I think some of the electronic voting machines scribble the votes onto SD memory cards, that are occasionally taken to a tabulator machine to tally the count. The SD cards are then erased recycled. A recount in those districts just means looking at the totals and saying, "yep, there it is, that's the count". In those districts, a partisan voting official could simply erase some cards to skew the vote. I don't know if that happened, but it has always been a possibility with those kinds of machines. There's no paper "till roll" to audit or recount. What they ought to do is use as many new cards as necessary, give them all unique numbers, and not recycle ANY at all. And make sure each card used is blank and not pre-stuffed with bogus votes...

I think some of the electronic voting machines scribble the votes onto SD memory cards, that are occasionally taken to a tabulator machine to tally the count. The SD cards are then erased recycled. A recount in those districts just means looking at the totals and saying, "yep, there it is, that's the count". In those districts, a partisan voting official could simply erase some cards to skew the vote. I don't know if that happened, but it has always been a possibility with those kinds of machines. There's no paper "till roll" to audit or recount.
What they ought to do is use as many new cards as necessary, give them all unique numbers, and not recycle ANY at all. And make sure each card used is blank and not pre-stuffed with bogus votes...
