this makes me soo proud to be hmoob...its nice to see we still have some similarities...the part where they stop half way to have lunch took me back to when i had my wedding...brought back soo much memories...I did notices that the bride didn't change...i guess thats the part that is different from ours in the U.S...Bride would wear the groom's side of the family's clothes then when she returns from her parents side of the party, she would wear her side of the family's clothes...it gives the bride a mother and daughter moment for the last time that she would help put clothes on her daughter...this clip makes my heart soo happy..thank you sonny
How amazing to have such close family and community, we in the west have missed our heritage and I would love to see it back for everyone. Great content Sonny, may the Iive happily ever after :)
Missed this kind of things. The way all villagers helping together to prepare massive food for the bigger important events, it was so amazing and enjoying to watch. And even though they use tech, they never forget their culture.

I appreciate you taking the time to visit the Hmong village. I am a Hmong American and yes things has changed over time. But some villages still do it traditionally (old fashion way). Hmong PRIDE for LIFE. Love your videos man💯💯
It's not bad, younger generation don't like it that much... We also eat that here in Arunachal Pradesh, India..but it's mostly preferred by elders because of its bitter taste... I personally don't like it.....but all the elders love it and you will find in every feast here in our tribe (Tani tribe)
In the Philippines we have a dish called papaitan. It is made with Goat bile, green in color, a bit bitter and grassy taste. I LOVE IT! that beef one is the same.
Thank you for the video! One side note to mention is that, in this case, the food feast was similar to what a reception would be. The wedding ceremony was done in the bride then groom’s home by the family representatives. These two parts of the ceremony consist of long hours of traditional singing, negotiation, and promises by both sides of the family to watch over and protect this marriage.
its crazy how intelligence is measured differently across the world. wheres the need for mathematics and calculus when you have to know how to use every part of a specific animal?
Beautiful village! I'd like to go visit someday. I don't think a lot of people in this world know much about us/Hmong people. Thank you for showing our culture and our people to the world. I can't wait for more episodes showing an everyday life is like for the Hmong people.
I appreciate seeing and learning about Hmong people from Thailand. I live in the 2nd largest population of Hmong in the US, Fresno, California. They love the agricultural here. I've seen way much bigger pig heads at Hmong local markets here. You should look for a funeral for a general from the Vietnam war. They have very special celebrations that take days, big food and Hmong dance and music. I have a picture of General Vang Pao dedicating the Hmong Vietnam war memorial in Fresno, CA.

This is awesome. I am Hmong and it’s always great to see other people get to experience our culture
this makes me soo proud to be hmoob...its nice to see we still have some similarities...the part where they stop half way to have lunch took me back to when i had my wedding...brought back soo much memories...I did notices that the bride didn't change...i guess thats the part that is different from ours in the U.S...Bride would wear the groom's side of the family's clothes then when she returns from her parents side of the party, she would wear her side of the family's clothes...it gives the bride a mother and daughter moment for the last time that she would help put clothes on her daughter...this clip makes my heart soo happy..thank you sonny
‘I’m more beautiful?’
No darling, you’re just beautifulerrr. Because no one is beautifulerrr than yooou ❤️
By God what a beautiful picturesque place!! Nice to see Andrew again.

Missed this kind of things. The way all villagers helping together to prepare massive food for the bigger important events, it was so amazing and enjoying to watch. And even though they use tech, they never forget their culture.
Oh man these are the types of videos that got me hooked on the channel.
Omg!! I’m Hmong!! This is great!! That lady at the beginning of the video said “ the child’s hair is curly/wavy like yours!”Congrats to the married couple!
Thank you! I was wondering!!
My first gf was a hmong girl in America. Great family and love there traditions. She was green Hmong The Yang Family!!!
BEFRS team, you guys are doing a wonderful job. 👏 👏👏
Absolutely love seeing all the different ethnic groups in Vietnam and appreciate the authenticity of both Sonny and Andrew’s experiences.
Your openness to immerse yourself into different cultures, without judgement, is eye opening or me! Thank you for letting me live vicariously through your vids and experience the beauty of our world. ❤️
I appreciate you taking the time to visit the Hmong village. I am a Hmong American and yes things has changed over time. But some villages still do it traditionally (old fashion way). Hmong PRIDE for LIFE. Love your videos man💯💯
I feel like it always tastes better when food is made from 'giant ass cauldrons' lol
🤣
@Fat Monkey that uneducated person has a phd in culinary
@Fat Monkey Don't know - why don't you ask him?
@@tarek_wehbi lol I know right, plus he's currently the biggest foodie review channel on TH-cam

Hmong people have a big heart when comes to special events like this they will cook for the whole village
Dude, at 18:55 that gastric juice dish is soooo bad that even that local indigenous girl was having a hard time.... 😂😂😂
To be fair, it's more of a drinking dish and mainly men enjoy it. How do I know? Because I am.
Old people really like it. It's like a show of wealth I guess because not everyone can afford to slaughter a cow.
Its an acquired taste that most of the older people like. You will never see that dish being made amongst the younger groups.
It's not bad, younger generation don't like it that much... We also eat that here in Arunachal Pradesh, India..but it's mostly preferred by elders because of its bitter taste... I personally don't like it.....but all the elders love it and you will find in every feast here in our tribe (Tani tribe)
I'm glad you cover the outskirts of Vietnam. So much history and culture there to educate us viewers.
Your friendship dynamic with Andrew is by far one of the best to exist.
So much work goes in to preparing for these weddings. Truly takes a village!
I wish we could also have a life like u, people in India are living in fear. So happy to see u guys, that mean we still have a hope

I was wondering when you'll get around to a Hmong Village! Glad you got to experience our Culture and people.

You touched it you have to finish it! I love everything about this video. Great great job. Thanks for the video.
In the Philippines we have a dish called papaitan. It is made with Goat bile, green in color, a bit bitter and grassy taste. I LOVE IT! that beef one is the same.
It's funny😂. How many guys did come to ask you for drink, Sonny?
It's in our culture for man of the groom or bride side to walk around to give everyone drinks at the wedding.
It’s show how asian respect western people.🙏
@@sodolee76 I like it ..
@space crocodile about 100 rounds
This is a very modern take on a traditional Hmong wedding. Congrats to the newlyweds!
Me: reading the recipes as if I can be bothered to actually cook
Nice to see Andrew again~
th-cam.com/video/pfTTvYUlqwE/w-d-xo.html❤️
Thank you for the video! One side note to mention is that, in this case, the food feast was similar to what a reception would be. The wedding ceremony was done in the bride then groom’s home by the family representatives. These two parts of the ceremony consist of long hours of traditional singing, negotiation, and promises by both sides of the family to watch over and protect this marriage.
This is awesome. Thanks for the amazing video. It’s great to see other Hmong tribes and their traditions. Love it!!!!!
Welp... Thuyen, Calvin and Andrew.. This 3 are my favorite co-host of Sonny. 😂
Me too
You forgot Long.
Thuyen was my favorite until she made racist comments against white people on Instagram. Now Calvin is my Favorite
@@jimraihl9833 what did she said?
@@jimraihl9833 yeah what?
They were so nice to Andrew and Sonny. The men weren't yelling at them for being so stupid for not know how to chop up a pig and the like.
its crazy how intelligence is measured differently across the world. wheres the need for mathematics and calculus when you have to know how to use every part of a specific animal?
It's crazy, he's on the hmongs now. I love it
Beautiful village!
Dear clever editor, you have outdone yourself with the butchering pit banter. Kudos!
You will Drunk forget the way home with the custom of drinking alcohol of the Vietnamese people.
denmark is here come at me
Nothing brings people together like getting drunk together.
Giggle!
Sylvia Young gigitty!
My Hmong people! In the Hmong tradition, if the elder pours you a drink on the table like that, it's a sign of respect. Awesome video
You guys did an awesome job presenting the Hmong people again on this channel and an understanding of its culture, food and traditions.
Been waiting for years!! Now u did it!! My Hmong people!
