I swear I heard somewhere on Twitter that Purin was supposed to be a much more cinematic experience. It wouldn’t just be pico and jigglypuff singing in the pokecenter hall, it would be like playing through a full song-long cutscene experience If only that was that case, this does make purin so much cooler of an experience though, I will say. @@scoundral2995 I asked the person who is restoring the cut content and they said its all up to if they can get a hold of the background sprites (Nurse Joy, Backgrounds mons etc..), no amount of passion will actually be able to restore it unless they're able to get the sprites
I think the only thing missing from this was Nurse Joy because I think there was supposed to be a whole cutscene with her which explains why she looks so much different in the Pokedex

Such a cool detail during the reverse section: the icon’s bouncing on the health bar starts bouncing in reverse too! It’s like the song was suddenly set to a negative BPM, but it might’ve been custom-programmed to do that, in which case it’s an incredible detail to add! I just wish that the song timer at the top started moving backwards too at that part, but honestly this is just so cool as it is!
I kinda realize looking at jiggly the entire time, his right pose looks at us at the end of his note sometimes, though only a slight turn, kind of a red flag that he's aware of the player's presence prior to 2:12
Another mechanic i was thinking for this song and some people passed is that: Remember the pokedex desc of purin? The part that said its sing is way more stronger than usual, maybe adding the difficulty based on that Each time purin turn or each note they use, it drains instantly the bar to almost dead, leaving pico to one miss to lose, that would be accurate
I hope the original vision for this song is realized some day. The one where Pico falls asleep from Purin singing and his ghost keeps rapping to keep Purin's attention on him and keeping Purin from doing the same thing to the viewer playing the game.

When Purin started singing front facing, i legitimately started to feel drowsy. Mainly because it was 12:00 AM and i hadn't slept yet, but still, pretty spoopy.
Some things I noticed during the “battle.” -Looking at the body of Nurse Joy in the back, even though her body is in shadow it looks like her lower half is missing, possibly even gnawed off. -The painting behind Pico has a shadow figure resembling Jigglypuff but with a red ‘X’ crossing it out. -Claw marks behind Purin. Maybe Purin has another more sinister form? -The faces of Purin; several hands and skulls trapped inside of it, perhaps those souls it has defeated and absorbed? A look of regret, like it is conflicted and regrets what it is doing? Eyes and teeth askew, hinting at something far more sinister lurking within it; a demon perhaps? -Perhaps Purin is attracted to the immense pain someone or something feels at the time, and when innocent bystanders come across it Purin warns them off lest they be joining Nurse Joy in swinging in the centre.
I think I remember it saying somewhere that purin takes the souls of children to try to bring the nurse back to life, the skulls inside of it are from the children
i like how it sounds in my opinion that purin (jigglypuff) acts as the backround music at 2:39 also when pico says "go pico" it gives me a feeling that pico is trying to encourage himself to fight purin

I kinda want to know more about purin lore because of one thing. I installed pokemon red as a rom to play on school on my phone. When I went to the pokemon center on the city where's Brock's gym (I forgot the city name) At the pokemon center there was some npcs and a jigglypuff. When I interacted with that jigglypuff,I would hear a sweet tune (aka the jigglypuff's song but in 8 bit) I really liked it. When i was watching the purin song gameplay I realized something... Purin is probably that jigglypuff I saw on the game that i was playing... 😱😱😱
No offense here, but I’m kind of glad this song wasn’t finished. From what I’ve read, it was supposed to be FAR more disturbing and gruesome, I find it ironic what we have already set off alarms in a lot of people. To be honest yeah but at the same time no- I actually like feeling terror for these mods for once Ones miss the hole point and end up looking goofy or others are meh But this one hit the spot Dark Quiet (until the song starts) Unerving from just the implications of the shadows and craw marks (makes your mind wonder *what happened?* ) All of it is well made wish we could of seen from this horror show

this isn't actually even fully finished, Purin is meant so use sing on Pico before it turns to the player, Pico falls asleep and he has his little Garcello-style soul thingy that he uses to sing since he himself is asleep, and theres meant to be a bunch of gen 1 pokemon in the same style as Purin after the camera pans back.
There was an used concept for where purin..puts pico to sleep possibly killing em turns to us to do the same. thing but pico would appear as a ghost to stop purin from doing again the same thing to us. That unused turning animation in the video is meant for that.
The fact that the kid whose survived (and facilitated) multiple school shootings seems *DEEPLY* unsettled by this kinda speaks to the character FNF has been turning Pico into in my opinion , taken him from being a sort of obscure goofy ass character with MAC-10’s (THEY ARE MAC-10’s, NOT UZI’S, YOU CANNOT TELL ME OTHERWISE) who seemingly was meant to be left behind in a forgotten chapter of childhood history, only to be brought back for a little more fun in a handful of FNF mods. This… this kinda emotion seems ridiculous to a certain extent considering what a kind of character Pico was, and technically still is… if anything, it kinda humanizes the kid.
The part where jiggly puff faces the player is terrifying and it’s very rare for mods to do that now a days… Which is kinda disappointing because you wanted more scars outta that but again I’m not trying to get people angry with the way I’m targeting Hypnos mod.
There is still things missing like purin singing normally sprites and also the other dead pokemons apearring in the background after the reverse part and also after the reverse part pico turns into a ghost and also his idle pose after leaving his body ghost pico has its sprite
i honestly would have wanted a mechanic where the notes appeared backwards and the notes were just gonna manifest in and out of existence and u have to hit them before the manifest out of existence.
Fun fact: the reason jigglypuff turns to you and sings in reverse is because in a video which is lavender town backwards it is seen staring at the viewer

I like the fact that Pico is just casually hanging out in an abandoned Pokémon Center with a hanged body swinging in the background and he isn't phased in the slightest.

I kinda want to know more about purin lore because of one thing. I installed pokemon red as a rom to play on school on my phone. When I went to the pokemon center on the city where's Brock's gym (I forgot the city name) At the pokemon center there was some npcs and a jigglypuff. When I interacted with that jigglypuff,I would hear a sweet tune (aka the jigglypuff's song but in 8 bit) I really liked it. When i was watching the purin song gameplay I realized something... Purin is probably that jigglypuff I saw on the game that i was playing... 😱😱😱
No offense here, but I’m kind of glad this song wasn’t finished. From what I’ve read, it was supposed to be FAR more disturbing and gruesome, I find it ironic what we have already set off alarms in a lot of people. I mean, the game over screen was enough to keep me up at night, could we handle more…? I know I probably couldn’t. Hahah.

Fun fact: the name "Purin" is actually jigglypuff in Japanese
this isn't actually even fully finished, Purin is meant so use sing on Pico before it turns to the player, Pico falls asleep and he has his little Garcello-style soul thingy that he uses to sing since he himself is asleep, and theres meant to be a bunch of gen 1 pokemon in the same style as Purin after the camera pans back.
I feel like that Jigglypuff doesn't want to be evil, it's just depressed about having to kill people

There was an used concept for where purin..puts pico to sleep possibly killing em turns to us to do the same. thing but pico would appear as a ghost to stop purin from doing again the same thing to us. That unused turning animation in the video is meant for that.
The fact that the kid whose survived (and facilitated) multiple school shootings seems *DEEPLY* unsettled by this kinda speaks to the character FNF has been turning Pico into in my opinion , taken him from being a sort of obscure goofy ass character with MAC-10’s (THEY ARE MAC-10’s, NOT UZI’S, YOU CANNOT TELL ME OTHERWISE) who seemingly was meant to be left behind in a forgotten chapter of childhood history, only to be brought back for a little more fun in a handful of FNF mods. This… this kinda emotion seems ridiculous to a certain extent considering what a kind of character Pico was, and technically still is… if anything, it kinda humanizes the kid.
Does anyone know what the story behind purin is? Is it just another evil spirit, or is there some lore behind it?

There is still things missing like purin singing normally sprites and also the other dead pokemons apearring in the background after the reverse part and also after the reverse part pico turns into a ghost and also his idle pose after leaving his body ghost pico has its sprite
