I really think that if a property is empty for more than five ,ten years ,and no relatives can be found ,the government should be aloud to take them over .They could preserve the antiques ,and perhaps sell the paintings ,and give any profit to charity .It is so sad to see someone's life work to go to waste .
The artist was there while you were exploring. I think the toy was his way of telling you that he appreciates the visit and the interest you show in his art and talent. This way he is not forgotten. Either that or some animal hit the button and it went off. I prefer to think it was his way of communicating with you. You do important work and maybe someone will connect with you to save this place from further decay. It's a museum.
People who don’t live according to society’s rules, I find very interesting. As long as they harm no one, why shouldn’t they live the way they choose. This was an amazing exploration- your videos are fantastic! Thanks a bunch for bringing me along! 😊❤ Oh- as far as rumors, they say there’s only a small part of rumors that are true. But don’t they make such interesting intriguing stories! 😉😊 The attic - all those drawings and paintings, those came from his mind! I would’ve loved to sat and talked with him for an hour or two. 🙃
I’ve never seen so many paintings in one place. Someone needs to remove them and put in a museum. This is a REAL Shame. Thank you for documenting this. Things decay and fall apart but when you film them it keeps them alive. ❤ 41:52
Oh Dave read please. This just got exciting in the end😉 The painting of the boy w/candle if you were an artist would know it's amazing to see someone else paint it. The original artist was Pier Germani, the Italian artist. Germani was famous for his children paintings. The trouble painting , the one on the left is Rembrandt, the center possibly the father after he passed as the blackened eyes represents absence. The painting on the right is one that helped make Brandon Soloff the famous New York artist, famous. Well, along with his nudes as well. Most amazing artist! So maybe Soloff an this artist were friends.. wait! The photo of the owner and another together actually looks like Soloff! Soloff is also based in Lyon, France as well as NY. Oh it's a connection! So tell me if this all sounds like I've solved a bit of a mystery? And if you go back into history you'll find there are connections to this artist having a family tree of artists. Sweet!
THIS is why your youtube work is so important. These people die...and in some cases, like this one, they can be dead for months, or even years, and they don't even have a soul checking on them. YOU bring their story back to life...even if only for a little bit. They were people...they mattered. And I love how respectful you are as you tell the story of their life through your video. Because without somebody's words-there is no story. And then it feels so pointless....so thank you for what you are doing. I think it is SO important.
Love this!!! Poor guy, he was sick and needed help maybe. We never know what people are going through....and so many people are struggling with things. Awesome new video and love you guys!! xx
Dave this was a wonderful explore and great video. I love how respectful you are and how loving your heart is. You are a good man and enjoy watching you explore because of how you respect the home and the people of the home you are in. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us and I pray someone will preserve that poor gentleman's beautiful life's work. His artwork was incredible. ❤
As an artist myself his abstract work looked phenomenally good and should be saved..I wonder if there is some way of finding the nearest town or village to this location you visited and contacting the mayor or council to tell them of this wonderful collection of work..I am sure it would not be too difficult to do..just an idea.
I really find your videos to be so peaceful. Not only do you capture these time capsules in such a way... its also very relaxing - sort of ASMR'ish lol. Thanks for what you do.
you explore for the same reason i watch you: a story that needs to be told. Thank you for bringing us these finds! What a gem and yet a shame, being a student of the arts, I admire what youve found! Amazing! Thank you!!
I’ve watched videos much like this where the person was an artist. None like this one. He surrounded himself with his work more than he sold it from the feel. It’s like a peek into his psyche. He was definitely a medium mutt as I call it. Meaning he creates art from everything and puts his heart into his creations. (Like I do) To a certain extent, I think when I pass away, my surroundings will probably be like this. I loved your walk through but wanted you to linger a bit more in certain areas lol. Well done and the happiest of birthday to you. Have a virtual round on me!! 🍸🥃🍹🍻🧉🥂🍷🍺🍾🫖
Great video. Also very sad and poignant. A very stark reality check to many of us. The material things that matter to us are really nothing when we are gone. As the old saying goes 'you can't take it with you.'
I wish someone could tell me, why can't these things be saved before they rot?! 🤔 It makes no sense to me. Thank you for documenting this home. 💜❤️💜❤️😉
as an artist this place is fabulous .. how sad we cant save all his work... id love to have a place like this... thank you for the wonderful explore you stay safe! much love from a fan in eastern oregon
You are one of the very few abandoned explorers who go above and beyond. I can just feel how passionate you are about this. Thank you so much Dave for this most amazing and heartfelt video I have watched in a while. btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY🎂❤️💕
My late mother was a single mom, a struggling artist and raised me an only child the best she could. She told me once that your never noticed until your gone. I have one picture she painted of a horse that my grandmother gave me before she died. There is a picture my mother painted of Indian's on the Pascagoula river in town hall in Moss point, Ms. That she ONLY was paid $200.00 for in 1974. So yes.. I always believed her.😊❤️🐇
That was quite the amazing place but what I really like is you at the end narrating a little bit about the place I think you should do that with every video
this story is similar to the famous Bates Hotel movie, he too was obsessed with his mother. You said you didnt want to give away the address of this place for fear it would get trashed... i think its a bit too late for that. looks like a lot of explorers or just curious have been there trashing and looking for something of value. this guy sure loved painting. Its not to my taste, but plenty of others would love his work. thanks for showing us another great explore, in France.
Dave, this is one of your best videos. Incredible! The art work, omg. It makes me so sad to see this. All the antiques just going to ruin. How you do this....I do not know, but keep it up, please.
Great explore Dave, this place has a lot to say about the electic lifestyle he lived with his parents. It is too bad that no one will or can save the paintings there. They could sell all the paintings and use that to fund the restoration of the building itself. It would take a while but would be worth it in the end. Have a great day.
I admire your respect for people’s homes. I love the way Mother Nature takes back what once belonged to her. I have much respect for you and what you do. Thank you for sharing the beauty.
I love how excited you are describing how much you love exploring & because of your passion we get to see some amazing houses. I can't believe how much art work there is just abandoned. Found Poppy on the stairs lol. Watching from Chesterfield, Derbyshire @ 18:30 xx
Wow! What an unusual place with so much artwork. I love how caring you are about everywhere you visit and I love how you recreate the life of this guy who lived here. That clown toy making the noise was kinds weird, maybe the guy was watching u and wanted to let you know his spirit is still there. Keep up the brilliant explores Dave and stay safe xx
Doesn't look like anyone had respect for this place. His artwork is surrounded by junk. 🙃🤣 I'm sure whatever ancestors passed this down to someone, are rolling over in their graves over the neglect of it. Plain rude. So sad.
Why do you think that I ' ' quoted the word junk ? It's sarcasm. I could see his treasures. Old is treasured in some countries and cultures. In others, it's left abandoned. My home is filled with 'junk' 😘@user-uw5my3xm1j
Even the art he collected is outstanding. His work is a reflection of his beautiful, disturbed mind, Very driven and a lover of bright colors! Maybe someone can make an an anonymous call to a museum to have art authorities check it out. Thanks, Dave. Another great find.
That was an incredible house full of wonderful treasures - what an amazingly talented man. You said you filmed this a year or two ago - do you think any of these things could have been saved? So, so sad that a life's work is just left abandoned and unloved. Gill 🇬🇧
So very sad to see all the beautiful painting decaying. so many memories left behind, photos of family members and friends just to rot away. Saw poppy at 26:44. Awesome video Stay Safe. Love all your exploring adventures. Take Care ❤X
I remember this Dave but it’s still nice to see it again ,what a weirded man .The art an books ornaments are amazing, enjoyed it dave stay safe lv Ann uk ❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧
This was such an amazing find. When you were up in the loft, I had this deja vu vibe goin on like I’d seen this place before when you were up in the loft amongst all those tables with all of that artwork. Loved it when you bent down and said about imagining the window open and you’re drawing. That’s something you are so darn great at doing. Loved your duck on the stairs, had it not been red, I wouldn’t have known. That toy going off across the room, that really made me uneasy, so creepy. Thank you for sharing and as always, stay safe ❤
ahh that was one of your best finds dave .fasinating stuff he had there i would love to know his personality thanks again for showing this video i love what you do ..
I remember that toy it freaked me out lol after that long noo way it should have worked much less gone off on its own like that, i will say he led a very strange life lol but as long as he was happy lol its sad to see his work just rotting away like that wow, thank you again dave !
It is so sad that all those drawings, paintings, etc., are just left there to rot. I would love to have some of those pieces. What a sad shame, but thank you for taking the time to show it to the world. God Bless! 😮😢❤
This was my favorite place ever! Such a shame it is all just being ruined. Why would no one preserve all that work? You did a great job, absolutely loved this video. 👏
I’ve seen this lovely house before... how heartbreaking to end your life and nobody wants to save your art, your old home, everything that mattered to you! 🥺 The handwritten book you showed has several entries starting with “chers parents”... “dear parents”, followed by descriptions of what little things he did that day: it looks like the kind of letters kids in boarding school would write to their parents. 😕
I have never got an uneasy feeling from any of your videos. That is until now. The very moment you stepped across the threshold I got this odd feeling that something just is not right in that house.
I saw the cute little duck at 26:44 on the stairs, it made me smile that was fun! This place was amazing I really wish I could do what you do it makes me so happy to see this through your eyes.
Wow incredible place, so much fantastic art. Such a shame it all just sits to rot. Thankyou for sharing and allowing us to see this very eclectic talented man's work..✌

4956 I saw your duck. Such a beautiful home. It's so sad that on your exploring that all this stuff just rotting away. I so love you taking me along on your adventures. Love you loads be safe. Hi Marky. 💕
Hi Dave, you are a very good explorer and I find myself watching more and more of your videos. The amount of art in there was mind-blowing and I totally agree with you about the lack of relatives taking care of it 😪
Wow such amazing Art work! Such a shame that it's all sitting there rotting to the elements. Dave you do such an amazing job with all your explores and you tell such an amazing story with all. He was letting you know that he was with you, when the toy played. So sad how he was found. What an incredible artist he was. I love all of your videos. Thanks for all of your explores, I always look forward to watching them . Keep up the amazing work! Stay safe out there ❤
Very prolific artist.Felt he was showing you about. He even pressed the button on the toy clown to make his presence known.Happy birthday.Stay safe look after yourself .Thankyou.
Hi Dave, this was a great video, what a shame it is that his paintings are being eaten away by mother nature. I saw a few strange things as I was watching, I need to go back and look again, that toy going off was creepy for sure. Thanks for showing us. Love from N.Y.
Absolutely brilliant WELL DONE you have a beautiful soul so much compassion to the people who are no longer living in these abandoned buildings that were once filled with laughter and happiness and love it's sad to see everything just decaying Bless you 🙏 and your team 🙏✌️🙏☮️💖❤️
This is an amazing exploration!!!!! A bit creepy, along with beauty. I'm going to have to watch it over and over so I can catch everything. The toy that just started playing by itself!!!!! Make sure you put the chain back on that door!!! Thanks for taking us along. ❤
What a fabulous place and much respect to how you present it !! showing respect for the previous owners belongings!! We wont be seeing you wearing their cloths for laughs and likes. Bless yi !! good man.
All of these back stories of these places, hearsay makes great stories but are they true? Always great content though and amazing places you find. I remember seeing you explore this place before and have seen others explore it. All the artwork is amazing :)
Much apreichete this explore yes it's sad to see the artwork just sitting there in rumbblys so wish it to fall in good hands as u have passed up many valuable items like the jade elephants...keep up with the good work i do look forward to your other explors 😊

I assume they pay land rates in France, so someone must be paying them, perhaps the house is still in probate or something.
I’ve thought the same thing about a lot of the abandoned homes. I really wish they could find a use/purpose for these beautiful places.

All of these back stories of these places, hearsay makes great stories but are they true? Always great content though and amazing places you find. I remember seeing you explore this place before and have seen others explore it. All the artwork is amazing :)
I saw this years ago and that toy was making music then.
