That football season by Lynn Bowden will be one of the all time underrated seasons for an athlete. Not many players could have done what he did, shameful he got no heisman recognition
I love Benny, Levis, Allen, Woodson, Yeast, Couch... But that season by Bowden... Teams KNEW what UK was doing and STILL couldn't stop him. LBJ not being invited to the Heisman conversation was CRIMINAL.
I love this man and would take his faults over most anyone else's. Big, loud and hot-blooded, I could see him being here thirty years until he dies an old man screaming on the sidelines. He coaches with his heart on his sleeve and it gets players to do the same. That's why we wanted it more against Louisville, and why we wanted it more against Florida. People forget the win in Neyland a few years ago, which was the last game with Coach Schlarman. I hope the program begins to recognize the tradition that has been born in the last decade, and we start feeling our history a little more.
Honorable mention is that beat down in Knoxville. That was such a satisfying win. Especially since it had been 30 plus years since they’d won on that field.
Benny is my fav UK player ever.... but I probably would have swapped #1 & #2. Beating Florida was by far the biggest crowning moment for the program under Stoops.

Ppl will never give him the credit he truly deserves for saving a yr that was deemed to be doomed
That season could’ve been even better had they moved to the WildLynn earlier.
Definitely one of my favorite seasons to watch

he won a game while only attempting 2 throws
Winning the bowl game by throwing a Td pass was icing on the cake to a fun season
Thanks for staying, Coach Stoops.
He didnt have a choice. We didnt want his punk ass!
some great names in there, Josh Allen, Benny Snell, Levis, C-Rod, WanDale,...
I know 2023 was disappointing but this video should make every Kentucky fan appreciate what Coach Stoops has done!!!
Beating Loserville sort of made up for it, plus we’re still going bowling.

I was at that Florida game in 2021, probably one of the best UK football games of all time.
