Saw this from Shawshank. Was instantly mesmerized by it. Immediately went out and bought the highlights from Marriage of Figaro. I played it at least twenty times. The words of Red came back to me: I have no idea what those two ladies were singing about. For a brief moment, every man was free. ~ 💟
if you want music to touch you, then you should really listen to this. From the moment they start singing, they take you along and you just never want it to stop. Thank you Mozart, but Garsington Opera as well, for sharing this beauty
If Mozart came to his prime today, my fear is that he would be a TikToker or something equally watered down and depressing. He'd probably play hard into his scatological fetish and have really well scored 30 sec videos of him throwing poop at a wall or something. On the plus side he'd have probably done a collab with Joji back during the Filthy Frank era. God, but I can only dream.
What enchanting aria. First time a heard this was in the movie "The Shawshank Redemption" th-cam.com/video/p8STa0EoUwI/w-d-xo.html where the leading actor (Tim Robbins) made the other inmates listen to it. Anyone who has seen this scene and is not moved even a little, has a garbage bag instead of an heart...
I found this, albeit laudable overall , a little rushed & 'jumpy' - so I slowed it down to 0.9 speed & BOOM! Raised it to the next level! Closer to what is the pinnacle, unsurpassed benchmark performance this aria by Kiri Te Kanawa & Mirella Freni , in the film version of Figaro. 👏
Such a beautiful song!!It really fills my heart w joy!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I stop here at least once a month just to drift away. I can only imagine what this must have sounded like live.
So pleased you are enjoying it. You're always welcome to come and drift away here!
I do the same. I take a few minutes in the working day to cool off listening to Mozart.

Чудный голос... Девушки прекрасны!
Sublime
Uno dei più bei duetti il genio di Mozart
Si
Semplicemente magnifico!
Mozart, a genius way ahead of his time, a talent that would outshine his contemporaries if he were alive today.
He outshone his contemporaries when he was alive.

Musica tan sublime, para un asunto tan banal

このアリアも、良いですね。
Awesome
Thank you!
good~
Mozart, chess and dogs are the best.
I have to emphasise, not at the same time. I tried to bring my dog to the opera house, she was not welcome...

The film version is painfully slow 😭😭
@@sarahvdhm No.. I think the FV is perfection ( in so many ways! ) , extant! 🙂
Their “S” sounds louder than their voices! Haha
