- Arizona is known for its incredible hummingbird diversity and two of the best spots to see them are Ash Canyon and Miller Canyon. During my trip to Arizona in August, I visited both locations with some friends in search of rare hummingbirds, including White-eared Hummingbird, Plain-capped Starthroat, and Lucifer Hummingbird.

I got my first Lucifer there with Mary Jo too.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video . . . so many exquisite little gems. 🪽
They're all so beautiful ♡
You do an awesome job of editing! Mad skills! Great video.
There is a place like this in Jamaica called Rockland Bird Sanctuary where the endemic Jamaican Streamertail (Jamaica's national bird) and the Jamaican mango are so tame they drink nectar from your hands. I've been there and it's magical. There is a story behind it as well, about a woman who was so close to the hummingbirds she fed them by hand, and her family has kept up the tradition.
Beautiful views! I need to go to those sites! My best Arizona hummingbird sighting was a Costa's hummingbird who landed on a low branch close to my camp at Lake Pleasant -- an unforgettable experience!
Great video..I got my first Lucifer at Ash Canyon, and first White-eared at Beatys. I still need the Plain Capped Star throat to complete my set of Arizona hummers. Planning another trip back out this year in July. The Violet-crowned is probably my favorite.
That's a Gila Woodpecker, not a Golden-fronted
