These two guys got scammed for $300. The scammer picked an address out of thin air and told them that was the address for the PHONY JOB. But that does not absolve them of the fact that they were NOT hired by the property owner to replace her driveway.
Actually, the scammEE - regarding the $300 - are the defendants. Unfortunately, they destroyed the plaintiff's driveway and are responsible for fixing it or paying to have it fixed.

When she tried to talk to them they jumped in their truck and sped off. Luckily, a neighbor got the business name on the truck. Turns out they were supposed to be doing work on the house down the block. She had to threaten them with court before they would fix her roof.😂
This is a classic phishing scam. How the business owners didn’t realize they were getting scammed is beyond me. A legitimate customer doesn’t ask you to wire money to prove you’re legitimate.
