Bravo! Who gave this presentation? If only he could have spoken a bit slower. I had to pause and rewind a couple of times because he was touching on very significant points of Hegel's theory of Rights. You see, the best part of having this TH-cam channel is that it is just like when reading a serious text, one can stop and contemplate what is being said.

Thank you for this. You wouldn't happen still to have on file a talk titled 'Heidegger and Hegel on the synthetic a priori' given Catherine Malabou? (I was watching it the day your old channel was taken down, youtube reloaded and puf! gone. I can't find a transcript either, so perhaps I have the title wrong).
The dynamic quality of a pack of dogs might be equivalent to a person, so comparing a single dog in the property rights example seems unfair. What property rights anyway, except for that dynamic quality and a certain topological arrangement that is widely shared. The waves of energy moving thru this topology are rectified into objects by the built in limits. Another limit to an essential dynamism, starting from the cross, two opposing sets. One set contracts which causes the other, orthogonal set to expand, and vice versa. The limit here is hard to see, but I think the topological arrangement is being, and the material body I see is moving that has been rectified. So as a person, when I see a green plant the shape is approximated while the spectrum of color is accurate, but that green is not offered by the plant and I don't take it, because that perception is that energy surplus to the plant. Not taking and giving right to ownership, only observing and allowing, with the grace of the surplus in the exchange. The dog pack has this topology of the individual, embedded in the topology of the ecosystem sensory dashboard: human individuals are trying to form a pack out of context, for more power to restrict the planet topology or ecosystem thru noise, smell, fencing. The grass family is also doing this in a less obvious way inside the "pack, flock or herd" of the person, and the opposing sets here might be ruminants and grass, humans and non-human primates and trees. Humans consuming grass caused stress which was good for evolving the brain since it supplied surplus food which was mostly digestible, but when as a group became more efficient in producing that, and the drugs needed to overcome the loss of vitality, and the control of government for that fear and mistrust, the human bully needs a scapegoat. Humanity eventually becomes the scapegoat whereupon leaders are hung or their heads chopped off on this cultural dashboard. The ugly right to ownership manifesting on a few levels there. Thanks for the video!

This was a really good lecture that just nosedived at the end.
This is dense but gold.
Awesome! The Hegel run has been terrific. Thanks PO!
Extremely good lecture.

It was given by someone named Jonathan Hand, who unfortunately died shortly afterwards.
@@Philosophy_Overdose Oh, sad to hear that . Thanks for uploading this above, he was good at reading Hegel IMHO.

I think it may be here: backdoorbroadcasting.net/2013/05/catherine-malabou-hegel-on-synthetic-a-priori-judgments/
+1 on that request, and anything that connects Hegel & Heidegger.

I prefer it when people don't write down their talks down beforehand and read them out.

Thanks for the video!
Hegel looks like the creepiest uncle you could imagine.
does Jonathan hand use his hand a lot? I bet he does
