Beat my first solo daybreak with this guide. Didn't use the blast rifle or remote rocket pods, either. Never made it past wave 6 before. I wrote some notes that hopefully will help future survivors. Feel free to copy to a note pad to glance at every round. Ik it's a lot. *Prep* - Check NPC guns. Hordebreaker > Shotgun - Drop bandages by Technician - Drop Wall Repair Kits behind middle wall - Drop Primary Weapon w/ ammo in middle road (preferably Blast Rifle) - Drop medkits in front - Drop explosives to the left (preferably Remote Rocket Pods) - Drop default Stormbringer w/ ammo to the right (Secondary Weapon) - Drop melee wherever (makes executes faster) - Equip default shotgun w/ ammo - Keep default snacks *Wave 1* - Use default shotgun for 1st round *Wave 2* - Use default shotgun for 2nd round - You can shoot armored zombies to buy time - Once done, ditch default shotgun. Use Primary here on out. - For CLEO drops, drop all inventory minus equipped weapon; Prioritize Primary & Secondary ammo, Repair kits, and consumables *Wave 3* - No explosives intended, use Stormbringer for Juggernauts. Keep in top left slot - Shoot jug’s belly. First time I saw that, I thought it was a cone that landed on top of one because I kept hitting cones at full speed for fun. I also loved putting things on the heads of the zombies in Dead Rising, so I thought it was pretty funny. 😂

Daamn this is gonna help so much, always hated the slow animations with the melee weapon. One thing I started doing is I turn the zombies into crawlers and the NPC's finish them off. Does help a little more. Great vid!
One of my favorite methods is staying on the field while everyone else defends the wall. That way I can fight juggernauts solo and keep them off the walls entirely
I just used this strategy and holy shit this made it absurdly easy, its kinda sad that its easier to do it solo than with a full team, I also expected the last wave to be WAY harder than it actually is.
Thank you for this guide. I'm able to solo Daybreak now. I had some breaches but doing it this way allows me to recover quickly. I typically use the CLEO Shotgun so the Blast Rifle Takes some getting used to with the dodging, but it can be done. First try got to wave 6, once that became the average, I lost at 35 seconds on 7 because I blew the minefield too early while placing them during wave 5 because I was doing it while sprinting on pad. Tossed a few explosives by accident for good measure running behind the clock, then didn't grab the CLEO Shotgun for the last wave which would have saved me. I Blast rifled every juggernaut except the last one. Once I did it just like you did and grabbed the Shotgun for Wave 7 it was easy. I had an earlier breach so I used the explosives early to recover but since the shotgun is basically my main, I can do it without them on 7. With some practice and fine tuning, I'm sure I can get the breach less no problem.
I have benefited from your videos and knowledge earlier and now again, thank you so much RvidD! Before this video, I never realized the Wolverine shotgun could be this useful for the first few waves. Awesome job bro! Edit: For the last wave I actually used the CLEO SMG, its huge mag size was very helpful in close quarters with the final juggs tbh,
The fact is, even if you use a whole clip of CLEO SMG against a Jugg, you won't be able to bring them down. It is so weak. The Juggs were probably brought down by those 2 NPCs.
"I'd tell you how many zeds are coming your way, but it'd just depress you" lol am dead. I already depressed after watching this. Way too many zombos. My biggest achievement in this game is getting the first juggo ive ever seen stuck inside a gate. That was my first and last juggernaut kill.
Great play! Today I done all 148 achievements. This particular one was one of hardest, but it can be managed.Needs more practice, but it can be done. I always used shotgun as you did. Then blast rifle. Minefield against ferals.
There is one more thing you should know. In Daybreak, the zombies count will vary depends on the number of players joined. The zombie count will be same in solo/duo Daybreak. But in 3 and 4 player Daybreak, it will almost be doubled. So solo and 3 player Daybreak is hard compared to 2 and 4 player Daybreak. Duo Daybreak is the easiest. 4 player Daybreak is also easy. 3 player Daybreak is easy but slightly harder than 2 and 4 players Daybreak. Solo Daybreak is always hard.
I got it in solo. I quit in and out till both npcs were using hordebreaker. Got the "forgot my breaches" and "I was all alone" achievements together 💕😊
He got infected with the plague only at wave 7 O.o! Almost got to the end without getting the Technician injured...(I always used my first minfields to protect him, the others outside) Man you inspired me. I am working on a Solo Daybreak guide without using any CLEO starting gear. It is only with RTX weapons. It will be useful for the people who have not unlocked any CLEO weapons. Have won few games only with RTX weapons. But have not perfected the strategy yet. Will probably upload it in a week.

I actually leave the middle gate open, it makes them come in one arena. The juggernauts don’t come in the middle, while they coming from the sides I let the NPCS take care the remaining zombies
Was a pretty solid guide been adapting it to my play style/learning how to play like this, I still get breaches (only on wave 5) 6/7 tend to be fine for some weird reason maybe I am doing something wrong who knows, regardless I don't die and always seems to be pretty solid so good job keep it up my man earned a sub.
Daybreak has a lot of bugs. With all those bugs, it is hard to win breachless solo. But are you able to win solo all the time when following this Strategy??
@@StateofDecayScience At first it wasn't working out (probably on my own accord/fault I only recently started playing this game again) I owned it when it came out but never really got into it until about 2-3 weeks ago, regardless now I do not seem to fail unless I really cock up. As said in wave 5 is where my only breaches seem to happen and when you get the 4 minefields I actually put 2 around the tech which still works out fine it allows me to ignore ferals and let them just die to mines inside, of course that can still happen when you lay it outside. But I am gonna try that version aka yours of the minefields see if it makes it easier overall yes it is pretty much a 99.99% win unless a real bad cockup happens.
Do you have any tips for multiplayer? Like I sometimes play with randoms but I tried to use a similar strat in multi of course does not work gotta split ammo etc, is melee more useful etc?

My Solo strategy is good for solo/Duo Daybreak. But not for 3 and 4 player Daybreak. awesome guide man! never seen a technician behave so well on daybreak. i can solo daybreak but with the help of luck. i always get breached in later rounds and my tech usually dies coz i always get tempted to throw that flamebombs thingy while there is poison gas around or near the tech. but thanks for your insight on the proper way of soloing its smooth af man! edit: i hope there were timestamps for each round so i can accurately jump through specific parts to study where i made mistakes on my solo run. thank you

I Know I'm a little late but thank you so so much for the guide. I did it after a couple hours because the AI kept on getting the shotgun and the RTX Horde Breaker which made it really difficult, but I pulled through it. 👍
Shhot this is insane. I only made it to wave 5 twice using explosives with multiple breaches. I had to play like 8 times to get enough prestige to recruit a red talon in campaign. Im no where near as good a shot as you but I’m trying this tomorrow😂
My juggernauts never acted like that, every one of em came in charging, and most were plague juggs. Besides that, I think if I get some better inventory management, obviously that blast rifle and Cleo shotgun, I can prob make it past round 4. Excellent vid. Thanks for the tips!

It was quite frequent for me to get into a team with hacker who placed mines all over the place, and yet most of the times that didn't stop zeds from breaching in and killing the tech dude, I honestly don't know why the hackers do that when it doesn't help. I did my best with CLEO Shotgun at least but last time I ran out of ammo, really like how that CLEO SMG is a modified MP5 but that gun is quite useless against armored zeds with the lowest damage...
I made it to round six solo and got the achievement walls breached first time in the sixth round tho about to go down. I had the radius spread mines behind the walls so I held off and people were finally joining. I held off and got a full squad. They came in clutch but now I wanna try this Solo strategy. I held my own up until that achievement then boom haha
The best way to do it co op you MUST co operate (mic’s are good but not mandatory) either get a collective pile of supply’s (outside or inside) or sort them into the chests and make sure you get those Cleo drops ASAP lastly and most critical (YOU ALL MUST WORK TOGETHER AS A TEAM AND SHARE AMMO AND SUPPLIES) when your playing like that it is an absolute blast of awesome fun
All right with these results i cant complain i wasnt breachless but I'm really doing this to not have to deal with hoarding assholes and still win and no matter what i did get first try solo win with no hoardbreaker npc's so i'll probably be doing this to get my cleo air drops and stuff i just finished all my legacy stuff on standard and i want to set up a long running base with cleo stuff formerly impossible and time consuming by the weeks due to the constant loses from assholes who cant seem to drop even a single cleo round but thanks to this very informative video i can crank some tunes slay some freaks and not rage from terrible teammates and feel like im standing at an impassable wall that was daybreak solo without the help of this video

For some reason, on multiplayer, I always lag and the zombies teleport hit me. My bullets sometimes don't hit the zombies either and go right through them. Good video tho! ^_^
The game is Peer to Peer. That means there are no servers for multiplayer. The host's gaming system is the server. So the clients will always have a tiny lag. If you host the game, you won't have any of the issues. The game will be smooth. So be the host the next time and turn on multiplayer to let other players in if you want to play with others.
No. This is with controller. You can see "RB" on top of the consumable items besides the mini-map all the time!! It is easy to aim if you use Blast rifle even with controller because of the wide cross-hair. But I missed several shots in this run anyway!!!
I lost on wave 7 because i was stupid enough not to heal the technician when he was with 1 HP. I got so pissed off and quit because it wasnt a regular zombie it was a goddamn feral that managed to slip through when I was repairing the wall.
I got this good with around 250 Daybreak victories... You don't need to play that much. Once you get your first victory, you will get that confidence and you will be able to win solo with very few breaches all the time. When you get more experience, you too will do breachless solo.

I love how great minds think alike, since I started this game, as a person who not only usually plays offline but enjoys it, I had to find a way to get good as I played SOD2 for maybe a month before going online, not by choice just had no internet, but it's Greta to see stuff we do on videos by people we don't know, I. Usually go right side just in front of postbox, what for zeds to spawn then go to lil tree, so more zeds spawn otherwise not as many do, theres a few sports just before the road, that I really wanna try hold just never have enough like minded players, I usually hold the right side solo and all 3 others struggle holding the left side, and I can go either side n be fine so it's not the side it's the players, I never kick or quit but I do have many times where I'm like what is this or these players doing lol, if you play with me and aren't being %110 silly we winning either way, but if you just running around being silly we dying slowly, had players just go afk behind defenses do some people eat n play minus the play or smth lol , still a great game with great people and is always interesting if not funny
@@SirGomez CLEO SMG holds 128 rounds. But the gun is too weak. It is more like a marshmallow gun. So it is better to unload them and use those 128 rounds on a powerful gun.

Headshots are preferred. But since I am using controller, I went for the belly since it is easy to aim. So this guide shows, we can make breachless solo even if we don't have good aim

Hey, man. I thought the self-destructive walls were kinda new. What a surprise when I saw it happening on your other solo daybreak guide in 7h wave. Do you know, how long it's happening? It's so annoying 😭 Also (and this I think you know), that happens because of bugged ferals that stay at back at end of the map where CLEO drops use to ... drop. They keep hitting the walls with their heads from there. I must confess I'm really sad that this bug exists for at least 10 months now and they simply don't talk about it
This bug is present since Daybreak has been added to the game. It will only end when the feral destroys the specific wall it is destroying or we kill the specific feral in the field.
The strats are meta! Totally have the skill for it just never thought of using those strats. And I didn’t realize the armored helmet after wave 6th tip. Nice!
Btw is there any accurate description or lore for all the CLEO stuff, especially with the crazy (but kinda let-us-down) ending for the Heartland DLC? Hopefully it's all gonna be addressed in SoD3 but still.
My advice, don’t bring Rocket Rod as the starter explosive. Use minefield, deploy them in front of Technician immediately after you spawn. That case you don’t need to worry about Ferals climbing over walls.
A Feral jumped over walls? just a single feral. Just shoot it from outside the walls. Not a big deal!! Why do you have to complicate it? Don't bring minefields for solo daybreaks. Remote rocket pods are the best explosive to kill juggs. Without it, a juggernaut will quickly breach the walls and make things worse. Of course it is easy to win even after breaches. But preventing breaches is better than planting mines for breaches! Minefields are only useful to contain the breach (not very effective anyway because armored zombies won't die when they step on it). But remote rocket pods will help you prevent breaches. I have over 250 Daybreak victories and 50+ of them are solo wins. I have tried all the guns and explosives in solo daybreaks won them (RTX weapons, CLEO pistol and all the remaining CLEO guns and explosives). After trying all the weapons and explosives, the easiest way to finish solo daybreaks was always Blast rifle + Remote rocket pods. Even if a player doesn't have remote rocket pods, bringing Remote grenades is better than bringing minefields for SOLO daybreaks. Because Juggernauts should be given first priority. Not the ferals that jump over the walls.

One of my favorite methods is staying on the field while everyone else defends the wall. That way I can fight juggernauts solo and keep them off the walls entirely
I just used this strategy and holy shit this made it absurdly easy, its kinda sad that its easier to do it solo than with a full team, I also expected the last wave to be WAY harder than it actually is.

Thank you for this guide. I'm able to solo Daybreak now. I had some breaches but doing it this way allows me to recover quickly. I typically use the CLEO Shotgun so the Blast Rifle Takes some getting used to with the dodging, but it can be done.
First try got to wave 6, once that became the average, I lost at 35 seconds on 7 because I blew the minefield too early while placing them during wave 5 because I was doing it while sprinting on pad. Tossed a few explosives by accident for good measure running behind the clock, then didn't grab the CLEO Shotgun for the last wave which would have saved me. I Blast rifled every juggernaut except the last one.
Once I did it just like you did and grabbed the Shotgun for Wave 7 it was easy. I had an earlier breach so I used the explosives early to recover but since the shotgun is basically my main, I can do it without them on 7. With some practice and fine tuning, I'm sure I can get the breach less no problem.

Edit: For the last wave I actually used the CLEO SMG, its huge mag size was very helpful in close quarters with the final juggs tbh,
The fact is, even if you use a whole clip of CLEO SMG against a Jugg, you won't be able to bring them down. It is so weak. The Juggs were probably brought down by those 2 NPCs.

Great play! Today I done all 148 achievements. This particular one was one of hardest, but it can be managed.Needs more practice, but it can be done. I always used shotgun as you did. Then blast rifle. Minefield against ferals.

Good run! With the extra time at the end you can run out into the field. There are usually 2-3 Ferals crouched out there. 3 more Prestige Points each!

An awesome thing about the CLEO Blast Rifle is that if you're close enough you can practically shoot through the helmet of the armored zombies.
The first time I play daybreak I say "This with 3 players its impossible" by the time, I did in 2 players but in solo issss insaaaaane
There is one more thing you should know. In Daybreak, the zombies count will vary depends on the number of players joined.
The zombie count will be same in solo/duo Daybreak. But in 3 and 4 player Daybreak, it will almost be doubled.
So solo and 3 player Daybreak is hard compared to 2 and 4 player Daybreak.
Duo Daybreak is the easiest. 4 player Daybreak is also easy. 3 player Daybreak is easy but slightly harder than 2 and 4 players Daybreak. Solo Daybreak is always hard.

I got it in solo. I quit in and out till both npcs were using hordebreaker. Got the "forgot my breaches" and "I was all alone" achievements together 💕😊

I am working on a Solo Daybreak guide without using any CLEO starting gear. It is only with RTX weapons. It will be useful for the people who have not unlocked any CLEO weapons.
Have won few games only with RTX weapons. But have not perfected the strategy yet.

I actually leave the middle gate open, it makes them come in one arena. The juggernauts don’t come in the middle, while they coming from the sides I let the NPCS take care the remaining zombies

Was a pretty solid guide been adapting it to my play style/learning how to play like this, I still get breaches (only on wave 5) 6/7 tend to be fine for some weird reason maybe I am doing something wrong who knows, regardless I don't die and always seems to be pretty solid so good job keep it up my man earned a sub.
Daybreak has a lot of bugs. With all those bugs, it is hard to win breachless solo.
But are you able to win solo all the time when following this Strategy??
@@StateofDecayScience At first it wasn't working out (probably on my own accord/fault I only recently started playing this game again) I owned it when it came out but never really got into it until about 2-3 weeks ago, regardless now I do not seem to fail unless I really cock up. As said in wave 5 is where my only breaches seem to happen and when you get the 4 minefields I actually put 2 around the tech which still works out fine it allows me to ignore ferals and let them just die to mines inside, of course that can still happen when you lay it outside. But I am gonna try that version aka yours of the minefields see if it makes it easier
overall yes it is pretty much a 99.99% win unless a real bad cockup happens.
Do you have any tips for multiplayer? Like I sometimes play with randoms but I tried to use a similar strat in multi of course does not work gotta split ammo etc, is melee more useful etc?

7th wave is usually easier than 5th and 6th waves because 7th wave is mostly Juggernauts and they can be killed easily
In the last 30 seconds of the round I ran out of ammo and 2 juggernauts broke through the walls 😂

awesome guide man! never seen a technician behave so well on daybreak. i can solo daybreak but with the help of luck. i always get breached in later rounds and my tech usually dies coz i always get tempted to throw that flamebombs thingy while there is poison gas around or near the tech. but thanks for your insight on the proper way of soloing its smooth af man!
edit: i hope there were timestamps for each round so i can accurately jump through specific parts to study where i made mistakes on my solo run. thank you

Shhot this is insane. I only made it to wave 5 twice using explosives with multiple breaches. I had to play like 8 times to get enough prestige to recruit a red talon in campaign. Im no where near as good a shot as you but I’m trying this tomorrow😂

Undead Labs really should give us double prestige weekends. I mean winning gives you 2000 prestige but only few people win daybreak.

My juggernauts never acted like that, every one of em came in charging, and most were plague juggs.
Besides that, I think if I get some better inventory management, obviously that blast rifle and Cleo shotgun, I can prob make it past round 4.

It was quite frequent for me to get into a team with hacker who placed mines all over the place, and yet most of the times that didn't stop zeds from breaching in and killing the tech dude, I honestly don't know why the hackers do that when it doesn't help. I did my best with CLEO Shotgun at least but last time I ran out of ammo, really like how that CLEO SMG is a modified MP5 but that gun is quite useless against armored zeds with the lowest damage...

That is exactly plant vs zombies easter egg. It has been in the game since release. There are ton of other easter eggs present in the game too.
I made it to round six solo and got the achievement walls breached first time in the sixth round tho about to go down. I had the radius spread mines behind the walls so I held off and people were finally joining. I held off and got a full squad. They came in clutch but now I wanna try this Solo strategy. I held my own up until that achievement then boom haha

The best way to do it co op you MUST co operate (mic’s are good but not mandatory) either get a collective pile of supply’s (outside or inside) or sort them into the chests and make sure you get those Cleo drops ASAP lastly and most critical (YOU ALL MUST WORK TOGETHER AS A TEAM AND SHARE AMMO AND SUPPLIES) when your playing like that it is an absolute blast of awesome fun

All right with these results i cant complain i wasnt breachless but I'm really doing this to not have to deal with hoarding assholes and still win and no matter what i did get first try solo win with no hoardbreaker npc's so i'll probably be doing this to get my cleo air drops and stuff i just finished all my legacy stuff on standard and i want to set up a long running base with cleo stuff formerly impossible and time consuming by the weeks due to the constant loses from assholes who cant seem to drop even a single cleo round but thanks to this very informative video i can crank some tunes slay some freaks and not rage from terrible teammates and feel like im standing at an impassable wall that was daybreak solo without the help of this video

For some reason, on multiplayer, I always lag and the zombies teleport hit me. My bullets sometimes don't hit the zombies either and go right through them. Good video tho! ^_^
The game is Peer to Peer. That means there are no servers for multiplayer. The host's gaming system is the server. So the clients will always have a tiny lag.
If you host the game, you won't have any of the issues. The game will be smooth. So be the host the next time and turn on multiplayer to let other players in if you want to play with others.
Your aim is so nice and steady it seemed like you were using a mouse. Maybe you did?
No. This is with controller. You can see "RB" on top of the consumable items besides the mini-map all the time!!
It is easy to aim if you use Blast rifle even with controller because of the wide cross-hair. But I missed several shots in this run anyway!!!

You don't need to play that much. Once you get your first victory, you will get that confidence and you will be able to win solo with very few breaches all the time. When you get more experience, you too will do breachless solo.

I love how great minds think alike, since I started this game, as a person who not only usually plays offline but enjoys it, I had to find a way to get good as I played SOD2 for maybe a month before going online, not by choice just had no internet, but it's Greta to see stuff we do on videos by people we don't know, I. Usually go right side just in front of postbox, what for zeds to spawn then go to lil tree, so more zeds spawn otherwise not as many do, theres a few sports just before the road, that I really wanna try hold just never have enough like minded players, I usually hold the right side solo and all 3 others struggle holding the left side, and I can go either side n be fine so it's not the side it's the players, I never kick or quit but I do have many times where I'm like what is this or these players doing lol, if you play with me and aren't being %110 silly we winning either way, but if you just running around being silly we dying slowly, had players just go afk behind defenses do some people eat n play minus the play or smth lol , still a great game with great people and is always interesting if not funny

@@SirGomez CLEO SMG holds 128 rounds. But the gun is too weak. It is more like a marshmallow gun. So it is better to unload them and use those 128 rounds on a powerful gun.

Headshots are preferred. But since I am using controller, I went for the belly since it is easy to aim.

This bug is present since Daybreak has been added to the game.
It will only end when the feral destroys the specific wall it is destroying or we kill the specific feral in the field.

My advice, don’t bring Rocket Rod as the starter explosive. Use minefield, deploy them in front of Technician immediately after you spawn. That case you don’t need to worry about Ferals climbing over walls.
A Feral jumped over walls? just a single feral. Just shoot it from outside the walls. Not a big deal!! Why do you have to complicate it?
Don't bring minefields for solo daybreaks. Remote rocket pods are the best explosive to kill juggs. Without it, a juggernaut will quickly breach the walls and make things worse. Of course it is easy to win even after breaches. But preventing breaches is better than planting mines for breaches!
Minefields are only useful to contain the breach (not very effective anyway because armored zombies won't die when they step on it). But remote rocket pods will help you prevent breaches.
I have over 250 Daybreak victories and 50+ of them are solo wins. I have tried all the guns and explosives in solo daybreaks won them (RTX weapons, CLEO pistol and all the remaining CLEO guns and explosives).
After trying all the weapons and explosives, the easiest way to finish solo daybreaks was always Blast rifle + Remote rocket pods.
Even if a player doesn't have remote rocket pods, bringing Remote grenades is better than bringing minefields for SOLO daybreaks. Because Juggernauts should be given first priority. Not the ferals that jump over the walls.

What's the reason for there not being a 3rd defending NPC? In Multiplayer there is 4 people total defending.
