I’m retired Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. We used Sildenifil to ween infants, with Persistent Pulmonic Hypertension off Nitric Oxide. Of course they were in Intensive Care with arterial lines, etc, and were getting a couple of echocardiograms a day.
I take a generic of Levitra and have been taking for 15 years about once a week. If you use it for ED it works best on an empty stomach. It may not affect the heart, but after the wife and I are done, my heart beats very fast, but in a few minutes the heart rate returns to normal. Probably from the actual event and not the fault of the drug😃
Suppose men take these drugs for "enhancement" instead of just ED. What are the effects of long-term use? Will they eventually find that they can't perform without those drugs? We get bombarded with those ads encouraging the use of those type of drugs and I'm of the mindset that nothing good can come from the constant use of the drugs when you don't need it.
Absolutely. Recreational use is widespread and can not be recommended. Next Saturday I will upload a video about common side effects and long term use.
I've heard the opposite from my doctor. Especially low dose. They do nothing bad to the heart. Even if it took 10 years off my life it'd be worth it. I'd rather die like a lion then live like a sheep.

I've actually heard the opposite, that PDE5's help promote circulation, and are good for cardio not the other way around.

Sometimes sildenafil is less effective. Is it advisable to switch to tadalafil then?
Sildenafil interacts either food you eat. If you take it on a full stomach, it could be less effective.
