I've been talking about this for a long time. The whole world flooded, burned and dried up except the Nordic countries. Even if there is space, we will not be able to maintain the same standard of living if the population increases tenfold. Living in Finland is a privilege, but for how long.

I believe in climate change. We used to have snow every christmas and now we don't. My icycle wreath now always looks stupid the last few years. When I was a child we were jealous of the people in california and Florida. Now we just think that they have got to be miserable with all that heat. There's nothing to be jealous of anymore. Were hotter this summer in Michigan, and the heat is nothing to admire. I only wish we had the summers we used to like Finland has for now. 💔 Kathi

I don't think Finland can support much bigger population. Afterall agricultural production is what limited Finnish population in the past. Even if it gets warmer, there still won't be any more sunlight.

i am not saying that climate is not warming, but it is always amazing that they compare it to 1850 temperatures as start, 1866 - 1868 about 8% of Finns died because climate was too cold and harvest of food failed miserably. So they have taken lower than average as start point.

Weather and climate are two different thinks. The famine causing cold weather was an European weather event. There has been similar cold spells later like 1939-1941. The localised cold event is ussually balanced by heat wave in a different part of world.
On other hand climate is global heat balance which has strong influence to local weather events. But influence is complicated because many different mechanisms affect local weather events.
But start years is logical. It is the first time when fairly reliable measurements has been recorded globally. But accuracy has been improving over time. There was still huge difference between measurements about 60 years ago and now.

Industrialization is the main problem.Even we face severe heat and extremely cold.no sustainable temperature is maintained.we need to reduce carbon emissions as 0% .otherwise our cities will not be there in future may b in 2100.I think every one has to think about this.plant more trees and save life
