You all knew it was coming at some point lol, No tears tho! This song I hope succeeds in capturing some of the feelings the original presented. I put alot into the mix because truth be told, The negative feedback on the Honeybee Manor got me panicky, like i was slipping in quality. I made sure this one could be as polished as possible while retaining emotion. The master limiter isn't hitting as hard as some of the other songs. As always, LIKE COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE!
@Stubz1989 Seriously, man. You have insane talent. Not everything you do can be and/or beat out your 'Magnum Opus', so even if a newer release isn't received as well as others, that by no means says you failed. I understand that you're getting lots of praise and that can make you feel pressure to live up to these expectations, but as the person above said, don't let it get to you. So long as you don't forget your passion behind making these, you're going to do amazing.
To say this is phenomenal is an understatement, this is literally what Aerith's Theme would've sounded like had FF7 came out on the N64 like originally planned. Amazing work!
I know the inspiration is likely "these are two games that came out around the same time with some overlapping themes", but for me, Ocarina of Time was a game that defined my relationship to games and art in general from a young age--between 10 and 18, I played every Zelda game as well as dozens of other Nintendo games. Over several decades, I heard about the creation of these games---about the design of Level 1-1, Miyamoto insisting the Morph Ball transition has to be seamless in Metroid Prime, the paintings and literature and symphonies that inspired Skyward Sword, and so much more. It made me realize that even things that even "fun" can, itself, be surprisingly deep and thoughtful. Meanwhile, I played Final Fantasy VII for the first time *this year* because I decided to go through this (rather long and dense) series of games in its entirety, and it feels like a culmination of everything I've come to love as an adult as well as tapping into ideas I thought I had abandoned or "grown out of". I've been reading and listening to so much about the people behind these games, through reviews and wikis and essays and videos (Final Fantasy Union has given me SO MUCH to chew on, creatively). What comes to mind is the dedication in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe: My Dear Lucy, I wrote this story for you, but when I began it I had not realized that girls grow quicker than books. As a result you are already too old for fairy tales, and by the time it is printed and bound you will be older still. But some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again. You can then take it down from some upper shelf, dust it, and tell me what you think of it. I shall probably be too deaf to hear, and too old to understand a word you say but I shall still be your affectionate Godfather, I feel like playing this Final Fantasy VII, these Final Fantasy games, made me realize I'm old enough for fairy tales again, so to speak. These songs are making me nostalgic for my childhood and for January of this year. I actually wrote this on another video--but Zelda and Aerith are perhaps two of the most important characters I have had the grace to meet, so I felt it needed to be here. Honestly, in comparison to your other work, these are fairly basic--your original songs and more-original remixes are really stellar and I'm excited to hear more! But even so these are incredibly special to me, and I'm so very grateful I found them, and that you continue to create them. Thank you so much.
the way that it just kind of cuts off with the last note just playing out without any real resolution just...gives that feel of "wait no, I'm not ready-I didn't even get to say goodbye"
I like this one :) always loved this theme. Invokes that feeling of sadness and sorrow over the loss of someone. And that remembrance one has of the “good ol’ days”
Stubz, I don't know what to say... Tears just came involuntarily at the beginning when the harp plucks came following the Ocarina during the most iconic and emotional song of FFVII Spectacular job. The nuances on just how amazing these videos are might be lost on a lot of people outside of our generation but to us and all those who can see and fully appreciate the passion behind this... we salute you. Thank you.
Yes! I agree, well said. I was listening to this and was like I bet I won't choke up with this......godammit🥺 Your music fills mind with fanmade imagination for FFVII and OoT, both funny, awesome, and the somber.

During the scene at the temple of time with Zelda where you get light arrows, instead of the pink crystal forming around zelda, Ganondorf drops from the ceiling and stabs her, then you fight twinrova life. Or Twinrova after life, since they died in the spirit temple.
These ports have been amazing, I just can't wait for whenever the overworld theme drops, certainly one of my favorite pieces of the game and in a way a parallel to the main Hyrule field theme.
I'll be honest, I think this one might actually have a better mixing than the original. As much as I love the original, there's a quality to it that kind of hurts the ears on the upper ends, and this one is much more gentle than that. Otherwise, near indistinguishable from the original mix. Bravo. And for the record, I didn't dislike the Honeybee Inn mix. It had a few parts that blared, but I still enjoyed it.
I cut Frequencies between 3-5k hz, those are sharp to the ears and I automated the velocities of the Ocarina, so in layman's terms, the high notes are reduced volume by a few db to give the illusion of "smoothness" vs being loud and sharp
Wait really? I honestly made that as somewhat a joke suggestion (though I made it because I would love to hear it) If you can and want to that would be fantastic, friend (:

Don't sweat the criticisms too much. They're good to learn from but try not to let it get under your skin.
@@SugarOBunny I appreciate that on so many levels

Hearing that old ocarina takes me back to when I was kid, it’s enough to make me tear up. Fantastic work, I hope you stay at this for a long time

Next you should do Kakariko Village with FFV soundfont 😈
Id have to find the soundfont of the keys Nobuo Uematsu used. It's possible
Wait really? I honestly made that as somewhat a joke suggestion (though I made it because I would love to hear it)

Do you plan on making a compilation folder to add for Oot randomizer? You're adding so much more content for the randomizer it's insane
I will be making a .Rar once the last 62 songs are done
