The pin lets you use the same function again and again without having to re-open it. For example, the mate function is pinned down by default and you can make multiple mates one after the other, while the insert component function is not pinned down by default, and automatically closes as soon as you have imported a component.
My solidworks doesnt work like this anymore, whenever i do a line sketch and hover over an egde or the centerpoint. It doesnt highlight anything anymore
what does convert entities actually do?
I'm trying to find out the answer too but noone can expain it very good, even experts :(
it converts the solid surface into lines so, we can use those to build sketches on solid features
