Insane how much these stores put in the dumpster instead of donating it. Those mystery boxes seem to be tossed because an employee didn’t want to stock the shelves.

There are so many people who don't have stuff that could use what you find in the dumpsters. Hi, Shannon! You said you hate being cold. Well, I’m 75 yrs young and when that storm hit, we were without power for two days and nights. I made it through the first night but the temperature dropped into the single digits and I called a friend of mine and they told me to come to their house and stay. When I finally got back into my house, my furnace decided to quit working. Spent another night without heat but had lights. A neighbor had a friend in heating and called him. He came right out and thought he could fix it but I had to wait till the next day. Found out the thermostat went out due to the ice storm and a fuse blew out too. Now everything is back to normal. What a week I had. Hugs! Stay safe and well.👍🥰💙💙💙💙 GO LIONS!

Truly a northern girl! I used to live in northeastern Ohio....wayyyyy out in the country on a farm. I moved to Florida and now California. My body can't handle the cold anymore!
Hi, I got colored pencils too short for the electric sharpener at one of the places I volunteer. I use dried markers and empty glue bottles and sticks for crafting. I also get cardboard boxes from store displays for storage and crafting. 3 of us live in a 2BR apartment. Tina, Al's wife
I went out in minus’s 40’C with wind chill it was minus 46’C. Cars that were plugged in were not starting. It was very stupid on my part and in Canada we do not find nearly the same amounts of stuff but our makeup doesn’t get souped. It’s against store policies actually to waste time to do that. And we don’t get chemicals in the dumpsters but I guess it’s good because if we can’t find anything then they aren’t wasting stuff, I get sad when I don’t find stuff but I actually should be happy.
We too in NJ got snowmaggen. It is freezing here and windy. Went out yesterday and today and found so much stuff. Was able to fill the blessing box twice this weekend. Makes my ❤ happy.

WOW!! Awesome Scores Shannon! Absolutely Amazing!! I was a freight manager for Dollar Tree for 15+ years & let me tell you I was Shocked by the Product ended up in the Dumpster. During the Lockdown & how everyone was out buying Crapper Paper/ Toilet Paper/Loo Paper like crazy, Dollar Tree was throwing entire cases in the trash. The reasons will amaze you, On several occasions Bottles of Laundry Soap exploded on the truck and the cases of Crapper Paper were covered in Liquid Gooey Laundry Soap. Because of whoever was in charge that day, decided to Toss out Entire Cases of Toilet Paper/Loo Paper, aka as Crapper Paper, lol. Here's where I just couldn't believe their thought process on this as the Crapper Paper was in a Huge Packing Box, then each pack is wrapped in Plastic, Plastic!! and nothing got into the package. So what it came down to was apparently they didn't want too or they are just Lazy. If they would take the extra time and rinse the packages off! Nope they put into the system, saying it was damaged on truck & threw out 3 entire cases with 20 individual packs of Good Ol' Toilet Paper, aka Crapper Paper, Loo Paper in the dumpster! It blew my mind how these folks can be so Lazy, never thought the folks I worked with was SO Damn Lazy. I made sure it didn't happen again, Unbelievable! The way DT, tosses stuff like crazy, you should find out when their trucks are for General Merchandise & Frozen Truck, this is the Best Time to Score!! Either go after they accept their Trucks or Go the next day, this is where you will find entire cases in the dumpster! About a year ago I found in a DT dumpster 5 cases of Monster Energy Drink, only problem was there was several exploded in the case & has become Sticky, Came home and washed/dried the cans off, there was nothing wrong with them just a little sticky, no big deal! SMH at Retail & Super Markets!!!!
