much silt build's up so quickly, wonderful fishery management 👍👍
Loving the thumb nail that's a corking eel!
Swan mussels and eels there is hope for nature, good stuff!
so interesting and some fantastic surprises, that little golden tench where you was standing in the water when getting the net to the edge was amazing
Facinating video. Great to see how much the water undercuts the banks and islands. I wish my fishing club looked after the lake and swims so well!
Very interesting to see!
Fantastic fishery management....great effort people
Awesome people at Lindholme 👌
Kayleigh great vid allways watch your fishing keep it up very intresting

Awesome. Them eels are big too.
Amazing ,cheers Kayleigh,
Great work from the fishery and at no small cost I would think. Very forward thinking

Nice vid shows you what it takes to drain and net a lake that size to many bream in there for my liking more a carp man tho lol
another interesting and informative video, thank you once again Kayleigh Dowd
Thanks 😊
Good videos it's interesting to see wats under the water. Who needs Polaroids!!
Definitely!
Awesome video as always Kayleigh, cant believe how undercut the islands were.
Big ells as well.
Very undercut, i recon most fisheries are like this. The big eels were awesome!
Love it. I'm there for a week. 3rd day tomorrow. To be honest, I'm knackered. I've never caught so many quality fish for nion's, well since the 80's. Was on peg 80 with what I'm best at. What method, I can't tell you. But then 'll have to K... . Sorry I'm X forces and we love fishing :)
Brilliant, thanks
Very interesting 👍🏻🎣
It was good to see
Well done to lindholme. Wish my lake was drained, bad silt in my local
As other people have said very interesting to see, basically the inside of a pool and how over the years silt builds up. Nice eels a few pound in the net!!😀😀
Brilliant insight!
If you find a method feeder on peg 70 it's mine ,and a no 6 shot 😮
Fair play to you Kayleigh 'mucking in' .
Don’t mind getting my hands dirty 👌
Good vid Kayleigh x
Amazing video
Great video Kayleigh as you said can't wait to fish it and our club has a match on there I in June but hope to have a go sooner tight lines 🎣🎣🎣⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It should be awesome!
very good Kayleigh should of made it longer, never mind, thank you for that, 👍👍
Cheers, it was a busy day so did what ever filming I could 👍
Great vid Kayleigh
Thanks
Just found your channel am I fishermen and was just wondering how they drain and refill the ponds after . I always wonder that . Great video I found your keadby cannel and learnt alot am fishing there next week
Brilliant viewing
It was good to see 👍
interesting to see a lake drained... incredible amount of silt 20+years worth..? must be great making it deeper with shelves etc... on the 'lesser ' pegs id put secret deeper holes there to hold fish an even the odds up... also underwater shelters for fish to hide in and make a sneaky feature on a bland peg....
If you hook one of those eels, you'll certainly know about it Kayleigh 🎣 😬
Definitely 🥴😂
Awesome video kayleigh wonder if fishO final Might be in lindholmes sights?
No think its gone to Westwood, the lake needed doing to be honest. Lots to silt taken out 👍
@@KayleighDowdFishing maybe another 2 to 3 years fingers crossed 🤞 love lindholme. Westwood is cracking too though
That's a big keep net
Just think how many fish lips it takes to make all that silt!
2:49 how much silt is that? 4 feet ? Wonder how much tackle they found 👍🏽😊
Yeah the silt was very deep in some areas! It amazing really! Didn’t see much gear, odd catapult and phone 😂
Fab video Kayleigh. Are they keeping the eels in bonsai? Had any been caught in matches before?
Most were kept in bonsai some were put in Oases 👍 they didn’t often get caught odd one maybe but not many
I imagine that water was freezing 🥶! What happens to the silt - is it taken off-site ?
Yeah all the silt has been moved
That silt would have made such a good fertilizer.
Wonder how much of that silt is untouched bait.
Didn’t see any whole pellets 😂
You can see why those pegs are fliers, all those reeds by the undercuts opening onto what looks a much cleaner, harder bottom than the rest of the lake.
Yeah they will still be very good pegs 👌
And, I forgot to add, people don’t realise the hard work just for the netting
Will there be enough natural food in the stock pond for all them fish
There only in there for just over a week so will be fine 👍
Did the evicted residents get a rent re-bait 😉
How big was that eel in the thumb nail?!
Not too sure we didn’t weigh it. Ot was a big one though 👌
How many pole sections did they find ??
Not many i don’t think 🤔
Eels returned safely
Definitely 👌 they were awesome to see!
Them Eels are huge. Beautiful creatures are they going to put them back in?
Yes they have all be returned safely 👍
1:07 wow. Look how under cut the islands are.
It amazing to see just how undercut they all were 👌
i am hoping to fish that this year never fished it before
It will be awesome! Make sure you tie some deep rigs 😂
@@KayleighDowdFishing will do kayleigh
Any rods and poles found.
No poles but plenty of catapults and a few phones 😂😂
@@KayleighDowdFishing haha any guru pellet pliers all I seam to drop in
Not that i saw 😂
@@KayleighDowdFishing haha they sink like a brick
Swapped to Preston as they float saved me loads and better for the environment
That’s a conger eel
😂 massive!
That eel is a big unit, looks 4lb plus , anyone with more experience than me got an idea of its size?
It was a lovely fish!
Fascinating video!
The undercuts on some of the banks looked dangerous really :-o
Jamie Harrison has a video on this too
They are islands in the water so never going to do any harm 👍
great video but why does this woman not the word 'the' "looking down lake" i laughed everytime
😂
Great vid but the accent missing words out when u speak 😂
Why is it all women match anglers are from up north
100
Are you actually speaking English??? 😬🤭
Good old Yorkshire 😂
why would u put the eel back ☹️
we had a park pond called the Fen in l;owestoft had carp Koi ghost mirrors & crucian plud PROPER golden rudd
the council did ^^^ that to clean it then sold all the fish :( for a huge payday & now its just a couple of feet of water for dickheads with remote control boats ,was a great place to fish :(
