    Thank you so much. May I ask, now you have used them longer do you have more thoughts about layering, blending etc? And different papers? Do you like them more than poly or prisma? So sorry for the questions!! And thank you so much for the wonderful review!

    We need to know what the color actually is. By not using a harder pressure on all colors we are only seeing a tint of those hues. Really not the info that is complete either in terms of beauty or economics. Don't mean to be critical and I apologize if I appear to be . But I wanted to share my perspective. Doing a good review is going to take time .

      Hi Alicia. Thanks for your input. In my opinion, these pencils work better with layers. I didn’t layer all 120 colors, for time’s sake. With that said, I plan on doing a more in depth review after using these pencils for awhile (as, I believe, I mentioned in the video), so I’ll keep that in mind.

    The stickers go on the out side of the tin so you'll know which set it is. All tins from caran dache are the same red.

      Hi Ellen! That’s what I figured but I wasn’t 100% sure. Thank you for the clarification.

    Love your videos ❤
    I have a question:
    I am currently in the process of buying a bigger colored pencil set- and I want to decide between the carandache pablo set of 120 and the Derwent lightfast set of 100
    What would you personally think?
    Do you love the Pablos so much as you did when you bought them?
    And Do you think I shall choose the pablos or the Lightfasts?
    (The price and which are more lightfast is not really important- its much more important which are the better colored pencils 😅)

      Hi Carol! I think I do as well. I just colored a picture with them, and I loved how they laid down! Hoping to do a more thorough review in the near future!

    The pencils are actually wax based…it says it on the cardboard sleeve of the tin

    • @ColoringwithKatie
      @ColoringwithKatie  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! You’re right, it does say that on cardboard sleeve, which is where I got confused. However, I did do a little bit of research, and found this article (www.theartgearguide.com/home/caran-dache-pablo-review). According to the article, The company stated that the Pablo are oil based pencils (Paragraph 9). In my opinion, they’re definitely on the drier/harder side than any wax based pencil I’ve ever used. So, I could agree with the “oil-based” statement that the company claims. But, everyone has their own opinion as to how a pencil “feels” so even though I think it feels like an oil based pencil, not everyone will agree. And that’s totally ok. 😊
