I just came back from their live at CLUB CITTA’, Kawasaki , JP (Jan 19, 23). They did not play anything new, BUT, they threw new and unheard smashes and arrangements with their good old hits. They also announced that they’re visiting US and Mexico this August, which will be their third time in US this year around the roll, already.

@@armynurseboy I’m sure they did. Most of them attended college and all graduated HS; periodic table via HS chemistry. In other fan cams there was a man and a lady in the audience front row speaking to them in Japanese explaining the meaning behind the towels. So I’m sure they get the joke regarding the newly discovered element known to man exclusively found in Japan.☺️

One of the best live renditions of Dice I've seen. Still wish Miku would double the guitars on the main riff every time it's played, but whatever. Great crowd, too - I love to see Saiki touched by active participation.
Nah I think Miku’s palm muted chugs are very important to have. Notice how during the intro riff MISA swaps between playing with the two guitarists. During the first two measures she plays in unison with Miku’s chugs. For the next two she switches over and plays with Kanami. It’s Miku that holds down the rhythm which allows MISA to slide wherever she wants. If they all played the same thing together it would not have as much impact as it does. It’s this kind of dynamic composition that makes the DICE riff so beautiful. It’s such a fun riff to play and my favorite from them so far.
@@pork7234 We're talking about different things. During the opening of the song, Kanami and Miku play the main riff in unison, and it sounds huge and awesome like the recording. Then Saiki sings the first line of the first verse and Kanami plays the riff alone. Miku is playing nothing. Same thing after the second line of the verse. Miku doesn't do any palm muted chugs until after Kanami is finished playing the riff and they transition to the chorus. Same thing with the second verse. If Miku played the riff in unison with Kanami instead of doing nothing, it would sound much bigger and much better.
@@kevinmiller1121 Ah I gotcha. Then yeah I think it would sound good. I don’t see why not. They probably just wanted to turn down the intensity a bit just for the verse part. Understandable have a nice day.
