It's interesting that both here and in South America tandem paraglider pilots use helpers, both at the launch and at the landing. In Europe this is almost never done. One of the standard paragliding sayings is: "If you need help to launch - don't". The idea is that if you need help, it means the conditions are too strong and unsafe for you. Besides, I would simply hate someone grabbing my risers, esp. at landing. Sorry to be a party pooper but this is just bizarre.
