Ive just gotten into MTB and this channel is so good, one of the things I love about it is just the sheer amount of information, good vibes and things to learn from it. Also the fact they seem to be real down to earth know their stuff and like how at 2:32 even say that certain things are difficult even for them rather than hide it and just be like oh yeah nah mate Im a pro at it. This not only adds to their true blue image of being real but also inspires confidence that you know, it is difficult and you may not get it the first time even these guys struggle but you will get it eventually, love this channel absolutely brilliant
Agree with you on the content. Channel would be even better if they got rid of the cheesy elevator background 'music', and the awful out of focus segways....
Back in the days I would endo down a staircase without any fear or problems, was very good at it. 15 years later I struggle to do a simple stoppie, go figure. It drives me mad that I´m afraid to do something I was so good at😣
I learned this trick before learning to wheelie the fact I couldn't see behind me got me on the wheelie with the stoppie and Endo being able to see in front of me didn't scare or make me nervous while doing both tricks
One vital advantage that this skill gives you on the trail is the you know better how to bail on an over the bar situation.happy New year happy mtb everyone
Only difference with wheelie braking and endo braking is that in a wheelie you grab the brake and in an endo you let go of the brake when you want to end your trick. So "modulate that brake just like in a wheelie" is putting it a bit too simply ;)
As much as I would love to do this, after 25 years of riding and going over the bars many, many times and having many, many bad injuries as a result, I just can't muster the courage to do these... a small example. On an attempted hope over a log I did not get my front up end high enough up, and over the bars I went, clipless pedals of course, and by the way I no longer use, ended up breaking my hand and smashed my face in the ground and cracked two teeth...
@Rick Nolte MTB nah you're wrong that's just called a rolling Endo/stoppie then. A nose manual doesn't use brakes which is why it's more of a BMX trick
I've switched from an old XC bike with 100mm travel and Avid Juicy brakes with a 180mm front rotor to a Giant Reign 29 that has the Shimano MT501 4 piston brakes with 203mm rotors. The XC bike was pretty easy to endo. Now I'm finding it more difficult to endo the Reign. Do the brakes lack power or can it be due to the slacker head angle and longer travel fork?
Yeah don't do that that's actually a bad habbit. the rotation of the back wheel will actually help you with your balance one you get better at them and carry more speed into them
Do you have hydro. on that beast ? I've been on V brakes since 94 & can only roll it out about 2ft but I can stick it @ 12 & hold it 5 - 7 seconds. So I hope these hydrolics is what I need to roll down the road ??
Rolling on front wheel is not so essential but you know how to manage your body position, you know how to react in a struggling situation on the trail. you will learn, how strong you could brake at your front before you get over the front.
Keep your weight central and try a little more front brake, but then bend your knees and scoop your heels and just allow the back end to rise underneath you a bit to start with :)
@Richard Nolte your right it's not the endo's but I dont have a lot of money to spend on Wheelsets. I have to work with what I can afford and if that means I cant do endo I'm cool with that.
I dont really understand the logic in the UK around having your right brake as the front brake. In France you get right hand: rear brake and rear derailleur, left hand: front brake and front derailleur (if you have one). Can someone explain this to me why it's all mixed up? Or is this good enough for an #askGMBN ?
Can you endo on your MTB? Let us know 👇
I can do a *Full Endo*
Yes I was practising it for 2 day and I learned it suprisingly
Global Mountain Bike Network no
I just don't can go for even small distances because I just have V-brakes. I really just can lift the rear wheel.

Next: How to OTB with style
That's actually a sensible skill to have. Might avoid injuries if you know how to safely OTB (which will likely add style points)
I think this could use a bit more detail for moving from an endo to an endo turn.
How do you backflip from an endo? Also 360 wallbang quickscope while you endo?
Thanks

Is the front brake on the right side of the bars in Europe?

I may be wrong, but isn't the endo stationary, and the stoppie where you continue moving?
No, that's why it's called "stop"pie

I recently got a hybird bike, after a few days I noticed a slight wobble in my front wheel. Should i get it checked out or just ignore it. Pls reply
James Odwyer.. Your tire just came out of true.. Bring it back to the bike shop where you bought it and they should true it for free.
@@thebikehippie6562 thanks so much I'll get it checked
All of the bikes I’ve had have had the same problem but I think they come out of the factory with a slight wobble, they’re never perfect.

I always thought an endo was stopping dead, and a stoppie was rolling along with rear wheel up (rolling endo)??
Just bought a MTB...Honest Question: When would you need to roll on your front wheel?
Rolling on front wheel is not so essential but you know how to manage your body position, you know how to react in a struggling situation on the trail. you will learn, how strong you could brake at your front before you get over the front.

I'll try with my 5 year old shimano brake pads which barely stop the bike
Is it possible too doo this on 500 euro Bike?
what is ENDO?? there is no translation in the dictonary :(

It stands for end over end
