I must be a true pilot! All these beautiful upgrades and I'm wondering if that guys brummel is going to pop undone haha! This is my first transatlantic destination as soon as the bans are off, what an amazing place!
Great movie, thanks a lot! But it seems to be a mistake on 11:13 you write about the start of 1200, but it seems to be 1800?.. Maybe I'm wrong ) Great video, thanks for the notes!
Two pilots collided today 20 meters above the ground in Oludeniz when approaching to landing. One dead, the other has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
So very different from when I first flew here over twenty years ago. The launchpoints then were very dangerous and difficult. Great vid Frank, hope to fly with you here again. PS: Lost any Oakleys here lately?
Well you have certainly seen massive changes there over the years you have been going Brian. Missed you this year but saw that you went out in October. I’m booked in again next year so hope to catch up with you then. I will keep my Oakley’s close though😁
als ich das letzte Mal in Ölüdeniz gewesen bin, war es noch eine wilde Piste rauf auf den Dag und oben warteten Bauern, die Schafskäse, Tomaten und Fladenbrot frisch gemacht offerierten.
Question from a noob: If the parachute you fly on just tears off or just gets destroyed, do you have a safety net like a parachute or nah?? Great video btw!
Hi Thank you for the comments and I’m glad that you enjoyed the video. The thing that we fly in these videos is a Paraglider. If anything goes wrong with that we have a parachute which is stored in reserve under the seat of the pilot or sometimes in front of them. That will be used in any emergency. Hope that helps😊
beautiful video and well choreographed with the music !! would a pilot with only 30 hours be allowed to launch there ? any tips for getting guided for the first flight or two ? if i arrive on my own. many thanks.
Thank you for the very kind comments. To answer your question, I have seen many pilots with a lot less than 30 hours flying there, so there is no actual restriction. I would suggest that you just get the mini bus up and try to fly off 1700 in the first instance if possible as it is larger. Just sit and watch for a while and speak to one or more pilots, plenty of English speakers, to ask for a site briefing. I have done this lots of times and there are many pilots who will be willing to help. Most important things are to prepare away from the launch and do not feel rushed when you get on to the launch, just take your time and follow your usual procedures. Hope that helps.
@@Frank274 Thank you very much.thats good advice, Ill do exactly as you suggest. and ill look forward to another one of your stunning videos, that just make me want to get up there and do it. youre an inspiration to us newer pilots. thank you.
@@ohakuneyachtclub8753 Thank you again for the comments and interest in the videos. I hope that you get to fly in Oludeniz but in the meantime - happy flying!
Thanks Andy😊 The top chairlifts were completed a while ago but other than a few tests they have not carried passengers up to last October. The main gondola station, featured in the video was still being built at that time. The hope is that things will be up and running this year but not heard of any specific dates.
Hi, thank you for the comment. Yes it is amazing and you are right, it can get busy in the air. There are sometimes collisions but most pilots work hard to keep all round observation and avoid each other. It's in all pilot's interest to be as observant as possible and avoid other gliders.
Went up in the cable-car this time 2 weeks ago. 3 years ago I went up in a Transit bus and did the jump. Wonderful.
Amazing so many improvements sine I flew there ! Thanks for sharing! 👍

Ich auch! Aber im Moment steht die Türkei auf der roten Liste (UK) und wenn sich das diese Woche nicht ändert, kann ich nicht gehen.

Very good video. Can you tell me what the entrance fee to the property is to use the facilities and take off? Thank you
Another superb video. And not so many trees to crash into now !
Thank you for the kind words and, as you say, one less tree to get caught up in😊
i was there late 2023, but i dont remember seeing a large flag or flag pole. Although I went up by bus rather than the lift maybe thats why?
Awesome. How do you mount the invisible selfie stick behind you?

Why is the music dramatic. It scares more
Looks amazing. I know nothing about paragliding, but the skies look very crowded with gliders. Is there a risk of any of crashing into each other?
