I can relate, and have to agree, I did it on my MB 230 and it sounds amazing. Though engine sound does not come from exhaust only but also intake, if you want that low tone, you will also have to build a custom intake manifold with short runners but with enough air volume, let's say around 2 Liters to resonate! I'm hungry for video like this where people go over the fundamental limits and experiment for themselves just by thinking, great job bro
Well he left us hanging. I really wanted to hear that pipe on a Honda Accord or something just to see how it sounded maybe on a Ford 5000 tractor🤔🤔. Great video 👍
I really want to hear it work out There was a You Tuber who tried to make a Mercedes sound like a Pagani And now to hear a normal car sound like a Subaru would be interesting too. Love these Exhaust experiments.
This ordinary inline4 exhaust sound is painful to ma ears also, so i was looking for video long time ago, and finally U made it, exactly like i imagine it. How about the sound of your creation, have u tried it fitted to engine. Itll be extremely curious and educational, if itll work for you, i would try it myself one day ;) Also i have question about inline4 firing order: 1342 is what they tell us, but its also 3421, also 4213, and 2134. What i mean, if you make half of the i4 short and other half long piped, the result would be same i guess ;) Thank You for making this video and im glad that someone is thinking like i do ;)
There are 2 other videos of how it sounds. One with it installed through the stock system, and one after I cut the stock muffler off. Am working on the new muffler and tail pipes and will post the finished sound once complete. Thanks for watching.
Man this sucks. Adblocker doesn't work anymore and I have to watch videos about grammar correcting applications and armpit deodorant. I mute the video and scroll down to the comments but most of the time I miss the actual video I came here to watch. Thumbs up anyway. PEACE
Unequal length headers have been around a while, they don't really have the boxer rumble but they do have a really nice exhaust note, they sound like half a flat plane v8 which is exactly what they are. Here's a good video of a guy who did it to a civic D17 th-cam.com/video/3s6KINUSyZM/w-d-xo.html
Yes, I watched this video when it came out as I owned the same car as his at that time. I am attempting to make this as accurate as possible considering cylinder arrangement and firing order. I guess we will have to wait and see
GOOD GOD, please keep practicing your welding and fitment. I know this was for demonstration but you clearly have the skills to lay a weld that will work for the most part but you are SO CLOSE to putting down good welds.
Haha, hey man, thank you 😂😂😂😂, I bought a cheap used mig welder and didn't clean a darn thing as I welded. "just a test!!!" I literally turned it upside down and filled it with water to see where pin holes were just to seal it up. This is why I stated, not for looks or quality, just for sound. If it works out, I may build a nice one. This was scrap exhaust I had laying around. Video intended for people with nothing but junk to play around with😅
@@NITROUS_NU.B I learned "Mig" with a cheap flux core and got REALLY GOOD with it. IMO thats where its at for dirty exhaust stuff like this. NOW im trying to hone my skill with TIG. if flux core didn't splatter so much id probably use it for nearly all my projects.
The two things that no one wants to hear: a V6 or a 4 cylinder with loud exhaust. I'm doing a 4 cylinder turbo swap right now and if it takes 4 mufflers to make it silent I will do that. If it's not a V8, muffle it up, no one out of high school wants to hear that crap.

I'd like to hear it
I will definitely upload at least one video of how it sounds once I have time to install it. Be ready 😂, it's coming...
Following to see exhaust note. Kinda excited

I wonder how an inline 6 would sound like with this sound
I have to hear this! I want this on my car. There's probably enough room for that header

When will we hear it?
Soon enough, guys! I have a ton of work to do before I can start it. Please stay tuned and be patient, it IS COMING!!!!
Can this setup be made on turbocharged like 4G63T engines?

I saw a post somewhere about making adblocker work but I can't remember where it was.
It's still viable you can make it work again
Are you watching on a PC? Brave adblocker is still working just fine on Android.
Also there is an app called revanced that automatically skips ads.
Use firefox
I have heard many modified WRXs in competition events and none sounded very pleasing. A high revving NA inline 4 is so much better.

Kinda hard work with the pipes there, but it should sound awesome. patent it? lol
Good luck trying to make it sound like my sti 🤣
Well not exactly but close enough, and let's not forget an engine sound is not only from exhaust but intake as well!!!

😂😂😂😂 you actually think the shape of a header makes and engine loud? I mention nothing about removing mufflers from vehicles so.....
Subarus sound like crap. Why would you want to make your car purposely sound worse?
Yeah..... inlines are boring
@@NITROUS_NU.BYou need to get out more.
